  1. Hello! Because Android is based on Linux. Air also elaborates on the difference between the various apps .
  2. Hello! First off, what a stellar first post. Detailed, concise, readable, has images and all in spoilers! Is it Christmas? . Nice name as well, although I first thought you were called Jesus lol. Since it said: 2016.11.25 11:32:48 - Unable to understand if IPv6 is active. Maybe it's worth disabling IPv6 entirely, if possible. Anyhow, are you sure that AirVPN ICMPs aren't being blocked by your system or such? Problems related to server timings are often ping-related. Maybe the new client changed the permissions by mistake or something.
  3. Hello! You'll have to give us some of the Eddie logs. Resetting DNS may help you as well. But it also depends on which version of Eddie you're using.
  4. Hello! Complete junk, by the look of it . Even before visiting their site, simply due to how their very name is an act of overselling. Just like if you called yourself Unhackable. Then I went to their website and this struck me: But then: Haha. Interesting. Russia is fine, but not UK and US. I also think it suggests a sort of "jack of all trades, master of none" situation, when you have e-mail together with VPN, together with even more desperate services . This is the forum for other *VPN* services and since Air doesn't sell pendrives for instance, I think the focus should be on their VPN service. It looks lackluster for many reasons. They say they allow P2P, but not unlawful activity, yet don't specify if they include filesharing in that definition or not. Doesn't seem like they care for site security either and it seems their site is us-based. Not to mention their privacy policies and so forth aren't as comprehensive as they could be. Just my views, from a brief look.
  5. Hello! The password & username are the same. Which OSX are you using? Are you using any third party security software perhaps?
  6. Maybe if you ask the Air support reaaaallllyyyyy nicely, they can help you out ^=^. Who knows, maybe they'll be like "hm, we'll implement a one week "grace period" for people who sub up very close to a sale. Haha. Anyhow, you can be proud you contributed so much to the service! Not like the rest of these stingy people
  7. Hello! Have you tried different servers, protocols and connection modes (wired vs wireless)?
  8. Hello! If Air deems it a threat to their service and thereby their customers, you can rely on them to find a fix: even if that means momentarily shutting down UK servers, as they did with French servers recently. That said, you'll have to get a comment from Air Staff to be absolutely sure what the plans are . I'm just saying that Air is always keeping an eye on things. I hope that answers it for you.
  9. Hello! Good effort Staff! I think it's a clear sign of good organisational abilities when you retire the French servers, say you'll add more Belgian ones and then shortly after, actually follow through on that! Now we just need some of that Belgian chocolate to go along with it.
  10. If you just download the latest one, turn off the current client by exiting via its own menus and then run the installer, that'll do it. Then you run the program again as normal and check its "About" section, to see the version. At least that's my super lazy way lol.
  11. Hello! Have you tried different servers and protocols? Especially SSL protocols.
  12. Hello! It is true that the link does point to this forum. But with the volume of posts, it's not surprising if a support ticket is the way forward, for requests like yours.
  13. Hello! Thank you Staff and nice gif ;D
  14. Hello! Sweet they started the sale! How much you guys getting?
  15. Hey. As for Japanese servers and Singaporean, there's some info. Asia is an expensive place to setup servers and I don't think most of Airs users are Asian haha, so it may be hard to justify. There is some information on the features of the Eddie client, but you largely have to study it yourself. Although really, you don't have to do much. You can also check the guide in my signature, for many of the questions which may arise in regards to AirVPN. Air has already made things very simple, I think they'd like to argue . I don't know about showing your subscription in the client though. I'm not sure what you mean by having a stable load - if you mean become the next stable version, I don't know. I'm sure Air has some internal timetables, but they haven't been shared with us, to my knowledge. But they've previously said they're working hard on getting to 3.0. I hope that helps.
  16. Interesting. Can I sum that up to safely assume that Netherlands servers are generally the best to use for peer-to-peer programs, both in regards of speed and DCMA concerns? Hello! It also depends on your own connection to them. Some users have better connections to other servers. Air also doesn't care about the DMCA to my knowledge, so I don't think that makes a difference.
  17. Please don't call other people dummies. We all have different opinions, but they're harder to change if insulted. Thank you for the link otherwise. Sent to you from me with datalove
  18. lol, I think you worry too much bro. There's no other version for Windows 10, than the one which you mentioned, which mentions 10. The experimental isn't dangerous haha. If you download the wrong version somehow, don't worry. As long as you click on "Experimental" in the "Other versions" section, you'll get the latest one available.
  19. Haha, mate, if you check the guide in my signature it'll point you right to it. It's on the page where you got the standard client - just under "Other versions". There's a thread stickied in the troubleshooting forum regarding TAP drivers and their location - it's an external site.
  20. Why don't you try the experimental version then, haha? It includes a different way of handling firewalling, in addition to updates to the software you mentioned. You could also update your TAP drivers manually if you wanted to . Glad we can agree on government lol. You should see the Icelandic government these days - I think you'd like it, whatwith the pirate party and all.
  21. Hello! No need to feel stupid. It's not always clear what solution will work and work best - especially not with unfamiliar software
  22. Oh okay, that's gud. If only we had people like you in government, Staff, then we'd really get stuff done! lol
  23. What??! Tell me more Have I spread my password with my logs here? You and your sneaky log guide lol You obvisouly long for our passwords! Also a big +1 for the Log pausing. Good idea. Always annoyed me Yay a supporter! Sweet. But this one is too clever, he discovered my plan! Only if you press the button with the lifebelt . Otherwise they're not included. The lifebelt icon provides system information and can be useful. Thus it also includes your login/password. The regular logs don't, so you likely haven't, don't worry . But I've seen people who have and thus I think it's appropriate to warn people.

    AirVPN Trap?!

I am curious... I know AirVPN keeps no logs and is respective of their users privacy, but how were they able to find out who was doing the actions? Hello! I think they answered that in the review.
  25. Staff, maybe it's a silly thing, but maybe there should be a little notification during protocol changes. Like a little pop-up which says something like "Changes will come into effect on next restart ", after you click "Save". As there's otherwise very little indication that anything changed. 2.10 made it so clear that a given protocol had been selected, due to the little radial buttons . I've also thought that it would be nice if there was a little warning that your account password is included in the logs and should thus be deleted manually, when you click the lifebelt icon; just like there's a warning for enabling Network Lock: "Warning: Your password is visible in this type of log. Please delete it before sharing these logs." Lastly, I've often thought it would be nice if the logs could be paused in real-time. It's a little annoying when trying to read the logs while Eddie is running (because you want to see how long an error persists, for example, without disconnecting), but can't really do it without stopping it . Maybe it's just me. They're small things of course ^^. I just thought I'd say it, as it's Christmas soon anyway haha.
