US Government Publishes New Plan to Target Pirate Sites
LZ1 replied to Kepler_452b's topic in Off-Topic
Hello! How impressive . Imagine if they went after the banks with the same gusto, haha. -
Hello! Soon Christmas for some, soon New Years for all. Worries abound this month and the coming ones, for many people ! For all sorts of reasons. So with that, I just wanted to share a little "motivational" video with you all, which I found hilarious and inspiring: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5RH3BdXDOY This may also be the ideal response to the many threads regarding Netflix no longer being accessible! In fact, I'll tag this with Netflix, maybe it'll work
-
Hello! Have you tried different servers?

UK Google and Netflix on a US server
LZ1 replied to pandatree's topic in Troubleshooting and Problems
I very much doubt it works as advertised on those platforms. Air essentially did give up, as I see it, by removing Netflix from the list of supported sites. This is more honest in my view, as there's no point in saying you support a website, when it's sketchy at best. They did try their best I think; it's just that ultimately Netflix has been very effective in their VPN-blocking spree and thus the actions Air could take now, are either limited or perhaps exhausted entirely. It's not rude at all - but don't expect Air to do much more about it, because ultimately, it's of little consequence to Air if some customers choose not to sign up, because they can't stream from Netflix. Simply because Air isn't here primarily to make that possible. It's here firstly to promote greater privacy/security online, while for those other VPNs, the goal is likely closer to providing access to streaming sites, as that's probably what the majority of their clientele want . So if your only prerogative is to stream Netflix, then by all means, find a different VPN . But of course, I'm not a spokes person from Air, so this is my interpretation :]. -
Hello! Thank you for a very well-written post ! It was interesting to read. I'm not surprised regarding SMS and all that at all. Although I think it's certainly interesting to consider the possibility of turning off 2FA, as it doesn't seem like this parameter is questioned a lot, when one inspects various services. Likewise, it's interesting and shocking you use... Concrete? Hahahahaha really? Hahaha. I think the NSA must've long-since branded you a "terrorist" for being so security minded don't you think . As for Gmail, that's not surprising - it's Gmail ! Although the sim trick was cool . Thank you for sharing.

Oh, okay. So when you talk about the servers being on a monthly contract with no ties, can't the company that owns them be ordered to release what little info they have on the serevrs that were rented by Air? There would be ways to track the card payments right? Hello! Surely they'd then only get information on the server hardware and not what runs on them or anything like that . Thus next to useless I should think. There's always a way to track card payments lol . Just not necessarily in the ways you're worrying about. Besides, not everyone pays with card or other easily trackable methods.

Hello! I believe they're aware. That's what the "single instance" or whatever it's called, is checked in the Beta client. I think it's in the advanced area of the preferences menu, but I don't remember . I think we had some similar threads about this a while ago. But it's all a little faint to me now. Thank you for reporting it.

DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN Errors whilst using Eddie
LZ1 replied to whydoesitmatter's topic in Troubleshooting and Problems
Hello! Have you tried using different protocols? In particular SSH or SSL and then one of the other UDP ones. You may wish to use OpenNIC instead of OpenDNS as well, as Air supports them. Are you getting these issues with Network Lock on or off or both? It may also be worth trying to temporarily disable Comodo and check. Especially if you went back to the Stable client. I'm not sure what the "Shell of 'cmd.exe' thing is - is this in the Eddie client or some OpenVPN client? Sent to you from me with datalove -
Eddie - Routing Twitch.tv outside of tunnel
LZ1 replied to incredible88's topic in Troubleshooting and Problems
Hello! I imagine a site like Twitch must have many addresses. So perhaps it's easier if you run a Linux distro in a VM. Then you'll have the ability to use either the host or the guest OS as the non-VPN way in . Sent to you from me with datalove -
Quickest solution to that, would be enabling Network Lock and reporting back. I should've requested the logs be in spoilers lol. But good going anyhow. Sent to you from me with datalove

Hello! You could post your Eddie logs, so we can check nothing is out of the ordinary. Otherwise make sure you're not being hampered by any 3rd party security software, such as various antivirus suites. You can try the experimental Eddie client, if you do, as it has a better chance of working well together with these suites. Do note that the closest servers aren't automatically the best. It depends on many things, including which places are better connected. So try different servers and protocols . You should be getting faster speeds for sure. Try going to ipleak.net too, to make sure only Air addresses are showing. Lastly, you'll get different results depending on how you test your speeds:). Sent to you from me with datalove

Newbie, exit server question & poor speed, performance
LZ1 replied to my9's topic in Troubleshooting and Problems
Hello! Which Canadian server is that exactly? Sometimes there's just simple errors in what's reported. How are you measuring speed? Note that the most geographically close servers to you aren't always automatically the fastest or best ones for you, so try different servers and different protocols Sent to you from me with datalove -
Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! 1 - No. Not to my knowledge. 2 - Persistent tun or seamless tunnel as it's also called, is good to have on. Take note there's a couple of different VPN apps, so it depends which one you use. 3 - It's fine for your security. But if you mean privacy, then it's important to not mix identities, if you don't want to ruin the privacy a VPN may add. So if you're using gmail without a VPN, and then refresh the page and start using the VPN, google can see which IP addresses you went between. 4 - it's possible to route certain things outside the tunnel. On a desktop you could also use a VM for this. Sent to you from me with datalove

No connection, flushing DNS, failed, Restarting..
LZ1 replied to wildrise's topic in Troubleshooting and Problems
Hello! You could also submit a support request, in the client area, OP. But with any VPN, you have to have some patience to resolve issues. Your checking route times out. So you could try going to preferences in the Eddie client and turning off tunnel check and DNS route check, to see if anything works. The fact still remains, that without patience, you'll hardly find any worthwhile services. Sent to you from me with datalove -
Hello! I don't see how you make the connection between UK pages not loading as quickly as you'd like and Airs ability to protect you from the Snoopers Charter. I think you'd do better not assuming it's Airs fault, when there's many very satisfied customers and instead trying to troubleshoot the problem, which is very likely on your system. Not having shared IPs would also reduce your privacy, which incidentally flies in the face of your Snoopers Charter fears. How about you check ipleak.net to make sure you have no leaks. Maybe share your logs of when you visit the website in question, tell us about your OS, Browser and other such things? Sent to you from me with datalove

Hello! Please provide logs from the Eddie client, from line 1, when the problem occurs. Sent to you from me with datalove

Connecting, Disconnecting, Flushing DNS Loop

Try set your TAP networking adapters media status to always connected. Sent to you from me with datalove -
Network becomes periodically unusable.
LZ1 replied to nouk2016's topic in Troubleshooting and Problems
Did you turn off both tunnel and DNS route check? Did you try different protocols and then reconnect? With Eddie 2.10, make sure to turn it off via its own menus before you close your computer. You could also try the experimental version . Sent to you from me with datalove -
ANSWERED Not connecting, restarting, flushing DNS loop
LZ1 replied to djswitchone's topic in Troubleshooting and Problems
Haha, it's great you think so. But I can't take credit from Air support . They're the real professionals. We're just a helpful community. @ kumquatq3 It's great you checked out the stickied threads haha! Good effort. -
Eddite 2.11 not work on win10, but 2.10 work well
LZ1 replied to airvpn_go's topic in Eddie - AirVPN Client
Hello! Is the only suspicious thing I could find. It could look like Eddie can't find your interface ID or can't understand it. Perhaps you can try going to Eddie>Preferences>Advanced and disabling WFP (if it's checked). Have you tried using a different protocol? What version of Eddie 2.11.x is this? -
Do you remember to disconnect and/or restart the client every time you change protocol? How about setting your TAP driver media status to "Always Connected" ?
