  1. This thread is 6 months old and since then new software has been released, so I recommend that you try out the latest Eddie client first . Otherwise, please provide more information on your system and any erroneous behavior you encounter, thank you.
  2. If you didn't download it and you find tech stuff hard, what do you have to un-install? It sounds like you never installed anything to begin with. Eddie is the codename for the AirVPN software that you need to use the VPN. Simply creating an account on this site and paying 1 euro, as it sounds like you've done, does not mean you're using the VPN. You download from here. Simply pick the relevant system that you have, such as Windows 10 in your case and then click the big blue download button. After installing the software, open it, login and click "Connect to a recommended server", as seen here: That's it. Then you would be using the VPN. No need to worry about which continent to surf from or anything else. Just get familiar with the software first. It sounds like you already were on the right track, but maybe you didn't install the software or run it after you did or something. You said you initially downloaded: airvpn_windows8_x64_installer When you should have downloaded: eddie-ui_2.11.15_windows-10_x64_installer.exe which you can do on the aforementioned Windows download page. But if you DID install that software, then yes, you would be able to remove it again via the "add or remove programs" menu. Is this clearer? Take care
  3. Hello! You need to disconnect between protocol changes. The active protocol can be seen on the Stats menu entry. Try alternative UDP protocol ports. I've never seen any indication that NL needs to be disabled or not. You're of course welcome to try both. It's also recommended to try other speedtests besides Airs, depending on what you're testing. Say, torrent DL speeds. You don't have to close your browser between changes. You could simply clear your browser cache too, if your wondering gets the better of you. If you want to test your connection to a specific server it can be beneficial to lock Eddie to that server naturally. It really depends on what you're trying to test. Latency to servers change all the time and therefore the recommended server that Eddie picks will also change eventually.
  4. Network Lock is a feature of the Eddie client software which you (normally) download when using AirVPN. You also don't have to worry about TCP/UDP or where to surf from. And yes you can uninstall the AirVPN Eddie software as you normally would with any other software . You could also check the new user guide in my signature.
  5. It's absolutely in-topic with this forum. In fact sometime i'm thinking if ipleak.net need to show some Fingerprinting detection, but at the same-time i don't want to transform it into a bloatware. Would you still think it's bloatware if it was just made optional? Much like the torrent test . To me it doesn't seem bloaty at all, if it's collapsed and voluntary. Maybe that's just me.
  6. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! Please try and upgrade to the latest stable client . Just like when you downloaded the software the first time. It was just released, but you managed to grab the previous Stable 2.10 client haha.
  7. Updated: Noted release of 2.11.15 version of EddieAdded instructions from Khariz and ~Daniel~ on Torrenting with Tixati.Added info on free trials, which I assume to be correct: "Trials have unlimited data and full speed. But you can only get a refund if you have used less than 5GB".Added info on Glasnost tests for testing traffic shaping. Thanks to giganerd. Not so much in this update, as I just wanted to make some quick edits due to 2.11.15 being released.
  8. Hello! Isn't Network Lock enough for you?
  9. Hello! Have you tried going to your Client Area and disconnecting any other devices you may have connected? You could also try using different protocols in the client. Do make sure no third party security software could be interfering as well
  10. Which client version are you using? You can try to switch to the TCP protocol and turn off checking route, in Eddie.
  11. Hello! You need to edit your post. There's no logfile .
  12. https://airvpn.org/topic/14801-witch?-—-vpn-and-proxy-detector-can-detect-openvpn-cipher-mac-and-compression-usage/?p=30280 Besides SSL/SSH and perhaps a couple of browser plugins.
  13. Hello! Tremendous effort Air! Those download pages are looking super nice too! Well done!
  14. I see. Why would you need a killswitch guide? There's various guides in the how-to forum, but if you use Eddie, the Network Lock does the job.
  15. Normally Air ICMPs, ping, needs to be allowed.
  16. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! Just download the Eddie client and click the "Disconnect" button when you don't want to use it anymore.
  17. By the way, just for reference, you need to be using the Beta client, not the current 2.10 Stable client, when using Linux . Details in my signature if you don't know where to find it.
  18. Hello! I seem to remember them saying somewhere that it wasn't a priority to support it. But if you're having problems, then there are solutions.
  19. Hello! Don't disable DNS switchmode. There's a corresponding "check AirVPN DNS" setting you can try to disable. You can also try to disable IPv6 on all adapters, including TAP . But it's probably complicated a little by how you're doing a tunnel inside another tunnel.
  20. Hello! I'm not sure if it works, but if you go to the Stats area in the client, you can find the path to Eddie and there might be an AirVPN.xml file there, which you can try to delete, after closing Eddie first. Otherwise make sure no security software could be blocking Eddie.

    New user feedback

Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! This should probably be in the review section. It's good to see your feedback . You're referring to the micro-routing feature and yes it's indeed lovely. As for pricing, you can take out another 1 year sub when November/December rolls around and the likely accompanying 25-35% sale. Air has ya covered There's grand designs for Eddie too.
  22. Good, I hope you enjoy. Come November/December there will likely be a 25-35% sale and then you can keep the ball rolling!
  23. Enjoy. With its Network Lock you won't have leaks for sure, especially. Remember to go download the Experimental. Not 2.10. Or you'll be making another post very soon about why it doesn't work.
