  1. Then you can go to the client settings and turn off "Check if tunnel works" in the Advanced settings. Turning off "Check AirVPN DNS" can also be required sometimes. Enable Network Lock. You can also try to use different protocols. Select one and then reconnect to a server
  2. Hello! If you mean the thing with obtaining IPv4 automatically, then you can just go to your Mac network settings and look for similar settings. It's also not a serious bug, in the sense that it's not a security problem.
  3. Hello! It's always good to not just rely on OpenVPN/AirVPN exclusively, but to use other measures too, yes. Just don't use 2 firewalls or 2 antivirus naturally .
  4. Hello! Maybe for some the Beta client would help. Is the OP using any 3rd party security software by the way? You might benefit from submitting a support ticket, with details of your system. The lifebelt icon in Eddie is useful for this purpose. But which version of Windows are you using OP? I can't find it mentioned anywhere. @DebMul Please try turning off IPv6 on all adapters, as it can oftentimes cause unexpected problems .
  5. Hello! Did you follow the guide?. Also, it would appear your name is showing in the file you made available, on one of the first lines regarding the user path. Just in case you wish to change it .
  6. Hello! I don't quite understand. Do you mean to say you switched to a different user normally? If so, why not just use the Windows key + L to lock the screen? Modern PCs don't take a great deal of damage of at all from being left running. When idle, they'll simply "run slower" so to speak. Some of the newer Intel CPUs even have modes that allow for very low-power states to be activated. So while there *could* be a reduction in lifespan, I think you'd need to keep that computer for well beyond its shelf life for that to be an issue. Anyhow, isn't it enough just to disconnect Eddie and then reconnect when you start your PC again? Whether it's from sleep, hibernation or whatnot. In the battery section(s) you can even find options to simply turn off the screen, but leave the PC running.
  7. Hello! People are still using Comodo for sure. But Eddie recently introduced the usage of Windows Filtering Platform - WFP. As an alternative to just using Windows Firewall. Thus (hopefully) allowing for greater compatibility with 3rd party firewall/security software, exactly like Comodo.
  8. Hello! Have you updated to the latest Eddie client? You can try turn off IPv6 on all adapters, including TAP.
  9. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! ISPs can naturally see what you're doing. Whether or not they're trying to spy on you depends on your country. But a VPN guards against this. Thus it also wouldn't matter if you were torrenting, as you'd be protected, provided there's no leaks. It's hard to say if you're blocked, throttled or having your traffic shaped, as things can change quite quickly and arbitrarily based on various conditions. If you use SSL for example, then it's simply the overhead from the protocol itself which can cause a slump in speed. There's a project called Glasnost which you can check out, to test ISP traffic shaping if you wish. I'd just be happy to get your speeds though. You can use whichever software you like. But if you don't use Eddie, you have to find other means of enacting Network Lock-like behavior if you want it. Many do this using custom firewall rules like those of pfSense. Eddie is a very good piece of software though, as it's open, has many features, presents things in a good way, doesn't have ads or spyware and so forth. Air naturally can't speak for what others do with the software they manage, so it's largely up to you to find out what you need. There's nothing wrong with not using Eddie though, not at all. Eddie is just an OpenVPN "wrapper", in that it wraps things up in a nicer package . There's a lot of things which need to be updated . Android is Linux-based. It tripped me up too lol.Ich liebe Deutschland
  10. Hello! Are you using the Eddie client? Are you using Network Lock, if so? You can try to reset DNS' settings, as that can sometimes be the problem.
  11. Hello! Have you all tried this Wayland fix? . If that doesn't fix it, I suggest submitting some logs to the support team, so they can get working on it. If you're using the Eddie client, you could also give the Beta client a run.
  12. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! We'll need some more information, such as your logs. Are you using the Eddie client? You can check the guide in my signature for how to do all this.
  13. Hello! As you can find in the statement, you'll see that Air is of course interested in bringing back French servers, but that it requires France to again be a viable location. It's no use if Air places servers in places and conditions hostile to their mission now is it . So I'd say the answer is a strong "probably", but we don't know when. It depends on France and its policies. That said, you can still access many French sites, if that's what you're worried about. Just make sure to use AirVPNs DNS. Which is all handled by the Eddie client.
  14. Hello! Haha wow. Well depending on what platform you're on... It could update when you update your OS. Like if you use Linux .
  15. Hello! If you haven't done so already, you can try to follow some of the troubleshooting tips in my signature for blocked sites.
  16. Hello! Uninstall all that and install the AirVPN Eddie Client. Then enable Network Lock. You could also use qBittorent instead of Vuze. But you don't need the VPN helper plugin at least and I've never heard anyone use it in conjunction with AirVPN. At any rate, there's torrenting guides in my new user guide. Please check my signature .
  17. I think the community would always appreciate a new guide - I know I certainly would . So if you do make one, hit me up and I'll reference it for others to find. Goodness knows we could always use a new guide aimed at newcomers. Thank you, take care, I hope you enjoy AirVPN :].
  18. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! True. Unless you want to run them. Yep it can get tough, thus try accessing things via the client first, before trying the router path. Easily disabling is not guaranteed and depends on the software and/or your setup. Expect difficulty. VPNs guard against insecure WiFi, that is the point of a secure tunnel. The rest you can find in my guide.
  19. Hello! Are you making sure to use the AirVPN DNS, without leaks? Can be accomplished easily with the Eddie client.

Welcome to AirVPN! You need to go to the Client Area and submit a support ticket requesting this
  21. Haha, great. Couldn't let your 1 year sub go to waste now could we!
  22. Hello! There's a Virgin Media guide in the guides section of my new user guide. Check my signature. Maybe it'll help. I would say get a Turris Omnia, but that's ambitious haha.
  23. Hello! Did you update your client version?
  24. Hello! Just so that it's mentioned, there's a guide for it: https://airvpn.org/topic/17378-how-to-fix-connection-drops-and-bandwidth-issues-with-virgin-media-while-using-airvpn/?p=39996 Otherwise referenced in my new user guide too, along with others.
