    GAWD BLESS YOU

Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! I hope you enjoy it. Remember that you can use different protocols too. If you've got any questions or such, please feel free to post . Hope you Enjoy AirVPN.
  2. And have you updated your client? It would be helpful with some logs from the Air client .
  3. Hello! There's frequently threads asking where servers are, due to ipleak showing them as being in different places. Usually it's some internal error to Maxmind or other indexing services and gets corrected. Nothing to worry about .
  4. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! The difference is that the Turris Omnia is a project specifically meant to provide a router that enthusiasts can play around with, while the ZBOX is an actual PC firstly. Both are just examples, to get people started with their own research however. Even just installing OpenWRT or similar firmware on your current router, is arguably already better and a security enhancement. Of course it can get a little blurry. But note for example, that the Omnia comes with custom software, which does things like automatically keep the firmware up to date; a real benefit in security terms, if it works, since routers are often left in a corner and as such security updates are easily forgotten; if they're even provided by the manufacturer at all. The Omnia may also be more easily extensible. If you check their forums, you'll find many people swapping out parts in the Omnia, for some sort of performance boost or role-change. In addition, the Omnia is far more powerful than most of the typical consumer routers; even the "high-end" ones like the Asus one you listed. You can for instance see how the Omnia (and Zbox) have more powerful processors, which is ideal for obtaining good performance levels with OpenVPN (which is what Air uses). Or how for instance, the Omnia can have up to 2GB RAM, while by comparison many of the "high-end" consumer routers have no more than 256MB. So in router terms, either the Zbox or Omnia can serve as better long-term investments than conventional routers. Likewise, the Omnia also gives you access to some ports which are a rarity, if not actually never seen(SFP), on consumer routers and which a PC may not come with. The Omnia should also be more "plug and play"ish than the Zbox, in networking terms. We've got guides around here for PfSense though. It's really up to you and how involved you wish to get. Both are platforms with which you can build your networking dreams on . Note also that as I added those entries at different times, it wasn't intended to make it seem like a comparison between the two, but merely to point people in a direction, to do their own research, as many simply don't know where to start .
  5. Hello! You can see the credit earned in places like your purchases, under "Account Credit". Which can then be applied when you renew your sub .
  6. You can try to disable IPv6 on all adapters
  7. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! Are you using Wayland or something similar? If so, try disabling it.
  8. Hello! I often recommend disabling, if it's not in use. Mostly because it gives a lot of people a headache when it causes problems.
  9. Hello! I'd say download Eddie before departure, use SSL/SSH and maybe even get Tor ready just in case. It does work in China, although it might be patchy. There are some China-related threads around here if you look .
  10. Hours on setup? It's only a matter of downloading, installing and then launching the program. Whereby you can then use Network Lock, try out different servers and protocols. Remember you need to reconnect to a server after changing protocol. But you may also have to use Tor or other tools.

We briefly broke 15k . Not much new on BW.
  12. Hello! Are you using Eddie? If so, make sure you're using the latest one. Otherwise TCP can help sometimes.
  13. Remember to make use of your referral link now, if you want to add a little cash to your subscription .
  14. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! It would be nice if you posted the logs, when you get kicked off. There's also a status page on this site, for seeing which servers may or may not have issues.
  15. Hello! Some do like to uncheck things like the UTP protocol. There's guides to torrent client settings in my new user guide, in my signature.
  16. Hello! Thank you for sharing. That's interesting. I wonder if they can be sued for, in a sense, stopping people from accessing something they bought in good faith. I can just imagine this is possible.
  17. Hello! So are you saying that downloading Eddie For Linux and then opening the download using gdebi and following the wizard doesn't work? You don't need to open any OpenVPN files and certainly not in the Network Manager, if you're just using Eddie. Besides this, you were always able to send support tickets via the Client Area, instead of waiting so long. Hopefully you weren't searching for "eddie" in your system instead of "Air" or such .
  18. Hello! It means it doesn't work and that you're safe.
  19. Hello! WOW! TEN?! Wouldn't that make this the biggest one-time server add that AirVPN has done? At any rate, thank you! Quite excellent. I imagine it must also come in handy for UK users, given that the UK might join France in having its share of servers shut down, due to hostile government dispositions towards human rights.
  20. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! You could try to disable IPv6 on all adapters, including the TAP adapter .
  21. Hello! This should be in the reviews section. Very nice post though, it's super that you solved the problem and got things working ! I don't find that Google DNS fallback too desirable though. It would seem to be more ideal if a different DNS like those of Air-supported Open-NIC were available. I also wouldn't classify PureVPN as much else besides a little Shady too . At any rate, thank you for sharing your findings with the community. I'm sure it'll help someone. I don't think Staff will find much novelty in your post however, as they themselves often recommend TCP in such cases too.
  22. Hello! Air Staff know about the issue, but it has a very low priority according to what Clodo said some time ago, so there's no publicly available timetable, as far as I know. Until then, you can either disable it, keep trying the latest Beta releases of Eddie or... Switch distro, haha .
  23. Hello! Maybe you could check out the link in my signature regarding blocked sites.
