  1. Hello Welcome to AirVPN! (You didn't welcome our new guest, EdenSpire, tsk tsk ) As per number 3, do disable any adapters that you don't use and make sure you're not changing Windows Firewall. Network Lock relies on WF to do its thing, so if it's messed up, then NL won't work either. So to get to it: Make sure you've done your portforwarding so your Torrenting actually works. Make sure you've disabled IPv6, as suggested previously. Try to disable this adapter: DNS of a network adapter restored to original settings (NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller) Try switch to a potentially better Torrent Client, wherein you can also bind it to the VPN adapter. Try change your TAP drivers as suggested. You could help giganerd Consider uninstalling any 3rd party firewalls you have and restoring your Windows firewall to its original settings Try increasing your buffer size. Check my guide in my signature, in the section to "After" Eddie is downloaded. Make sure you're using UDP, when you download the config files. In preferences/Advanced/General you can do things like disable IPv6 and remove the default gateway route.
  2. Hello ! Not so odd in fact, when you run many servers all over the world . A couple of days ago, Canadian servers were blocking peoples access to this site.
  3. By the way, have any of you tried checking your IP and DNS settings? That they're set to "Obtain Automatically" on all adapters. Likewise, if you're using network lock, have you tried restoring the windows firewall to default settings, if the above didn't work? How about checking that your TAP drivers are okay, if you're using Windows (there's a stickied thread in the troubleshooting forum). Or just simply tried switching to different servers? :] Especially ones outside the country whose servers are giving you problems. There's also the checking that your AirVPN client is 2.10.3 or newer - some users run with old clients for a long time. An update was released too.
  4. Have you tried changing your TAP drivers? There's a stickied thread in the forum.
  5. Hello ! That depends on which servers you're using. It's easily possible for some servers to have issues while all others remain problem-free. So for that reason, it's important you give us more information, such as: what server you're using, what OS and so forth. This is easily done by sharing your log files; which you can find the AirVPN Eddie Client program.
  6. Hello ! We can't look into much if you don't post your logs in spoiler tags sadly.
  7. Hello ! You're using the old AirVPN client. Please download an update, in addition to the config files if needed. In addition to changing your TAP drivers. Feel free to check out my guide as well, in my signature.

    [TOXIC WASTE] ---

Hello ! It's a little weird to say perhaps & it's not due to looking to take sides, but I just wanted to mention that I at least have often found your posts both interesting and useful, OP. In case you were tempted to think that everyone uniformly hates or dislikes you and/or your content, leading you to not be welcome here Just a "for the record", sort of thing, so that you know that's not the case. I also already made my thoughts clear in thread 1, so there's no need for me to repeat them here. Have a good day
  9. Considering it's such a quality VPN, one might as well get serious about ones own hardware setup as well lol.
  10. Hello ! @booty69 maybe you should check out the update. Holy thread necro as well lol, 2011 haha. Back then, .ovpn config files were shared by chiseling them into small rocks you know. Mods aren't going to be pleased.
  11. I just use DD-WRT, but I'm going to switch to a Zbox like solution eventually.
  12. Hello ! OpenVPN exacts a high toll on router CPUs, so perhaps you should consider a dedicated box like the Zbox Nano, with pfSense.
  13. Hello ! That's interesting. You might want to put the logs into spoilers, for convenience sake.
  14. I don't know if you read my guide on the matter, but it's in my signature . It doesn't lock you to a server, but it does mean that if your connection drops that you'll get disconnected; including during server changes. There's many version sof the TAP driver and not all of them work equally well - there's been problems with one of the later ones. Running a VPN naturally does affect gaming, but the affect doesn't need to be a big one. My ping/latency didn't significally increase when playing networked games. Network Lock is super useful if you're trying to max out your security as much as possible.
  15. Hello ! If you have Network Lock enabled, then it should.
  16. Well most people don't do their research, which is evidenced by many of the horrible providers still getting customers .
  17. Ouch that's horrible. If their name comes up in the comparison forum, do give us a warning shout haha. Air did lament the poor quality killswitches of other providers as well, in its comments on Network Lock.
  18. Hello ! OP I recommend just pasting your logs into some spoiler tags, for us to view them easily.

    EFF & FSF Support?

Hey the already AirVPN funded Tor Project just changed their board of directors and one thing was especially interesting in an AirVPN context: The new board members also include three women, including Cindy Cohn, the executive director of the Electronic Frontier FoundationThe EFF !
  20. Wait I just noticed that it's John Titor who wrote this. Wasn't this the guy who came back from the future? He might be referring to a future event wherein AirVPN is down!

    Zero Days

Hello ! zhang have you ever heard the joke: If you don't know your TLAs then you will be engaging in CLAs? Aka, if you don't know your Three Letter Acronyms, you'll be engaging in Career Limiting Activities. Hahaha. Thanks for the info zhang. Thanks for the post OP - was a good doc.
