  1. Don't worry about it. As I said, just ask. Questions are questions, whether "nooby" or not. In fact, I made a guide just for new people, as you can check in my signature. I think it's more important that you use the VPN right, by for instance: Making sure there's no IP or DNS leaks, such as via the WebRTC technology. Do this by visitng ipleak.netMaking sure your hardware is actually up to the task; especially if you mean to use a router, but also in terms of having devices which are fast enough and don't have other problems, like malware and so on.Using SSL tunnelling in the Eddie client.Maybe that ISP should be called up, mmm. Even if you use a VPN on your router, they can still see you're using encryption and your speeds might suffer as I said, if your router isn't up for it.
  2. Hello ! Welcome to AirVPN! First of all, don't be afraid of asking questions. Please do so here or feel free to PM me directly. As zhang said, you'll need to see if you can install software on your router called WRT, such as OpenWRT & DD-WRT. I checked out the DD-WRT router database but I didn't find your model. So it's probably not supported. However don't give up. You can check out a general guide on how to setup this stuff; if your router can do it. I/We should warn you however, that you need a pretty strong router to be able to run a VPN on it, as it's very demanding. Most consumer routers aren't really that great at it. So unless it's really critical that you use the VPN from your router, I recommend you simply install the VPN on each individual PC/Device. You have 3 devices per account that you can do this on. I also found what appears to be a manual for your router, if that's worth anything. Good luck !
  3. Hello ! It requires trust. So in that sense, claims by VPN providers can be pretty worthless. Also, I don't think warrant canaries have ever been tested in court, so while I like the idea of them, I don't think it's guaranteed that they work . I'm a little bummed that you trust them to the same degree as AirVPN though.
  4. Hello ! I know this is late. But you can always try to use route checking tool to see which servers may or may not have issues accessing a site.
  5. Hello ! Please use spoiler tags for your logs. As you can see, it's unbearably long . Check my signature. It's simple to do.
  6. Alright, well if you work with us, I think we can help you. I know it sucks when things don't work out. Questions: Are you getting actual letters in your mailbox for simply using a VPN, from your ISP? Maybe your ISP is more oppressive than usual.Which platform are you on? Windows 7? Windows 10? Mac OSX?If you're using the AirVPN software client called "Eddie", could you please open it and go to the "logs" tab and paste your logs here? (In spoiler tags, ideally) AirVPN is one of the best VPNs out there right now, I dare say. So if it doesn't work with AirVPN, I wouldn't be so hopeful about it working with other ones. You can go to www.ipleak.net and see your IP addresses. It's useful for checking if a VPN is working correctly. Damn, zhang you speed demon!
  7. Hello ! Have you made sure you're not leaking your addresses, by checking www.ipleak.net ? Also, you can check out the the route checking tool to test website availability
  8. Hello ! Welcome to AirVPN. Merely using the VPN shouldn't warrant a letter from your ISP. However you can check my guide if you're new to this VPN stuff. If you used the feature called "Network Lock", as zhang hinted at, then that's why you don't have an internet connection, if you can't connect to an AirVPN server. Because it shuts it off, for protection sake. You don't have to use Network Lock though, but for maximum security, it is recommended. You should also check that your browser isn't "leaking", on www.ipleak.net.
  9. Hello ! I don't know why this wasn't replied to, sorry. Using the route checking tool, I can see that a lot of servers can't get access, perhaps due to overloading (503). But it seems Canadian servers are alright, so you should try switching to those . I personally got a 403 forbidden however, but I'm not on a Canadian one. But if you want to torrent stuff, you could also check out other sites such as extratorrent.cc or kickasstorrents; maybe they have what you want Welcome to AirVPN by the way.
  10. Hello ! Good you notified us. I don't know why no one replied to this. Anyhow, the service doesn't appear to be blocked when I check it. So perhaps you should try using a Swedish or Netherlands server . Following the the route checking, it sure does seem to not be accessible for many servers. If there's anything else, please just post here or PM me.
  11. Hello ! I have a feeling that they do that on purpose, as I've experienced it too. It's as with cookies: look how delicious they are! Yummm, NO YOU CANT HAVE THEM! xD Terrible isn't it. You won't see many cookie-related jokes on this technical forum, so I urge you to savor it. As with cookies.
  12. Hello ! Welcome to AirVPN. It's a shame you've experienced these issues. Since this kernel panic could point to other things being wrong with your machine, perhaps you should try various troubleshooting tests, in order to rule out certain things like the hardware, if possible. Provided you follow the various troubleshooting steps and you still experience problems, then you will perhaps at the very least still be left with a more clean computer in the end. So it's a win-win . Of course, if you have other questions, suggestions or issues, you should feel free to post them here and/or PM me if you'd like; this is a quality VPN and a few kernel panics shouldn't stand in your way of experiencing that . I recommend that if those troubleshooting steps don't work out of for you, that you consider asking on the Apple Forums, as I think it's quite limited what we can really do for you, since we're all about AirVPN software and not MacOS software . You already made an excellent opening post as well, by providing all the necessary information in a nice way. So don't give up! Just because you're running El Capitan, you can still be the Boss When you've then solved the issue at hand, you're most welcome to check out the guide that I linked to in my signature, in order to really get started with AirVPN in a good way (since it can be confusing for new people). Take care ^^
  13. Hello ! I think you have to turn off IPv6 completely. Have you stopped WebRTC from leaking? You can use ipleak.net You probably already know. But it's good to mention
  14. Hello ! Do you mean http://www.ticketmaster.com/?tm_link=tm_logo ? It would be nice with a link, both for convenience and to be 100% sure. Because I had no problems accessing the site; albeit I'm not using a us server. So if it's purely for notification purposes, that's nice of you. Otherwise, you could try change servers Checking the routes does yield failure across the board though, on my screen, except for two Romanian servers which got a 403 forbidden code. Did you get any message about the block? If so, maybe it would be helpful to post here, if you'd like.
  15. Hello ! It looks like they're up though, so are you sure the problem isn't on your end? Feel free to attach some logs, in spoiler tags, if you wish
  16. Hello ! I've heard talk that a new edition of the Eddie client is currently in alpha, if that means anything
  17. Hello ! They have to say that, lol. But then again, he's right though, it's not a backdoor. It's a frontdoor. Just like Windows Update is also for delivering "updates and fixes". Well, quite a few unwilling Windows 7 and 8 users found out how that ultimately worked haha.
  18. Hello ! Was this issue ever resolved? Was support contacted? Remember them spoiler tags
  19. Hello ! Maybe they meant you shouldn't be interfering with the national network, hereby also school networks, of surveillance

    EFF & FSF Support?

Ah yes, thank you for clarifying that Staff . I just re-read the guidelines: EFF & FSF should've had separate threads I see. Sorry I overlooked this; do PM me if it's more convenient/better/whatever and I'll split them up .
  21. Hello ! Maybe this will be a little instructive. (Welcome to AirVPN by the way )
  22. Hello ! So you somehow found this thread just to say thank you? That's quite admirable, even if it is a necro. Haha, nice!
  23. Hello ! Mr zhang didn't say it this time, but maybe you should consider switching to open-alternatives ike qBittorent I don't know how fast your internet speeds are or what the default settings in vuze are, but increasing the amount of connections can make things faster too ^^
  24. Hello ! Why don't you ask them and see what they say? Then you get to test their support systems and level of honesty. Then if you share the results with us, we might be able to help you identify if they failed to mention something important. Their site looks nice, but the service appears fairly rudimentary to me.
  25. Hello ! Well, ahem, AirVPN is in quite a different league from HMA . A lot of VPNs don't do things properly in terms of technology that they could be using to better their services; others outright lie and deceive you, as to what their actual capabilities are. So in that respect, I don't think it's unusual if you had problems with HMA of that nature . #ReservesRight2Fanboy lol
