  1. Hello ! Maybe you should check this out. You can also check out your TAP driver to try downgrading or upgrading it.
  2. Hello ! Do what you did, but in addition to that, also go to General>Advanced & disable the same thing for DNS. Welcome to AirVPN . AirVPN is having problems with this, but it's being worked on, no worries.
  3. Hello ! I'll be the first to say that AirVPN support isn't the best - although it's a tradeoff. Slow response times vs support staff who know their stuff. This is why there's no live chat for instance, because while you *could* then get faster replies, the support staff either might not be qualified technicians or they might be qualified, but not have time to test the problem that you're reporting. But they're very qualified people, once they get around to replying and very professional otherwise. Anyhow... If you check the support forum you might see there's a number of threads near the top with many replies. One of the reasons why replies can be slow, is that if you post support requests like you posted this thread, then it's clear why: you don't provide any information. I say this respectfully and in a matter-of-fact tone; not to judge. In short, we don't know things like: Your operating system (Windows, OSX, Android, etc.)Servers you tried connecting to (Some servers might have problems, while others might not)What, if anything, you did to cause the problem (Such as an explanation of events)Technical information (Which can be viewed in the Eddie "Logs" section and which you should always append your posts with)So if you'd like help, i recommend that you first check that forum - because there's been loads of people who have had problems for a little while, due to an AirVPN server thing. But it has been solved. Otherwise, you'll have to post your logs in tags . Keep in mind that Air staff are all likely in 1 timezone and so perhaps weren't arround during the time of your request and they also have been swamped, due to lots of people suddenly having similar issues to you; including myself, although I didn't submit a ticket. It was good you tried searching before posting, though. I hope this helped. P.S. I should also remind you that AirVPN isn't a huge company, by their own description. So I suspect it's very easy to be overwhelmed with support requests . But you can be sure that once you do get support, it's a technically-knowledgable person. Which, if you've ever tried dealing with a non-technical support person you're trying to get help from, is a small blessing in itself lol.
  4. Hello ! If you had pasted your logs in, you should've used spoiler tags anyway. But anyhow, have you tried updating your TAP drivers? There's a sticky in the forum you posted in.
  5. I understand it sucks bro. But we'll surely work it out :]. So... To nitpick. Do you have the latest .Net framework required? Or how about you try install the experimental version. Or do you have any anti-virus software? If you do, you could try open it and find the exceptions list and put AirVPN.exe & OpenVPN.exe in the exceptions list.
  6. The Staff have replied. Hey guys, just so you know the Staff have replied and solved the issue.
  7. Hello ! I just want to say thank you for the update and the hardwork
  8. Hello ! I found that doing this, connecting and then disconnecting again and enabling those options, makes it work. OP, you should pick a solution. Click in the right hand corner of the post which solves the problem; such as the one I quoted. It makes it easier to find.
  9. Hello ! OP, you should pick someones answer as the solution, so that people don't keep posting "I have the same problem". It's in the bottom right corner. Pick this solution for instance.
  10. Hello ! You can check the Status page. We don't know if there's anything wrong with your client, as you didn't give us any information to go on.
  11. Thanks. Yes it's more suitable for guide-writers, although I just wanted a place where some of the code was displayed - I couldn't find it previously . While I can see your point, I did mean it as a joke; although I'm sure such people will say anyone is a paid shill, whoever they mention lol. But the factualness is a reference to posting on old reviews of AirVPN or pointing out that just because provider X offers "more protocols" like PPTP, it doesn't necessarily mean it's better. For instance when a guide that still gets comments wrties that AirVPN only allows 1 connection per account or something. Then it would be nice if someone posted a correction and told them it's 3 connections, as of 2016 . Thanks for your input.
  12. You were waiting for the opportunity to include this in one of your posts, weren't you? Laying in wait, ready to spring the trap!
  13. It all makes sense now! I mean he lives in Texas, so he's presumeably far from civilisation right?! Yet he knows so much. It must be true.
  14. I linked to your post in my latest guide by the way, if that's ok
  15. Hello ! Some have asked me how they can help out. How To Help AirVPN Succeed So here's some ways I propose how: Help new people. It's very easy to feel intimidated, due to the high level of technical knowledge displayed. Especially by the l33t Staff account. But don't just help them. Make them feel welcome. A very complex solution to this, is to say "Welcome" when they post their first posts. How about posting your review of AirVPN; a nice good solid long review, telling others how AirVPN is so good you want to visit Italy, etc. etc. Post your "logs" in spoiler tags, when you need help with something. See my signature for how to do so. Some logs are super long, so it helps. Ask & discuss the features of other VPNs & help make us all smarter. Where did you come from? Where are you going? What is love? etc. Make a guide/how-to about something you care about. Heck, even if it's just a nice index of useful programs/software, for instance. Post comments on review sites & tell them why they're wrong! Lol no, just use facts instead;) . Be charming & factual, like Zorro! Video reviews are especially great, as the ones which are highest on the youtube lists I'm seeing, are like your kindergarten pics! ANCIENT! Go to your Client Area and use your "Referral" code to invite more friends to the service & profit from it yourself too. Can't let Air get lonely! Go to threads like this & see if you can contribute with a new language or spread the word about it. Got any Arabic-speaking friends hmm? Answer questions that you're able to answer, in all of the sub-forums. With time, you become more knowledgeable . Find projects that you think Air should support. This way, your Air sub helps many more projects! Make sure they are in-line with Airs "mission". Help AirVPN test out new versions of their software. Be creative and find positive ways to add to the service; I'll be the first to admit Air doesn't give many tips lol. So don't feel bad. How To Make Your Forum Posts More Appealing(Mini Styleguide) Why is presentation important? Because this is a technical forum. So we read a lot. It's easier to get help, solve a problem & share knowledge when things are presented well. All codes on this forum, usually at least, follow the same formula: there's a "start" tag and an "end" tag. End tags are showed by a slash: /. Remember to close things off correctly, or it can ruin your entire post, if you forget either a [ or a ] character. Note: When you want to make an index, you currently have to "Reserve" a spot, by posting blank posts to your own guide, so that you can link to these posts after you finish editing them. This way, you can eventually create an index. Very useful if your guide or post is very long. Some useful codes: Links can be long, ugly, annoying & broken by linebreaks. So make it easy for everyone by making clickable words. Critical for a stylish guide & helpful posts. You can link directly to individual posts by clicking the # in the top right corner of the post you want to copy. Just click and then copy the link. [url=https://airvpn.org/]This can be clicked[/url] [url=https://airvpn.org/topic/18339-guide-to-getting-started-links-for-advanced-users/?p=43734]This links to my other guide[/url] Result: This can be clicked This links to my other guide Style headings in your posts, for much-better-looking management of paragraphs. It doesn't go past h3. [h1=This Is The Biggest Heading][/h1] [h2=This Is The Second Biggest Heading][/h2] [h3=This Is The Third Biggest Heading][/h3] Result: This Is The Biggest Heading This Is The Second Biggest Heading This Is The Third Biggest Heading These tags are the most flashy available on the forums and are naturally excellent at bringing attention to the most important things. [info]Did you know Eddie likes to read logs?[/info] [warning]Warning! If You mention Netflix One more time... Error! AirVPN can no longer handle "ICANN"s nonsense Spoiler Alert! This is the most holy of the holy tags in existence. The mighty spoiler tag! Used to not spoil your viewers mood both during guides & when you post a 3 page logfile. [spoiler]This has been spoiled[/spoiler] Result: This has been spoiled. Omg spoilerception! The rightbox is useful for adding information which perhaps isn't critical or which is perhaps especially interesting, info-box style. [rightbox]This box is right. You're not. [/rightbox] Result: This box is right. You're not. The hr, horizontal-rule, is a special tag which isn't closed. It's good for breaking things up, as I've been doing. It's also especially boring. [hr] Result: Other Formatting & Posting Tips: Use lists like this one. Either bulleted or not. You click the button in the interface, under the "Font" and "Size" buttons. To the left of the smiley.Right above the place you "Attach Files", you can click on "View Auto Saved Content", in case you need to reload something you lost.In the top right corner, you can check a box that lets you Follow your own topic. But you can also make a poll.Under the smiley in the interface, you can click the <> sign. Then in the biggest box, you can write code, so that others can see it while its inactive, like in this guide. On the same line as the Smiley, in the inteface, there's a button next to "Font" on the left, called "Special BBcode", that you can refer to, for more codes. If a piece of text is a part of a link, you can unlink it and make it normal text again, by clicking the "unlink" button, to the left of the <> code button, in the interface. I'll give a medal or something to the first person who can make the Staff account "lol" publicly. Quantum computing is possible, so this must be too! Do you have any other ideas? If so, please feel free to post them :]. Questions are always welcome. Don't be afraid of asking! *^__^* Thank you!
  16. Richard Stallman doesn't have one either
  17. Hello ! It does not reduce your credibility in the least. If you wanted to achieve such a thing, you'd only need to come in here and tell us why PureVPN is the best VPN ever & how AirVPN really should be taking notes. Then your credibility might suffer, lol. Especially if you mean it. But a VPN is just a tool and Air knows that there's different use-cases. Some just want to get access to a couple of sites. Others are wanting to avoid nosy ISPs and still others simply care about their privacy and security, because they're human & because reasons. So there's no loss. If there was, I can't imagine the feelings of all those who use high level encryption: 4096 bit RSA keys size, AES-256-CBC Data Channel, HMAC SHA1 Control Channel and Perfect Forward Secrecy, along with a FOSS client, high performance servers and the option of using additional security in the form of the Tor Network and so much more.................... Just so that they can watch Netflix... So no, there's no loss. You're most welcome here; don't feel embarassed.
  18. Are you using Network Lock or any 3rd party firewalls, by any chance? You said you disabled your firewall, but was that Windows firewall or a different one? If it's a 3rd party one, you can try to add AirVPN.exe & Openvpn.exe to the firewall exceptions list or restore your firewall rules to their default settings. Because by the looks of it, you should be connected. So perhaps it's some old firewall rules which are messed up.
  19. Hello ! The status page lists it as one of the best, it would seem, for the us. Yet it has a load of zero on my screen.
  20. Hello ! I believe it's known that NL doesn't work with Tor. However, a new experimental version of Eddie has been released, so this will likely get addressed at some point. You should check out the Off-topic forum, wherein you can get some feedback on more ways to secure yourself; or the various links in my own guide. You could for instance, check out the new Subgraph OS.
  21. Hello ! Good effort! You've put out a guide pretty quickly and it's excellent you're willing to show others how it's done, regarding such important things as VMs, Tor & Tails :]. Keep it up.
  22. I'm glad it worked out for you. Don't hesitate to ask again if something else comes up; you're most welcome to do so. It's what the forums are for - besides showing off that smexy AirVPN logo hehe. You're also welcome to check out my guide, wherein you might find links to things that are interesting. It's fine you're not tech savvy. Then you're savvy at something else.
