  1. Hello! Please move here to continue with the topic (which is not off-topic ) https://airvpn.org/topic/16129-ip-leak-affecting-vpn-providers-with-port-forwarding Kind regards
  2. This gif is beautiful, we inserted it in the Black Friday announcement https://airvpn.org/topic/16128-black-friday/?do=findComment&comment=34527 thanks! Kind regards
  3. Was AirVPN one of the tested services? Is AirVPN affected to this issue? Hello! It's a correlation attack through some social engineering support. A solution is having separate entry and exit-IP addresses on each VPN server, just like in AirVPN. The astounding information in the article, if true, is that nine [five, fixed by pj] providers have not taken care of that. The attack in itself is very trivial and is quite common knowledge in consumers' VPN industry. Perhaps the five providers cited in the article are not "VPN industry", but amateurish services? Kind regards

  5. Hello, servers in Canada are in two different datacenters, therefore it's unlikely that the same problem affects all of them. Can you get higher performance from servers in a different country? For example, in this moment there are several users on various Canada servers using regularly 30-70 Mbit/s bandwidth. Kind regards
  6. Hello, please note that Sirius was withdrawn on April 2015. Kind regards
  7. Hello! It's very important to know that: 1) ipleak.net does NOT work in IPv6 2) our service does NOT support IPv6, that's why our client Network Lock blocks outgoing IPv6 packets (also, the client can disable IPv6 in some systems, and re-enable it at shut down) 3) DNS leaks via IPv6 are possible, but will be blocked by Network Lock and/or disabling IPv6. Kind regards
  8. Hello! One of the IP addresses you cite is the entry-IP address, the other one is the alternative entry-IP address. Sorry, we have edited your message to keep a weak/mild confidentiality on alternative IP addresses. Kind regards
  9. Hello! We confirm issues related to Windows 10 latest build (13-14 Nov 2015) and tun/tap driver installation. 10. Hello, at the moment DuckDuckGo does NOT block any of our servers. Kind regards
  11. Hello, not at all. In short, just enable Network Lock. Eddie already sets by default all interfaces DNS to 10.4.0.1. If you fear that in some hot-spot the network administrator knows the AirVPN DNS server private IP, knows that you're using AirVPN and knows how to hijack the DNS queries sent to 10.4.0,1 by the physical interface thanks to the idiotic DNS implementation in Windows, then just enable Network Lock. Kind regards
  12. Hello, we have insert pcpartpicker.com site in our anti-geo-blocking service. Can you try again and confirm that it works now ? Kind regards

  14. Hello, we have insert skybet.com site in our anti-geo-blocking service. Can you try again and confirm that it works now ? Kind regards
  15. Hello! HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) is a web security policy mechanism which helps to protect secure HTTPS websites against downgrade attacks and cookie hijacking. It allows web servers to declare that web browsers (or other complying user agents) should only interact with it using secure HTTPS connections,[1] and never via the insecure HTTP protocol. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_Strict_Transport_Security The implications of your report are deep. It means that your browsers correctly connected to airvpn.org in the past, but now are connecting to some web site that is not forcing HTTPS. Please check airvpn.org resolution in the system with this problem. Kind regards

Hello, that's correct, logging with a username containing spaces in an xmpp server is not possible. You can't change your username in our system (you can only change your Display Name, which does not affect your username) so you'll need to open a ticket asking "Support" dep. for this action Kind regards
  19. Hello! We're very glad to inform you that a new 1 Gbit/s server located in the Czech Republic is available: Alioth. The AirVPN client will show automatically the new server, while if you use the OpenVPN client you can generate all the files to access it through our configuration/certificates/key generator (menu "Client Area"->"Config generator"). Alioth accepts connections on ports 53, 80, 443, 2018 UDP and TCP. Just like every other Air server, Alioth supports OpenVPN over SSL and OpenVPN over SSH. As usual no traffic limits, no logs, no discrimination on protocols and hardened security against various attacks with separate entry and exit-IP addresses. Do not hesitate to contact us for any information or issue. Kind regards and datalove AirVPN Team
  20. Hello! The problem is here: Your system can't resolve localhost name. This is required by Air client Eddie to communicate with OpenVPN management. It may be required by several other applications too. localhost is generally not resolved with a DNS query but at hosts level. Make sure that in your hosts file the line: 127.0.0.1 localhost is the first line in the hosts names list. How to edit hosts file in Windows 7: http://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-7/windows-7-hosts-file Kind regards
  21. Hello, we have identified the problem. Can you try again with AirVPN servers and confirm that it works now ? Kind regards
  22. Hello! Oh, ok, in this case what we wrote earlier is totally irrelevant. Kind regards
  23. @Afronautz Please note that port 6970 is NOT forwarded to your client. Please see also here about port forwarding: https://airvpn.org/topic/9161-you-provide-remote-port-forwarding-what-is-it Kind regards
  24. Hello! We're sorry to inform you that according to the following message from UrDN http://www.urdn.com.ua/ all the servers in the Kiev datacenter, including AirVPN servers, have been illegally stolen by Ukrainian "security services" SBU and should be released only after payment of a bribe. We have no way to verify this message unfortunately, but in any case our servers, as you probably know, do not contain any log and/or any database and/or any sensitive information. Therefore, Procyon and Theemim will not come back anytime soon, as UrDN declares that they will not pay any bribe/ransom to get back the servers. If the message is truthful, we would like to express our complete solidarity with UrDN and condemn the acts of the Ukrainian "security services" SBU which would be identical to those of a criminal organization. Kind regards AirVPN Staff
