  1. That's better. Try go to your Control Panel>Network Connections>Change Adapter Settings>Click each adapter and go to its properties>Untick IPv6>Click ok.
  2. I recommend that you either purchase the 1 euro subscription, which will last you 3 days or apply for a 3 day trial, via support tickets, in the client area. Because we inherently don't know your setup, so it's a little tricky to say . AirVPN doesn't typically cater to "utter noobs" as you describe yourself, unless they're willing to put in the effort. There's a guide in my signature though, so you shouldn't have too much trouble either. However, I don't think super hubs are really equipped for running a VPN on them, so I wouldn't expect stellar performance if you install it ON the router - even if you did somehow manage to get it installed. But AirVPN does provide 5 connections per account still, so you can still connect 5 devices, which is enough for a lot of people. Phone, laptop and either desktop or tablet. Welcome to AirVPN!
  3. Seems you've got a few networking devices such as Bluetooth ones - I would try disabling some of them, as I think too many devices can confuse Eddie sometimes. Did you try using Network Lock? Anyhow, perhaps it's best if you just download the Experimental client and use that . You can also try using different protocols - sometimes this helps when checking route fails, as in your case.
  4. Welcome to AirVPN! We can't help you much, when you share such little information with us. The OP has already shown how to do it. Otherwise my new user guide in my signature will.
  5. Hello! It's always a bit hit and miss, so one has to try different servers out . The route checking tool is the only really easy "automated" way to get a sense of which servers may be okay.
  6. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! Try and go to the Eddie preferences and increase the send and receive buffers to 512kb . Do also check ipleak.net to make sure you're not leaking anything. It would be nice with some logs, so we can check that nothing is going wrong. Do also try different protocols, as UDP isn't always the best.
  7. Hello! You could run a VM. The host could stay connected to the VPN, while the guest could browse freely. Then you just restore the snapshot, upon exit
  8. By the way, just to be clear: Have you tried setting up Eddie on your main PC and then sharing the connection, so that the FireTV stick can connect to it? Questions regarding the FireTV Stick certainly aren't common .
  9. Hello! Firstly, this is a very old thread and it should be noted that people in it were running Eddie 2.8, which is ancient. The current Stable is 2.10. In the Eddie preferences, there's a tab related to OVPN directives. You may need to go into Advanced and enable Expert mode to see it. In the directives area, you can try to add block-outside-dnsOtherwise, look around the preferences area for "AirVPN DNS checking" and try to disable it. That should solve it. Take care
  10. Hello! If you install the browser plugin uBlock origin and go to its settings, there's also a "Block WebRTC" button. In addition to Network Lock of course . If you afterwards then go to the "3rd party filters" section, you can check a couple of boxes, in case you want to block various kinds of website tracking; in addition to potentially speeding up page loading! Since the thread is titled IPv4, I might as well add that Air Staff have said IPv6 support is planned for 2017 . Take care and happy new year
  11. Hello! Fortunately, you can submit feedback support tickets, so that it's in their systems. Perhaps they'll have an easier time tracking the issue - if they indeed think there is one. To deem the entire website not user-friendly seems a bit over the top. I'd say it's not perfect and in some places, a little rough around the edges. But if you submit good constructive feedback, Air will listen . I do this myself. Welcome to AirVPN! Happy New Year to you
  12. AirVPN doesn't have an app - it only has configuration files that you can insert into various OpenVPN apps . I don't think it's planned either. But yes of course you can get AirVPN to work on many platforms, including Android . There's threads in the How-To section about the various apps. Unless we get some logs of some kind, I think it'll just be speculation about why it didn't work.
  13. Hello! Please go to your Control Panel>Networking>Change Adapter settings>TAP driver properties>Advanced>Change "Media Status" to "Always connected">Click Apply and if necessary, then restart Eddie. If it was already set to always connected, then please try "application controlled" instead. In addition, in the same adapter area, you can go into the properties of each adapter and disable IPv6 too, as that can help. In addition to disabling other networking adapters which you aren't using. Lastly, it seems you're using the SSL protocol, so go into the Eddie preferences>Protocols and change to UDP 443 or TCP 443 and then reconnect to a server, to make it take effect. Do make sure, that if you're using any 3rd party security software, that AirVPN.exe, tap and openvpn.exe are added to any existing exclusion lists. If there's a problem, of course. Otherwise, the Beta Eddie client handles such security software better and thus you don't need to do those things most likely. But start with the TAP thing . Disabling and then re-enabling the TAP driver is also a quick fix, if changing the Media Status doesn't work. But it's not permanent. Happy New Year
  14. No worries my friend. Welcome to AirVPN and have a happy new year
  15. Hello! I think Air should definitely go ahead and add in Nigeria, why not? Nigeria is fairly centrally located, meaning lots of under-served African users can get access. Nigeria isn't (even) on PIAs list of server locations it seems, which is frankly incredible in and of itself if you know PIA . Nigeria is, as of 2015, the worlds 20th largest economy, so there's plenty of room for expansion! Nigeria would be AirVPNs first African server no?, so why not! Nigeria because... Nigeria? The shock factor alone would be something to watch. Jokes aside haha... Cheap answer: I think Air should add the server locations that Air deems to be best for their mission and current budget and options. But otherwise I agree Iceland would be a nice to have - but I definitely don't expect it, as it seems totally unrealistic. Perhaps we should see about getting the French servers back first, if possible . More Asian servers would be really cool as well, but again, reality hits back hard. It would seem Air already has lots of things planned. Of those that I know of: IPv6 support, Eddie 3, updating client software section, re-assessing France as a server location, EFF & FSF funding, getting back to some of the other projects after Eddie is updated and probably lots more. Australia would be cool, since Australians are always underserved in networking-related matters haha. But personally, I don't mind if no new servers are added. I'm content. We shouldn't forget that Air, despite being Italian, also actually still doesn't have any Italian servers either! So perhaps they'll be adding that again, if they can get around the legal hurdles . Happy New Year to you all ! I hope everyone, including AirVPN & Staff will have a good 2017 .
  16. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! You can either submit a support ticket like the OP did or perhaps share your Eddie logs if possible. It would be useful with some information about what OS you're on for one thing. Have you tried changing your password on the website to something shorter and without special characters and trying again?
  17. Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! I don't think the FireTV Stick is supported honestly - as very very few people use it I think. You can try to share the Eddie logs with us though. I'm not sure if you need to forward ports or something or whether installing stuff like Kodi makes it easier or not, haha. Note that it currently costs less than 1 euro to get 3 more days haha.
  18. Hello! Just turn off IPv6. Support for it is planned for 2017 . Staff has said there's no DNS leaks on Linux. If you use Network Lock, then that's definitely ensured. Do check ipleak.net as well. Welcome to AirVPN and happy new year !
  19. Hello! Do you have an installer program such as gdebi available? If not, do download it. Although it should've come with your distro. Have you tried launching AirVPN from the terminal, so that you'll perhaps see any error messages? When you tried to install the .deb experimental, did you get any notifications? That last line is also interesting. Are you running as root? I can't remember if Eddie has problems with the network manager; I seem to remember something regarding that.
  20. Hello! Which router do you have? If it's a Virgin Media setup you may benefit from this guide. Alternatively, you could try different protocols in the client: switch to TCP for example and then reconnect to a server. Try Netherlands servers too. Otherwise you may benefit from trying the Beta client . When torrenting, you need to remote port-forward on this site.
  21. I suppose I might as well also post it here. Regarding Virgin Media. A bad or wrongly configured router or ISP can make a world of difference .

    EFF & FSF Support?

Well said, I agree! Welcome to AirVPN by the way
