1 pointHaving used AirVPN for a couple of years, I'm generally satisfied with the overall service, but I find it kinda annoying that I cannot access certain content on sites like DR (https://www.dr.dk/tv), DPlay, Viafree, etc. while connected to one of AirVPN's servers, or just out of the country. Which is why I would like to request a Danish routing server. Have a nice weekend! Some old, but similar requests:

OpenVPN 3 development
Phidelldelia reacted to Staff for a post in a topic
Thank you! Of course. The idea has been floating around since several years ago https://community.openvpn.net/openvpn/wiki/RoadMap The OpenVPN 3 Core Library is based on a different approach, implementing the OpenVPN protocol as a C++ library. This gives lots of the same possibilities and modularity as this draft tried to resolve. Further, OpenVPN 3 is multi-thread capable and integrates with ASIO for all asynchronous processing and socket handling. -

Transparency reports on AirVPN mission

Hello! We always keep into consideration any proposal. The linked forum has this purpose too, on top, of course, of private communications. Some projects or NGOs that were proposed in the forum and that we supported include RiseUp, OpenNIC, Electronic Frontier Foundation. https://airvpn.org/forums/topic/10122-guidelines/ Kind regards -

Hello! This is absolutely fantastic Staff/Paolo. Thank you for taking the time to write that up, with the usual clarity of mind. This is what makes it worth staying here. I saw that post a long time ago too and I know it has been circulated widely in some places, so it's absolutely stellar that you decided to reply with your usual savagery. Well done! I was surprised you didn't mention that you recently made it possible to accept Bitcoin directly, as well. -

Eddie 2.14beta released

I don't see the issue. The preferences window is resizable. It's correct, the new second set of port/protocol is specific to tls-crypt. This is a known bug. This occurs because you have IPv6 disabled at OS or network-adapter level. Please re-enable, or wait for the next release that manages this situation better. -

Using AirVPN with OpenVPN for Android
Litteringand reacted to Tech Jedi Alex for a post in a topic
Is the above still correct? "Android" is an option in the Config Generator. Is there some reason for choosing "Linux" instead of "Android?"They generate identical configs. I think there isn't any. Sent via Tapatalk. Means, I don't have a computer available now. -

AirVPN 9th birthday celebrations and reflections
Encaps reacted to Guest for a post in a topic
Nice discount but it has to be observed it has been cheaper (35 euros for 1 year) during black Friday. -
0 pointsHello! I note the change: So everything below the 1 year plans, do not get the discount anymore. It's still weird to me, that the birthday celebrations still aren't the ones with the biggest and widest discounts. Seems more worthy to me . Happy birthday.

I'm really happy to see a server in south america, I would love to see one in central america!!! -
0 pointsDozens of reports throughout 2014 and 2015 show that in Virgin network DNS poisoning is (probably intermittently) used against https://airvpn.org Solution: use a publicly accessible, not poisoned DNS, for example OpenNIC https://opennicproject.org or contact us to know alternative domain names to access various https front ends in our infrastructure.

Virgin Media also throttle OpenVPN, and have done for years. Connecting via Eddie (or Viscosity, or NetworkManager) over UDP:443 gives a hard 1MB/sec cap. Switching to SSL:443 or SSH:22 gives full throughput speeds even to the same Air server. -

Eddie 2.14beta released
Guest reacted to stookie for a post in a topic
If I might ask one last question about this quit/freezing problem that I'm now having with all versions of Eddie, whether 2.14 or earlier versions: Last night I removed all trace of Eddie from my system using AppCleaner, and then re-downloaded and re-installed Eddie 2.13 in the hope that it would quit as normal, but as is the case with all versions of Eddie that I use now, it froze completely and required a complete shutdown of my Mac. It was my belief that by re-installing it in this way the preferences would have reverted to the default setting, as if it was being installed for the first time, and given me a clean start; however, when I checked I noticed that my customised preference settings from the previous installation were still in place. So, I'm wondering if this indicates that there are still some traces of Eddie 2.14 hidden on my system somewhere that AppCleaner can't detect. Is anyone aware of a Terminal command that will reveal them to me so that I can finally remove them and then go back to a clean start with Eddie 2.13? Needless to say, I'll be asking support for their help, too. Thanks -

New 1 Gbit/s server available (AU)

The matter was related to the datacenter in the first inquiry, this is a shift of argument, ok. Can you please cite any piece of the law that would enforce any type of logging to a foreign company NOT providing telecommunication direct connectivity services and/or content delivery services, that can't access the servers, lines and machinery and that can't guarantee any data integrity and reliability due to unmonitored (by the foreign company) access to machinery, lines and external routers? If you can find this piece, then we will need a new legal advisor for Australia, so please feel free to answer as soon as possible. Kind regards -
