  1. Lucky for you the desktop application is quuuuuuuuuuuite excellent I would say . Although if you've never seen or tried other clients, you might not feel the same way. I don't believe Air has any stake in tunnelblick, so for that reason, it can't necessarily control how it acts under various conditions.
  2. So if it's: - Not your firewall - Not your client - Not your antivirus - Not your TAP driver - Not your .Net software Could it be your router or ISP. Have you tried enabling Network Lock though? While your Windows Firewall is on as well. Sometimes it can make a difference, depending on if it's on or not. Also, you can browse when you're not using the VPN, right? Maybe you could also try going to Preferences>Protocols and trying out different protocols, such as an SSL tunnel or alternative entry IPs. Might as well, you don't have anything to lose at this point lol.
  3. Well I personally prefer the AirVPN client. Feel free to try it; it's probably one of the best VPN clients around. Did you select individual countries? It's recommended you just select a region, in the config generator. It picks servers based on various metrics; not just ping, if we're talking about the AirVPN client "Recommended Server" feature at least.
  4. Hello ! Welcome to AirVPN! It should be much faster than that. Please try go to your client and in the top left corner: Preferences>Advanced>Change both send and receive buffers to 256Kb. It should also be said that the most geographically close servers aren't automatically the best . If you use any 3rd party firewalls, I recommend checking to see if they're interfering. You could for instance consider adding the AirVPN and OpenVPN processes to the exceptions list. You can also check the "Status" tab and see if any servers that you're using, are having issues and/or see which ones might be best for you. In your client, you can also sort servers based on Latency. or speed.
  5. I wonder if Preferences>General>Disable Tunnel check & General>DNS>Disable checking for AirVPN DNS would make a difference for you. You can also try tracert by the way, instead of ping.
  6. Indeed. It's quite epic how negligent he has been on the security front. Do you think he'll get extradited from Poland? I don't know if Poland tends to do so, but I'm inclined to think he'll get extradited.
  7. Hello ! Welcome to AirVPN. Nothing is supposed to show when it comes to WebRTC. Either scroll to the bottom of ipleak and read how to fix it for Firefox & Chrome or check out my guide . WebRTC leaks your real IP; which isn't something you want. You should ONLY see AirVPN addresses in both the DNS and IP fields . If you use Network Lock it should stop any leak however. Swag name by the way lol.
  8. I'd say ProtonMail is excellent. It's very nice that they make it so easy to get access to more secure email.
  9. I also have this problem since Tor Browser 6.0x was installed, and requested a support ticket some time ago. Yesterday I tried to install Eddie 2.11beta, but the same problem exists. Could the staff please report it to the developer of Eddie? The developer of Eddie is Clodo - he's here. He likely knows about it.
  10. Hello ! I guess their asses got kicked then. So according to this list that means it's Extratorrent next? Haha. Or is this super well-timed for kim dotcoms comeback with TPB. It's really sad that this copyright malaise is spreading. @zhang888 Good to see you again!
  11. I do agree - I just doubt it's that easy in practice . The solution thing is nice, since it displays the solution at the top of the thread, immediately. So at the very least, I think it's a part of the solution. I just don't have much hope for it(the announcement thing), when sticky threads routinely get ignored, by the looks of it. I don't mind trying of course! . It would be helpful if people besides the OP could sometimes also select the mark solution.
  12. Oh you didn't get the memo? Staff is omnipresent, didn't you know? They see and hear everything. A lot of the time they just observe. Waiting to strike, when no one is watching. But they're there. They love their silence though . We thank them all the time! Why do you think you can't PM the Staff account? Because if we could, they'd get DDoS'd by the sheer number of love letters from all their fans <3 It was a nice gesture OP; I'm sure Staff appreciates it!
  13. Hello ! I see that despite posting the identical post in that other thread and therefore praising the Staff twice, you apparently still don't trust them enough to notice your post, unless you make a thread eh, haha. Must be heartbreaking for Staff . I suspect they'd say they "don't need no prominence" if topic-starters would simply do a better job of marking the solution which works; which in many cases, appeared even on page 1 of their threads. TL;DR: A "Keep Calm & check Yo tunnels" banner on the right would likely be more or less equally effective lol. No amount of prominence will matter during a panic attack.
  14. I agree, although the problem is that one could argue such attempts wouldn't get seen either. Unless Air finds a way to color entire thread slots read lol. Because multiple threads were started and with multiple people saying what you just said. But there is such a feature though: it's the option to choose the correct solution for a given problem. But this requires the OP of the thread to pay attention. Personally, I think Air should make it like on the www.tomshardware forums, where *other posters*, except the OP, get to select the solution. Then it would appear much faster. The OP could then merely have the option of de-selecting the solution that others picked, in case it didn't work for them (if it's a different problem we're talking about, which only affects the OP.)
  15. Try cancel and restart your Eddie client entirely. See if that works. Otherwise try either switching to different servers entirely OR the temporary solution of going to Preferences>General>Disable Tunnel check and then doing to DNS and uncheck the "check if tunnel uses AirVPN DNS". Then hit Save. That should do it. #datalove
  16. it's about some security software freaking out when all those UDP connections are made by torrenting. at least that's what I remember from some previous problems that, if I recall correctly, were the same as this sounds. Sounds reasonable. But you know, you can't tell a firewall a UDP joke, because they just don't get it.
  17. As go558a83nk said, maybe you should check your antivirus/firewall exceptions lists; especially your firewall, if you're torrenting.
  18. Hello ! I admire you for still managing to sound as jaded as an admin with 30 years of experience, despite apparently not giving much attention to networking "IT shitlord" was hilarious too.
  19. What caused the deployment failure though? Anything interesting there? I mean the other day we had that freaky issue with the Netherlands servers becoming the most recommended connection point for a whole lot of clients and now this. I assume it's not related, but it's always interesting with a deeper explanation, if any is available. Thank you for your time :].
  20. Could it be you should try some different servers then perhaps? Feel free to post your logs as well; you could have other issues we're not aware of.
  21. That's because we don't externalize the support service. Do you prefer a copied & pasted, pre-packaged answer after a few minutes, with a plus of a meaningless chat with some remote call center which handles hundreds of different services from dishes to computers, or a competent answer, written by the service personnel, which needs the time that it really needs? If you prefer the first type of aforementioned support then Air is not the service for you. That said, today is a special day because a certificate deployment failure on several VPN servers caused major problems (now solved) for hours, with a subsequent and dramatic surge of support requests. Anyway, all the support requests will be satisfied within a few hours, as it always happens. Only a few hours delay due to the tickets congestion. Kind regards I was able to connect to a USA server during the problem time with my pfsense box. Was the problem only effecting the Eddie client? That could well be, since Eddie is just an OpenVPN wrapper right? And perhaps when you don't run Eddie, you don't have the same options such as unchecking various kinds of route checks; which was what the solution to the problem was: uncheck DNS and tunnel checking. But I'm not sure.
  22. Now now Mr G, it's fine :]. It all got merged into one lovely thread. We sadly can't expect potentially non-technically savvy people to do things in the way we'd prefer it, every time . I'd say it's better they did this than simply immediately ditching the service altogether. Perhaps these same people will be better informed the next time something similar happens and you've hearby contributed to the overall well-being of countless VPNs
  23. Well of course it's complimentary. Who wouldn't want the real-life version of Gandalf, who not only knows how to banish demons, but is a hacker too? Hahaha Gandalf would definitely be a FOSS dev lol.
  24. Hello ! Welcome to AirVPN! Maybe you should check this.
