  1. Hello! Draconis is up again. Kind regards
  2. Hello! Draconis is currently undergoing a switch upgrade. Currently we have not been provided with an estimated time. We will keep you informed. Kind regards
  3. Hello! A few hours ago Draconis (Sweden) stopped responding. It responds only to pings. SSH and any other access are down. We are investigating the issue. We warned the datacenter support just a few minutes after the "sudden down". We are still waiting for a reply from the datacenter technicians. We will keep you informed. Kind regards
  4. Hello! That's correct: with AirVPN over proxy, you will be visible on the Internet with the exit-IP address of the server you're connected to. For your purpose, just do not connect Air over proxy, use the proxy with a properly configured application after you have connected to Air with proxy "None". Kind regards
  5. @xdroid The logs look ok. Please check whether you have forced external DNS on your Windows network setup. Make sure that Windows accept DHCP-pushed DNS for the TAP-Win32 adapter (Windows does not have the concept of global DNS, it can use a DNS for each network card). If necessary, try to force Air DNS as primary DNS. We're looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards
  6. Hello! Just use the directive log-append or log to generate a log wherever you wish when you launch OpenVPN (or put that directive in the configuration file). For example: log-append /var/log/openvpnair.log Add that line in the configuration file. Anyway, we would like to see the logs under Windows 7, because you wrote that you have no problems in your Linux box, but you do have DNS issues under Windows 7. Kind regards
  7. Hello! Can you please send us the logs of the failed connections (not the successful ones from Linux)? Also, can you please check whether you can ping our DNS IP address (see here https://airvpn.org/specs) or not from Windows 7 while connected? We're looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards
  8. Hello! Please read here and remember to proceed with caution: https://airvpn.org/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=3&id=1914&Itemid=142 Kind regards
  9. Hello! Thanks for keeping us informed. The settings look just fine, probably you don't need any further fine-tuning. Kind regards
  10. Hello! So far so good. Of course the service behind the VPN server must be running and listening to the correct port in order to respond. Can you please try another torrent client (e.g. Transmission)? Can you please clarify "KTorrent is still not happy"? Kind regards
  11. Hello! Please note that 95.211.98.154 is not the entry-IP address of Tauri. The above error is usually caused by a firewall blocking openvpn.exe. Can you please check? Also, please generate the configuration for Tauri, and make sure to paste all the 4 files into the OpenVPN configuration directory (only needed when you use OpenVPN). In a standard Windows installations it is: C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenVPN\config (for 64 bit systems) or C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\config (for 32 bit systems). We're looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards
  12. Hello! Thank you for your purchase. Your account expiration date was correct but there was a problem in the display of the data on your panel. We have fixed it, let us know whether it's all right now. One month is a solar month plus one tolerance day to avoid sudden disconnections. Please note that the tolerance day is not displayed in the expiration days count. Kind regards
  13. Hello! We are also suggesting that even though there's no IP leak, CBS has some further control which is not based on IP geolocation. Keep in mind that we are just speculating because we confirm that we are totally unable to reproduce the behavior, but considering that the two customers who are facing this problem can access Hulu and Netflix, we strongly suspect that it's caused by something not related to IP geolocation. @mogli At this step, if you can't manage to solve the problem it would be interesting to test your configuration, at your convenience please feel free to contact us with the "Contact us" form in the "Support" menu if you prefer not to discuss it in a public forum. Kind regards
  14. Hello! When Bitcoincodes.com has the BTC transfer confirmation (with Bitcoin, this usually takes 30 minutes-3 hours) it will send you a code and the detailed instructions to use it. The code allows immediate activation of any account on our website, therefore providing an additional layer of anonymity (no correlation between the transaction on Bitcoincodes and an account using Air services). The procedure is automated and the customer does not need to contact us. We underline that: - bitcoincodes is a completely independent and separate entity from AirVPN - bitcoincodes is the only reseller of Air codes authorized by us - we guarantee the transactions on bitcoincodes, so you can order codes with peace of mind - the Bitcoin client can be very easily tunneled over TOR to ensure yet another extremely strong layer of anonymity Kind regards
  15. Hello! CBS is perfectly accessible both from Vega and Sirius. Perhaps you have a leak from some program that disclose that you are not in the USA to the CBS tests. The usual suspects are the browser and its plugins. If you use Windows, avoid Internet Explorer at all costs. Kind regards I'm a bit confused by this explanation. I thought, unlike proxies, VPNs do not "leak" IP addresses due to plugins or browsers? If the whole Internet is encrypted, why should it matter if one uses Internet Explorer or Firefox or Chrome? So you are suggesting that when using Flash a VPN can leak an IP? How can this be? Could a VPN leak a VoIP connection and P2P file sharing? Perhaps you can explain to use how a VPN can leak and why? Hello! Since we can't reproduce the behavior with CBS, we suggested that maybe CBS performs further checks based not only on the IP address, but also in the "Accept Language" field of the HTTP request. However, even setting "Accept Language" different from "en-us" did not allow us to reproduce the behavior and CBS worked flawlessly. For information and guides about how to prevent IP leaks in case of accidental VPN disconnections: https://airvpn.org/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=3&id=1713&Itemid=142 A possible leak even when connected is theoretically possible if you let malware run with root/administrator privileges. The malware may read all the details of the network interfaces when you are connected and when you are disconnected and then send such information and any additional information to some server around the world, allowing an opponent to correlate your connections and disclose your real IP. Please keep in mind that a VPN service must never be considered and antivirus or antimalware tool, we secure your connection up to our servers, not your computer, as you probably already know from our ToS. Kind regards
  16. Hello! The above are strong hints that your ISP is capping bandwidth on certain ports. If you live in the EU, please note that Directive 2002/22/EC as amended by 2009/136/EC (one of the major directives of the "Telecoms Package"), article 20, states (bold is ours): "1. services providing connection to a public communications network and/or publicly available electronic communications services, consumers, and other end-users so requesting, have a right to a contract with an undertaking or undertakings providing such connection and/or services. The contract shall specify in a clear, comprehensive and easily accessible form at least: [...] information on any other conditions limiting access to and/or use of services and applications, where such conditions are permitted under national law in accordance with Community law, [...] information on any procedures put in place by the undertaking to measure and shape traffic so as to avoid filling or overfilling a network link, and infor- mation on how those procedures could impact on service quality," However, not all Member States have already transposed in their legislation such obligations, so you should check in your country. Deadline for transposition was May 2011, so if your country did not transpose the directive or it transposed it wrongly, it is subject to an Infraction Procedure by the Commission. Any citizen can contact the Commission, warning about a possible breach by his/her Member State, in order to eventually initiate an infraction procedure. If the Directive was already implemented in your country and your ISP refuses to inform you FULLY about traffic shaping, then anybody can sue them (consumers associations may be very helpful in this case). Kind regards
  17. Hello! In that field you have to specify the proxy IP address, not the VPN server entry-IP address. Then you need to know whether it's an http or a SOCKS proxy (select the appropriate option). Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further support. Kind regards
  18. Hello! It's difficult to explain. We don't detect bottlenecks in the data centers where our servers are located (either with Leaseweb or with different providers). A possible explanation might be that your provider caps bandwidth on certain ports during peak hours. We see more and more ISPs capping various or all UDP ports. Just in case you have not already tried, please test a connection on port 80 TCP. We're looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards
  19. Hello! Just some ideas worth to check: can you please make sure that the service that listens to the remotely forwarded port is running and binds to the correct interface IP address while you perform the test? Kind regards
  20. Hello! We will consider again a server in Italy in the near future. In the past we have faced a lot of difficulties in Italy, basically due to a catastrophic state of the infrastructure which causes providers to be unable to provide dedicated (or at least fairly shared) 1 Gbit/s lines (or at least dedicated 100 Mbit/s ports/lines) with unmetered (or at least 50-100 TB) traffic, which currently are our requirements. Kind regards
  21. Hello! Please see here for a list of compatible DD-WRT devices: https://airvpn.org/faq Please note that you need DD-WRT with OpenVPN. Unfortunately you can't. Air is based on OpenVPN which is free and open source. Apple forbids free and open source applications on iPhone and iPad. You can use an account on as many devices as you wish, but only one can connect at the same time. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further information. Kind regards
  22. Hello! OpenVPN GUI is an open source, graphical front-end application for OpenVPN on Windows. It gives you an icon in the system tray from which you can control OpenVPN. Do not try to control OpenVPN simultaneously with the Air client and the OpenVPN GUI, do it either with the first or the latter only. See also our configuration generator (menu "Member Area"->"Access without our client"). Kind regards
  23. Hello! Both the Air client and the Air configuration generator let you choose the server and the port you wish to use for the connection. With the client, select a server, then click on the "Modes" tab and click on port "80 TCP". With the configuration generator, pick a server, pick "port 80" and "protocol TCP". Kind regards
  24. Hello! Did you change anything on your firewall setup since when it worked flawlessly? Further attempts which are worth to try: - check Windows firewall and disable it completely if you have not already done so (you don't need it since you have Comodo); - connect to different servers on some TCP port (try port 80 TCP for example) Kind regards
