Hello, an OpenVPN wrapper is a software that sends commands etc. to OpenVPN, often through a graphical user interface for comfort purposes. Examples: the Air client for Windows, OpenVPN GUI, Tunnelblick... All the wrappers have a handy "Disconnect" button or option that you can use to safely disconnect your system from the VPN server. If you use OpenVPN directly, you can simply send a soft kill command to the process, or just interrupt it (CTRL-C). If you run OpenVPN as a service, you can stop the service. Kind regards

Hello, please disconnect (or stop) OpenVPN or the OpenVPN wrapper you run. The web site button "Disconnect Now" is meant for emergency, forced disconnections. If you use it in this way, your client can try a re-connection after it is forcefully disconnected by the server. Kind regards

We received this communication from FDCServers: Of course we will not comply to requests that have the arrogance to tell us how to conduct our business and would force traffic monitoring and logging that is not required by any law and that is potentially illegal. Hello! It looks like a communication problem in any point between you and the VPN server. The fact that you need to reset or power cycle your router, and that after that everything goes back to normal, suggests that it's either a router crash or some "defense system" of your ISP or your router which wrongly identifies the OpenVPN UDP traffic as an UDP flood attack (when you connect to a VPN server over UDP, all of your outgoing and incoming traffic is over UDP). The old internal speed test (Speed Test Mini) has several issues: it is a closed source 3rd party application, it requires Flash and its reliability when used with high bandwidth line is extremely poor. A new speed test has been implemented in order to overcome the aforementioned limitations. It has been entirely developed by us, it provides customizations to make tests more reliable, it does not require Flash and importantly it performs tests outside and inside the tunnel. The idea behind this last feature is to measure the performance difference inside the tunnel, in order to have hints on bottlenecks (if any) which may be caused by your ISP (through traffic shaping, for example) or by various factors, such as packet inspection tools, Internet "security suites" and CPU power. Be aware that it's still in an experimental stage, so your feedback will be very welcome. Hello, sorry, there is a delay due to unforeseen problems. The micro-routing Ubertechie has detected a bug in the micro-routing system and has been fixing it. Additionally, we have an annoying delay (for unknown reasons at the moment) on the delivery of another server in France which would have helped us in the testings AND that in our plans will be employed in the near future as a full VPN server (if it will pass all the tests). Hello! The Air client (airvpn.exe) is portable, it does not need installation. Just paste it in a comfortable place, for example the Desktop. If you can't find it anymore, try to search for airvpn.exe on your whole HDD, or just re-download the archive, decompress it, copy & paste the client where you wish. Kind regards

Hello, we have just checked Leporis AND your account, everything is fine. Packets are forwarded to your VPN IP. Then, of course, you receive them encapsulated and encrypted from the VPN server Entry-IP address to your public IP address. When they are on the tun interface, they are already decrypted by OpenVPN and have the "real" header and payload. At this moment, we have tested that TCP packets are sent correctly to your system, and are actively rejected (we see Connection refused (111), not Connection timed out (110)), so perhaps it might be a firewall problem. Also, what is the service listening to your remotely forwarded ports? Kind regards

Hello, under a pure performance point of view, our DNS records are updated in almost-real-time to reflect the best server for each area. The best server is determined according to a formula which keeps into considerations the following parameters: latency from nodes in the same region, available bandwidth, status parameters (such as packet loss). Once the system has performed measurements and calculations, it determines the best server and updates DNS accordingy. The AirVPN client will show automatically the new server, while if you use the OpenVPN client you can generate all the files to access it through our configuration/certificates/key generator (menu "Client Area"->"Config generator").
