  1. Hello, Yesterday I found out that I cannot login into my PayPal account. I'm getting this message: "Sorry, we can't log you in. If you believe there is an issue with your account, contact us." I never got any emails from PayPal saying some bad news about my account being blocked or something like that... I tried different Airvpn servers - still same problem. Last time I used PayPay was about a month ago and everything was ok. I wonder if it is VPN related? Does anyone else having this problem? Thank you.
  2. Hello, for reasons that i cannot identify my Network Lock is not working. When i disengage the VPN or the connection drops all of my applications are able to get through unfettered. I have attached my log to see if it can provide any help to you. I will also be submitting a support ticket. My Network and Sharing settings are the standard automatic for my wireless adapter and my Firewall was reset once when i could not connect without the VPN, so i am curious as to how i can fix this. 3. Hi! I have been using AirVPN for about 3 months now. It has worked fine, until, yesterday, I got a new router. AirVPN is now no longer able to connect with the Eddie Client for PC, but is able to connect with the OpenVPN app on my iPhone and iPad. When it says "Checking route" in the client, this is when it fails and says "Operation Failed". I have managed to identify the problem, but I have not found out how to fix it. EDIT: I have fixed the problem! I did some Google searching and I found a solution. I opened an administrator command prompt, ran netsh winsock reset catalog netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log netsh int ipv6 reset reset.login that order. I then rebooted my computer. I am now able to connect to AirVPN servers without any problems. If anyone else is having this problem, run the commands above, hopefully it fixes it for you too. That seems to be the issue. How do I fix it so that the client uses my new default gateway IP, instead of the old one? (I am on Windows 10 by the way)
  4. Hello, as many of you know some users of AirVPN that actually value geolocation accuracy on web based services such as google such as my self have noted MANY times that services such as Google do not detect the proper country of the VPN servers we use. I would like to request that a chart of each and every server be made that lists the accuracy of geolocation on both Google.com and Ipleak.net. I consistently find myself searching server after server for one that is both fast and accurate. I would like it noted that most AirVPN users could care less about this and support even less so; all i ask is that it be made easier for the minority to access accurate servers without trial and error.
  5. Hello, it seems there might be a DNS issue on the new Atria server. Can someone verify this?
  6. Am trying to watch some content which I know is available on Netflix UK. Obviously, I am not located in the UK, thus I am using AirVPN to connect to a client in the UK. However, after connecting the VPN, and logging into Netflix, the content is not showing in Netflix list of search. I've tried this with both the AirVPN Client, as the OpenVPN Client with UK config file. Weird enough, when connecting to AirVPN on my Android phone, and opening the Netflix app, the content does show in the list, but still won't play. The other thing I occasionally notice when connecting to AirVPN UK Server, is that Google shows me Google Belgium? Anything I can do to fool Netflix with regards to the country I am in?
  7. Hello, can someone help me to set up AirVPN on a QNAP-NAS with firmware 4.2.1 please. Or just point me to a post which explains that. Thanks you so much! Jörg

  9. Hello, i am not aware if anyone else experiences this issue, but when i lock my phone when i am not using it, and wake it up again some minutes later, even with full network access my client fails to re connect to the tunnel. Below i have attached my log file and the view i get from the app after unlocking my device. Any help the user base could provide would be much appreciated. I also have a support ticket regarding the matter but they seem to be clueless as to the cause. OpenVPN Log File.txt

  14. Hey guys, I've been searching this for a couple of hours now and I've also checked the forum quite thoroughly for the answer to my problem but it sems no one else has this problem. Just in case, apologies if the question's being repeated. So I've been using TorGuard in conjunction with TorBrowser for some time now but I want to be able to access restricted sites with my TorBrowser and after some research, I found that so far, 2 of the best VPNs that can work together with TorBrowser to still use Tor but use the VPN service as the exit node are AirVPN and BolehVPN. I chose AirVPN and it seemed simple to do on the page https://airvpn.org/tor/ Heres the problem. When I start up AirVPN first then the TorBrowser and navigate to ipleak.net, it shows the TorBrowser IP address as the end node and the Tor Exit Node is green and the AirVPN Exit Node is red. AirVPNs method seems so simple and straight-forward which is why it confuses me how this isnt working. For it to work, I should be seeing the Public Exit IP from AirVPN on ipleak.net as my IP address and the AirVPN Exit Node should be green. Thanks for any help.
  15. Hello, I was wondering if it were possible to have a proxied VPN connection with AirVPN. (I'm not talking about running something like TOR through a VPN) I know of another VPN (which I won't name) that offers one and I found it very useful, that way I can set which applications will and will not use the VPN. It's also another way to prevent torrent applications from running if there is no VPN access; you can bind to MAC address and set up to run through a socks5 proxy. There is a specific reason why I need it, MS Office 365 doesn't seem to be able to connect through a VPN connection but runs fine with it off.
  16. ( wasnt able to post in How to section ) You need to disable all SSL Scanning ( even if you DONT use a SSL tunnel via air vpn ) else you get alot of Disconects ( atleast i did ) First Set all Open VPN and AIR VPN Processes like this up Now Allow the following Processes OpenVPN Daeomon openvpn.exe AirVPN - Windows UI Now the next step is to Disable SSL Scanning dont worry you wont harm your security as Kaspersky told me there are Multple layer that will still cover you ! Then Click here All done ! mine now works 1 hour straight ( before these settings it was disconecting every 4 min approx ) Works even with other clients and or vpn . Sorry for my english. Have fun !
  17. Hello everyone. I had a question for the forums today. Is it possible to run Eddie (or any other way to connect to AirVPN) on Tails OS? For those who do not know, Tails is a Linux based OS that is very secure and routes all connections through Tor. However, if I am not mistaken, since there is no VPN in that setup, the operator of the Tor relay node can see your actual IP, yes? So, is it possible to use AirVPN on Tails? I tried earlier but it gave me some sort of error when I tried to run the Eddie client's file. Also, will using a VPN on Tails make me more secure? If so, what are the benefits of doing so?
  18. Asus RT-N16: DD-WRTBroadcom BCM4716 chip rev 1Clock = 500 MHz (slightly up from factory 480) My bottleneck is at the router while utilizing the DD-WRT OpenVPN Client function. I get a 40% decrease in bandwidth as apposed to using VPN straight from the computer. This is due to limintations of the onboard processor. I use the router because I have just the one VPN account so I have all the computers in the network going through it. I tested the bandwidth with just a single computer connected to assure that it wasn't a network sharing issue. Now I believe my options are: Overclock the hell out of the router. Running some kind of local OpenVPN Server. Purchase a better router. Purchase additional separate monthly VPN accounts I would like to go with 2 because its the cheapest and less risky. Also because I am already running a local tower as SFTP file server and Ubuntu+Debian package archive mirror. Now my knowledge of OpenVPN is limited as is my knowledge of DD-wrt routing functions. Ideally I would like to prevent any and all PlainText traffic. So I think my setup would look roughly like this. Current Configuration: [Computers & Devices] --P--> [Router] --E--> [iSP] --E--> [VPN Provider] --P--> [internet] Proposed Configuration: [Computers & Devices] --P--> [Router] --P--> [Local OpenVPN Server] --E--> [Router] --E--> [iSP] --E--> [VPN Provider] --P--> [internet] P = PlainText E = Encrypted VPN Tunnel
  19. Hi everbody, I wanna use VPN over TOR but there is no Internet traffic after successfully VPN connection. Besides VPN connection disconnects almost after 1 minute because of TCP connection timeout. I've configured proxies from Advanced section of NetworkManager and I'm using SOCKS protocol as proxy type. I'm using Linux OS and NetworkManager to manage my network interfaces and VPN connections. My OpenVPN version is 2.3.0. I've already read this manuel but I couldn't find any solution. Is there any suggestion to overcome this problem? https://airvpn.org/tor/ Solution: - Use Eddie client, - Enable control port and cookie authentication in your torrc file as described at this URL https://airvpn.org/tor/ - Set Tor as connection mode in AirVPN -> Preferences, don't use TCP + Socks Proxy as me (my first mistake) - Be careful with the port numbers; because default port numbers in manuel and Eddie client are respectively 9150 and 9151 but in my torrc file they are 9050, 9051 and it's very easy to overlook for example my situation. (my second mistake) - You can export ovpn configuration file which is special for "VPN over TOR" from Eddie client, so you can use that file to connect VPN from command line using openvpn command. For me it's more easy than using Eddie client.
  20. I believe that passing as few hops as possible on the Internet is a good thing in terms of privacy, security and stability. So I was thinking about developing a setup where I would route traffic to IPs in to country X to the VPN exit node in country X, and traffic to country Y to a VPN exit node in country Y, and so on... This could easily be setup in a router like pfSense etc. I would love to hear your reflections/comments on the security and privacy in such a setup. BR
  21. Hello, does anyone know how to create a portable Windows 10 install to act as a live CD on otherwise non admin computers so that i may use the VPN? I have already tried WintoUSB and the program fails with the error "failed to start system API". Does anyone know of another way or different software i can use?
  22. Using AirVPN with Tor ALL the time... I am a new AirVPN client and at first I was confused while getting started had to watch a you tube tutorial. I had used Nord VPN and a couple others but ther were way to slow and sloppy. But after using AirVPN for a couple days I think I found the best VPN for my needs. woo-hoo This makes more sense to me. I do have one quick question and would love feedback... I use Tor almost everyday and now that I have AirVPN I was wondering what is the best way to use the both together. Do I download the tor bundle every time? Or is there a way to haveit preset? What do you fellow users do and what have you found works the fastest, the most consistent and how much anonymity do you think you have if buying?not selling items from DNM? Any feedback is much appreciated.
  23. AirVPN in the short time i have been able to use it thusfar has been an excellent tool in the business of bypassing the censorship of ISP's ranging from workplaces, public wifi etc. I have previously used PIA, IPvanish, ExpressVPN and NordVPN. AirVPN by far makes the goal of privacy and censorship bypassing their main priority of their business plan and as a customer that has been extremely valuable as other providers only give you a assurance of privacy, however AirVPN will take you the time and walk you through and SHOW you that your data is safe and the EU legislation that makes all of this possible for them. No one likes spy's, big brothers or the moral watchdogs of today's internet society's.
