Hi, Recently, I am experiencing long waiting times (20+ mins) for Eddie to start up and run in Windows 10. Apparently, the program tries to "delete routes", trying - without success - to do the same thing over and over again. I've been using Eddie on Windows 10 perfectly fine up through yesterday. Today I try to connect and I get "route gateway is not reachable on any network adapters" as an error. My subscription is up in 4 days; does that have anything to do with it?

Platform: Ubuntu 16.04 Eddie version 2.16.3 (same behaviour on 2.16.1) Recently my VPN connection has started breaking down at irregular intervals (sometimes within 24 hours of a successful reconnect, sometimes after a few days). I only see a simple error pop-up displayed, telling me that there is "no server available". There are still servers listed in the overview, but I'm not able to automatically or manually reconnect until I force quit Eddie altogether and restart. After that, it works normally again - until the next drop. The behavior started about a 1-2 months ago, when I was still using Eddie 2.16.1, but has continued after a recent upgrade to 2.16.3. My system has developed a fault, highlighted by the message: "could not load file or assembly `sorttbls.nlp` or one of its dependencies" from Eddie (portable). The system is Win 7 Pro (6.1.7601.Service Pack1 Build 7601). Had no such problems until I decide to get the latest Win updates. I first updated the system drivers, then downloaded and installed the Win updates, then rebooted and the message appeared. Eddie didn't load, nor did OVPN. I then did the following (with reboots after each): Ran SFC (sfc /scannow) which detected no errors (ran several times to make sure). No change Removed Eddie and then reinstated it from the downloaded zip file. No change Used System Restore to roll back the Windows update. No change Used system Restore to roll back the driver updates (prior to this Eddie had worked o.k). No change Looked up the error message and the opinion was that it cam from .Net being corrupted. Used the .Net Repair option from Programs and Features (3 times). this showed the .Net version as 4.7.2. No change Used Turn Windows Features On or Off to turn .Net Off & On. It showed .Net 3.5.1 with all boxes unticked. No change Downloaded the .NetFXRepair tool and the latest (4.7.2) .Net install from MS Ran the Repair tool. No change Ran the 4.7.2 install. No change Looked up the error message here but can't find anything referring to it. The only options I can see left are: 1) Completely uninstall .Net & remove Eddie Reinstall .Net and set up a fresh Eddie 2) Do a Repair reinstall of Win 7 3) Give up and transfer to Linux Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it? If so how? Has anyone else any further suggestions on what measures to take?

I recently installed a fresh OS (Windows 7 Pro 64) in my PC. Upon doing so and getting Eddie and qBittorrent installed, I was having horrible speeds and could not surf the net while torrenting as I did before. I never had connection issues before. I tried many things, posting a few threads on here, and nothing worked. So, I grabbed my old Hard Drive with the old OS install on it and went C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Local\AirVpn folder and copied the AirVPN.xml file (which is all your Eddie settings, etc) and installed an old version of Eddie (2.12.4) pasting AirVPN.xml into that folder on my new OS in the same location. Whalah. Everything is up and running as it once was and speeds are fantastic while torrenting and surfing. I am going to assume it is the AirVPN.xml file with all my old settings that did the trick. It may also be the older version of Eddie as well. So, anyone having issues with new version of Eddie try this if possible. It may help you. Once you get everything working, save your AirVPN.xml file (in the location I gave you) and keep it for if you need to do a fresh OS install or other PC maintenance. Or if you still have your old OS, grab the AirVPN.xml file and paste it into your new PS install. Hope this can help someone.

I installed V1 of the Eddie client for Android on my Fire TV. I also activated an ovpn file. I kept the default configuration plus a whitelist of just a couple of apps to test. The client starts normally and connects, I can see in the little stats box that there is some minimum traffic, but after a few seconds, probably 30 or 60 at most it says the VPN tunnel has been locked. When I look in the logs it says there was an error and that it changed state to Lock VPN. I think it says it's event 14. The only way to get out of the lock is to disconnect and reconnect, but a few seconds later the error happens again. For what it's worth I use this other client successfully: http://plai.de/android/ Being a fire tv I'm not even sure how to export full logs. Any ideas?

I have been going through a headache since installing a new hard drive and fresh OS install. Eddie works fine, but once I start to torrent the speeds go down very fast. I never had this issue on my previous OS install. I could torrent many files and still surf with relative ease. This is not happening now and I do not know what the issue it. I have two previous posts asking for help. While using Eddie 2.16.3, all of a sudden it began to say waiting for latency tests (219 to go) and staying like that. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it to make sure I have the most recent version but now it says 218 to go. If I wait long enough will it get through it or is there some preference I need to change somewhere?

Is there a way to get my old Eddie settings file off my old OS drive and put it on my new OC install? I am having some serious issues with Eddie/Torrenting since installing my OS fresh and think it may be because I had some setting in Eddie before hand set different (I think it was a TCP or UDP setting, but I can't remember) and that is why I had such good speeds before. If I could copy my old settings over from my old HD with the old OS on it that may fix my problem. Description: Sometimes i use the Linux Eddie App to connect to AirVPN. Strangely I cant connect under different Mint versions to Air s server when Auto/or UDP protocol is ticked .... And yes, I read about being stuck on "checking DNS or route" (which happens to me using UDP) as well I tinkered around with the Routing option integrated in Eddie s App. As soon as I stop using UDP I am able to connect independently what the other Eddie settings are ... Can anyone explain why this is??? Tx in advance

So I'm running Arch Linux on my laptop and I Eddie runs and connects just fine however is there a way to make it automatically start up at login? By default I have to authorize it by entering my password at every login. I thought about maybe having it run as a service but I had no luck getting it to work.

I'm running Eddie 2.16.3 installed from AUR on Manjaro with kernel 4.18.5 and I'm finding that network lock takes a long time to apply all the rules required. At the moment I've got a workaround by just backing up / restoring the iptables rules using iptables-save > iptables_rules_AirVPN.txt iptables-restore < iptables_rules_AirVPN.txt This change is immediate but I understand that this isn't great as things will change. Anyone else encountered similar?

After starting Eddie I have to leave the window open and also to not resize or minimize. If i do any of the above I Eddie becomes a blank window, i can still access the toolbar to shut down. Clicking the Air Eddie icon in Ubuntu's tool bar (where the volume and power buttons are) can sometimes bring it back to normal. If I try to change option tab in Eddie sometimes parts of the previous tab will show on the active tab. Attached is an example where I resized the window, changed tab to servers and then back to overview. The server view is partly visible.

hi. as indicated in the topic... i set up auth. via a hashed password in torrc. i'm dead sure i'm copying same hash over to eddie (with the 16:prefix). one output only: Unable to communicate with Tor (515 Authentication failed: Password did not match HashedControlPassword *or* authentication cookie.). Is Tor up and running? Tor is detecting that control connection, but not complaining about auth issues (in the output). [notice] New control connection opened from 127.0.0.1.

Lately I get a lot of "netsh" errors, cannot connect to several servers (Canada).

Today I bought a trial of PIA just to test it out and see how it compared to AirVPN. Well, I installed the PIA client on my Windows computer and wasn't satisfied with PIA, so I uninstalled PIA, uninstalled the TAP driver, then uninstalled Eddie as well to make sure nothing went wrong. Well, it did go wrong somehow. I reinstalled Eddie, logged in, it automatically installed the TAP driver again, and then it wouldn't connect to any servers at all, so I uninstalled and reinstalled again, restarted my PC, and now when I connect to a server with Network Lock on, it looks like there is a DNS error of some sort. Previously, when I went to ipleak.net, the DNS testing was near instant and it said "1 server". Now, it takes a very long time for it to test the DNS and it says "0 servers, 100 errors". Also, loading websites works at first, but 3 or 4 minutes after connecting to VPN, domain names will just not resolve. I type in google.com or airvpn.org and it just stays loading forever. Please help, I have no idea what is wrong either because the Eddie log is perfectly normal as if there were no issues. I have restarted the PC a few more times and uninstalled and re installed Eddie a few times but still no dice

Every time I try to log in to my bank website over VPN it gives me issues, so I was wondering how I can exclude the bank website's traffic from going over the VPN using the eddie client?

I'm encountering a strange issue for the past few days where I'm unable to connect to the internet when eddie isn't running. Info about my system/software: Mac OSX 10.12.6 Eddie v 2.15.2 Eddie is setup to run with the network lock enabled by default. I have, in the past, faced these issues where the machine would refuse to connect to the internet when eddie wasn't running, and restarting the machine would restore connectivity [sic] Restarting the machine doesn't seem to be doing the trick for me anymore, and I'm stuck with the need to use the machine without the airVPN connectivity (because I need to use my employer's VPN instead) Attaching logs, and screenshots of my Eddie settings. I'm using KDE PCLinuxOS and running Eddit 2.15.2 (eddie-ui_2.15.2_linux_x64_portable) Eddie takes about 7 to 10 minutes to Flush DNS, going into VPN and comming ot of VPN. Any reason why so it takes so very long? Thank you to all who take the time to review this question.

When I have the VPN active using Eddie, my DNS queries randomly come to a crawl. In Chrome I see "Resolving host" a lot. Sometimes takes 10 seconds or more to return. I disconnect the VPN, shutdown Eddie and everything is back to running fine. Even through I am running the latest Eddie and the latest Windows 10 version, I tried setting the metric cost in the various adapters, per the sticky in this forum. Set the normal ethernet adaptor to 25 and a virtual box adaptor to 35. Both for ipv4 and ipv6. Eddie set's it's TAP adaptor to 3 for both protocols. None of that helped. I'm at a loss. Hi, I'm running the AirVPN Eddie client on my Windows 10 64-bit machines. I was recently unable to connect to my network, but not the internet or AirVPN and remembered I had the same problem on my other machine a few months ago and this forum gave me a solution. It involved setting the IPv4 to my preferred connection through a netsh powershell command. Doing this fix I noticed that there were 50 different ethernet connections that Eddie has created and I was wondering if there is a way to delete these connections to prevent any issues moving forward? Forgive my laziness, has anyone tried Eddie for Android on a Fire TV or another android tv and does it work better than the openvpn ics?

(I have submitted the following to AirVPN support and decided to post it here also to identify problems and potentially get them resolved). Eddie OpenVPN UI Version 2.15.2 problems. 1. Upon startup, I receive the message: "Unable to contact provider AirVPN to obtain bootstrap information. Please check your internet connection.". After I dismiss the dialog, AirVPN seems to be working, but how can I be sure after such a message? 2. The Events tab is no longer present. 3. The list of servers seems not to scoring, for all the stars next to all of the servers are uncolored. Please advise. Thank you.
