  4. Lately, my Eddie hasn't been connecting online. I first found out yesterday. Whenever I try to connect, I keep getting this "Unknown Error Code 10051" and it always fails to connect online. I managed to fix it by turning off the Network Lock and turning it back on. But today I got this error again and I couldn't fix it the same way before. It didn't work. I tried searching for Error code 10051 and I could only find one here https://airvpn.org/forums/topic/45626-openvpn-write-udpv6-unknown-error-code10051/ I tried the solution there, to switch my connection type to IPV4, IPV6 but that didn't work either. I even tried reinstalling Eddie and no luck. Just so you know, I'm getting this error on Windows 10. It seems to work fine on Linux and the OpenVPN Connect app. Here's my log. . 2020.08.29 13:55:54 - Eddie version: 2.18.9 / windows_x64, System: Windows, Name: Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019, Version: Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.17763.0, Mono/.Net: v4.0.30319 . 2020.08.29 13:55:54 - Command line arguments (1): path="home" . 2020.08.29 13:55:55 - Profile path: C:\Users\Jacque Arnham\AppData\Local\Eddie\default.profile . 2020.08.29 13:55:55 - Reading options from C:\Users\Jacque Arnham\AppData\Local\Eddie\default.profile . 2020.08.29 13:55:56 - Tun Driver - 0901: 9.24.2; wintun: Not found . 2020.08.29 13:55:56 - OpenVPN - Version: 2.4.8 - OpenSSL 1.1.0l 10 Sep 2019, LZO 2.10 (C:\Program Files\AirVPN\openvpn.exe) . 2020.08.29 13:55:56 - SSH - Version: plink 0.67 (C:\Program Files\AirVPN\plink.exe) . 2020.08.29 13:55:56 - SSL - Version: stunnel 5.40 (C:\Program Files\AirVPN\stunnel.exe) . 2020.08.29 13:55:56 - curl - Version: 7.68.0 (C:\Program Files\AirVPN\curl.exe) . 2020.08.29 13:55:57 - Recovery. I have tried version 2.17.2, 2.16.3, 2.15.2, 2.13.6 Each version exhibits the same symptoms, the logs show the TAP Adapter is not launching correctly. . 2018.10.24 18:49:26 - Eddie Windows Interface Hack executed (Ethernet 3) . 2018.10.24 18:49:27 - OpenVPN > TEST ROUTES: 0/0 succeeded len=-1 ret=0 a=0 u/d=down . 2018.10.24 18:49:27 - OpenVPN > Route: Waiting for TUN/TAP interface to come up.. It will loop this error over and over again until it gives up. I have tried uninstalling the TAP drivers and reinstalling them. I have tried uninstalling the client and TAP drivers and rebooting. I have tried multiple versions of the client. I have tried using IPv4 only in Eddie, my NICs, and the TAP NIC. However I can get the tunnel to complete by disabling the TAP adapter ahead of time. The client will force a re-installation of the driver and the tunnel will connect. However I have not internet access even though the tunnel is active, it's like the network locking component is in place like it should be but I can't seem to transmit my traffic through the VPN tunnel. I am out of ideas so I will post my logs here. (Logs Retracted) I have also tried setting the TAP adapter to always be on. I will attach some of the more advanced debugging logs. (Logs Retracted) If anybody can notice anything I am missing, I would appreciate it.
  8. Hello. I read that connecting to AirVPN using port UDP 53 instead of UDP 443 is a way to get better speeds, but when I tried to do it today it could not connect to that port on any server and kept giving me an error. This happened on both my phone (connected with Wi-Fi) and PC (connected with ethernet cable) . I contacted my ISP and asked them if they were blocking any ports, and they said they were only blocking ports 80 and 25. I had the ISP unblock these ports just in case that was somehow the issue, but it was not and VPN on UDP 53 continued to not work. I even tried forwarding UDP port 53 to my devices from my router, but that didn't do anything. However, when I turn off Wi-Fi on my phone and connect to my mobile network, UDP 53 works flawlessly. Here is a log of me trying to connect to an AirVPN server on port UDP 53 on my Wi-Fi using my android phone and the Eddie for Android app Eddie Log created on 09 Aug 2018 19:24:41 UTC Eddie for Android 1.0 RC 2 Version Code 5 09 Aug 2018 19:23:52 UTC [debug] NativeMethods.OVPN3.Init succeeded (version=3) 09 Aug 2018 19:23:52 UTC Network is connected to WIFI 09 Aug 2018 19:23:52 UTC [debug] VPNService.NetworkStatusChanged: action='RESUME' 09 Aug 2018 19:23:52 UTC Network is connected to WIFI 09 Aug 2018 19:23:52 UTC [debug] VPNService.NetworkStatusChanged: action='RESUME' 09 Aug 2018 19:24:03 UTC Network is connected to WIFI 09 Aug 2018 19:24:03 UTC [debug] VPNService.NetworkStatusChanged: action='RESUME' 09 Aug 2018 19:24:03 UTC Network is connected to WIFI 09 Aug 2018 19:24:03 UTC [debug] VPNService.NetworkStatusChanged: action='RESUME' 09 Aug 2018 19:24:04 UTC OpenVPN3: ovpn3_client_set_option '1' - 9. Hello, I recently installed Antergos Linux (Arch Linux) on my main Computer and my Laptop. So I downloaded the Config files and tried to run them with the default openvpn. I cannot establish a connection. The old ones are working, the new ones don't. Maybe someone has the same problem or a solution? The Problem occurs also when I download another protocol-config or change the Server/State. Thanks
  10. Hello, I can successfully run the Eddie CLI and connect by issuing sudo ~/airvpn -cli -connect However, I want to put this line into a shell script "vpn.sh" so that I con't have to type all this every time I connect, but instead just issue "vpn.sh". When I do this, the program doesn't connect but instead I get a small graphical window with the title "Eddie" and the content "Lib.Platform.Linux.Native.so". This also happens when I set an alias for the long command in my .bashrc. Does anyone know why that happens, and how to avoid it? If there's another, better solution to my problem, I'm also happy to hear about it. Thanks in advance. /Edit: Okay, this is mighty weird: *Sometimes*, this command throws the same error: sudo /home/beefcake/files/Software/eddie-ui_2.13.6_linux_x64_portable/airvpn -cli -connect I've had two bash windows open where it worked in one, and failed in the other. If I issue these commands, it works: cd /home/beefcake/files/Software/eddie-ui_2.13.6_linux_x64_portable/ sudo ./airvpn -cli -connect

  12. On macOS, Eddie often fails reconnecting to AirVPN when recovering from sleeping mode. Either Eddie crashes completely or the routing checking fails.

  14. Hi there I seem to be getting multiple 'DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG' errors with the latest 2.12.4 client on a lot of the UK servers leading me to disconnect then reconnect (successfully) to a different server. Has anyone else observed this? Any client settings changes anyone can recommend or are these server side issues at the moment?
  15. Hi, Just switched back to Debian and downloaded the latest Eddie client and cannot get it to work, I keep getting a restart with the error message “the authentication or encryption has failed.” Any idea how to resolve this? Cheers
  16. Hello, I downloaded the latest experimental version of Eddie and tried to install it while the older version was open. It gave me an error while installing, so I closed the running Eddie and completed the installation successfully. After it was complete, the client wouldn't start anymore and I'm getting this error (see attached screenshot). I tried to uninstall and reinstall the application but the problem persists, also the restart of windows didn't solve it. I also tried to run cmd as administrator and do "sfc /scannow" but it won't work. It gives me an error "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service." I tried to install stable version of Eddie, same problem. What can I do? I'm running windows 10. Best regards, Alan
  17. Hello, I'm using "OpenVPN Settings" on Android, because of an unfixed bug of Android which completely prevents me from using OpenVPN for Android. So I am sorry that I cannot use the recommended app. I created an "Android" config file in the client area, but my first problem is that "/sbin/ip" was not found: iproute was at "/system/bin/ip" instead. I figured out that adding `iproute /system/bin/ip` to my ovpn config file fixed this. Now the openvpn successfully connects either from terminal using `openvpn <filename.ovpn` or using OpenVPN Settings app. But, my browser is still going straight to the web from my mobile network. My IP address is still my normal IP address when I look it up, though OpenVPN logs appear normal and successfully connected. I have tried adding 'redirect-gateway' to the config file but it doesn't work. I would love some support making this connection successful and secure as I would like to use my phone through VPN only for some tasks. I have attached my logs. Thanks!
  18. Hey, I have been using the Portable version of Eddie on my Ubuntu 16.04 installation with no problems, ever since the native Ubuntu client stopped working on 16.04 a few months ago. Earlier today, I booted my laptop up after about two weeks and got the recent set of updates for Ubuntu 16.04, which I've been running since April 2016. Post installing the updates and restarting the laptop, I tried running the portable Eddie 2.10 client by clicking the shortcut I've set up on the launcher. Nothing happened, no error message, no freeze and in fact no other sign that the icon had even been clicked. After restarting the computer, I again tried clicking on the launcher shortcut a few more times to no response. Since I had made no changes (or even turned on the laptop) since the last two weeks, I thought the recent set of updates to Ubuntu might have something to do with Eddie not launching or even giving an error. So I explored the AirVPN forums and came across these two links: https://airvpn.org/topic/17810-installing-portable-airvpn-client-version/ and https://airvpn.org/topic/18366-airvpn-portable-archlinux-x64-not-running/ that dicuss this problem. In order to follow the instructions in the above two links, I downloaded a new copy of Eddie 2.10 Portable client, extracted it on the Desktop and attempted to launch it in the Terminal (something I never had to do before) The output (which is similar to the errors described in the two links above) was as follows: gtnoob@Anonymous-Laptop:~/Desktop/airvpn_linux_x64_portable$ '/home/gtnoob/Desktop/airvpn_linux_x64_portable/airvpn' Unhandled Exception: System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for Mono.Unix.Native.Syscall ---> System.DllNotFoundException: $mono_libdir/libMonoPosixHelper.so at (wrapper managed-to-native) Mono.Unix.Native.Syscall:_L_ctermid () at Mono.Unix.Native.Syscall..cctor () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at AirVPN.Platforms.Linux.GetExecutablePath () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at AirVPN.Core.Platform.GetProgramFolder () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at AirVPN.Core.Engine.Initialization () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at AirVPN.UI.Linux.Program.Main () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 [ERROR] FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for Mono.Unix.Native.Syscall ---> System.DllNotFoundException: $mono_libdir/libMonoPosixHelper.so at (wrapper managed-to-native) Mono.Unix.Native.Syscall:_L_ctermid () at Mono.Unix.Native.Syscall..cctor () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at AirVPN.Platforms.Linux.GetExecutablePath () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at AirVPN.Core.Platform.GetProgramFolder () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at AirVPN.Core.Engine.Initialization () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at AirVPN.UI.Linux.Program.Main () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 This error is almost the same as the error in the above two posts. The solution to the above error given in the first post linked above was to run the following command: sudo ln -s '/path/to/airvpn_linux_x64_portable/libMonoPosixHelper.so' '/usr/lib/libMonoPosixHelper.so' when I ran the command, after changing the path to the correct folder on my Dekstop, I got the following error: ln: failed to create symbolic link '/usr/lib/libMonoPosixHelper.so': File exists So essentially, the solution given in the first post linked above does not seem to work for me. Nothing else I've tried seems to work either. Clearly, something in the recent set of updates seems to have broken the Eddie 2.10 Portable Client from working on Ubuntu 16.04. I would greatly appreciate any help on how I could make this work! I am willing to provide any logs, information or time that may be needed for this to work. Thanks a ton for reading this rather long post all the way to the end and hope we can find a quick and effective solution (and get a new native client) soon!
  19. I'm trying to use the portable version (no mono) of the client on Linux Mint. When I try to connect to a server I get an error "OpenVPN is already running". I don't think I have anything running in background that would cause this message to appear. I have one more VPN client installed on my machine from other provider but I have to manually start it. I checked on System Monitor for processes with "vpn" in name and I didn't find anything. Do you know what may cause this and how to solve the issue?
  20. Hello, i am not aware if anyone else experiences this issue, but when i lock my phone when i am not using it, and wake it up again some minutes later, even with full network access my client fails to re connect to the tunnel. Below i have attached my log file and the view i get from the app after unlocking my device. Any help the user base could provide would be much appreciated. I also have a support ticket regarding the matter but they seem to be clueless as to the cause. OpenVPN Log File.txt
  21. Hey, So I am trying to install Eddie on the new Ubuntu 16.04 LTS release and am getting the following error. Package Dependencies could not be resolved. Dependency is not satisfiable libmono-system-runtime2.0-cil. I tried installing that dependency and got the following message: Package libmono-system-runtime2.0-cil is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, oris only available from another sourceHowever the following packages replace it: mono-reference-assemblies-2.0 mono-devel Installing the two replacement packages doesn't solve the problem either. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thank you!
  22. Hi, I cannot connect to any server as every time AirVPN tries to install TAP device driver and fails. I have Win10, I've already installed tap-windows-9.21.1.exe successfully in Win10 safe mode, but seems AirVPN does not see it and tries to install it again, fails and I'm stuck. If anyone has any suggestion, I'd greatly appreciate! Thanks in advance!

  24. The error I am getting is seen above. I installed the client on my windows 7 machine and it works fine. Came home and installed it on my windows 10 machine and I get this error immediately after I hit the Login button. Any suggestions?
  25. Hi, I'm interested on use a vpn to get access to restricted sites on a local network with a moderate high speed bandwidth, I've been using a different vpn to fulfill this, but recently only use linux so I need an alternative to my previous vpn, I tried to connect with the client inside the network but got error 417, on an unrestricted network didn't get the error, instead got the message 'Subscription required'. I searched the 417 error on internet but didn't understood the answers so I'm asking here how can I solve this problem?, also is there any trial service to test the service to allow me connect and download on a restricted network before any purchase?.
