Hello! Unfortunately some very popular torrent clients are closed source software so we can't say for sure what they do, but in case of doubts you can disable IPv6 in your system when you connect to the VPN. Kind regards

@Devonshire Hello, make sure to authorize packets to/from 54.246.124.152 to speed up authentication procedure if you run Eddie. Kind regards

Hello! Eddie is the codename of Air client versions 2. The working iPad deserves investigation. Are you sure it is successfully connected? Usually good performance from China can be achieved with OpenVPN over SSL to Hong Kong and Singapore servers. Kind regards

Hello! On OS X, run Eddie (the AirVPN client) and configure it for OpenVPN over SSL: click the "AirVPN" button, select "Preferences", click "Advanced" tab, select "SSL Tunnel - Port 443" and click "Save". Unfortunately Tunnelblick does not support connections of OpenVPN over SSL. We have no rational explanation to the fact that OpenVPN is disrupted on your Mac and not on your iOS device. Maybe they are connected to different ISPs? Kind regards

Hello! At the moment we do not support this patch and we need to study it thoroughly before touching the original source code and compile it for production. From China, it is easy to connect with OpenVPN over SSL (with Windows, Linux and OS X). In our client Eddie, click the "AirVPN" button, select "Preferences", click the "Protocols" tab, select "SSL Tunnel - Port 443" and click "Save". In this way OpenVPN tunnel will be in itself tunneled inside an SSL tunnel, so any OpenVPN "fingerprint" can't be detected by DPI. Kind regards

Hello! We're glad to inform you that you can now verify md5, sha1, sha256 and sha512 files hashes. Additionally OS X and Linux rpm packages are digitally signed. Kind regards

EDIT: SERVER WITHDRAWN ON 16-JUN-2016. Reasons: no more technical compliance to our requirements. Unfair behavior (server "connected" surreptitiously to a 100 Mbit/s port while we were paying for a 1 Gbit/s port) Hello! We're very glad to inform you that a new 1 Gbit/s server located in Spain is available: Nihal. The AirVPN client will show automatically the new server, while if you use the OpenVPN client you can generate all the files to access them through our configuration/certificates/key generator (menu "Client Area"->"Config generator"). The server accepts connections on ports 53, 80, 443, 2018 UDP and TCP. Just like every other Air server, Nihal supports OpenVPN over SSL and OpenVPN over SSH. As usual no traffic limits, no logs, no discrimination on protocols and hardened security against various attacks with separate entry and exit-IP addresses. NOTE: the server IP addresses geo-location at RIPE database has been changed yesterday, therefore several services might still locate the server IP addresses in some wrong place. Do not hesitate to contact us for any information or issue. Kind regards and datalove AirVPN Team

ANSWERED SSL only 128-bit encryption, why not 256 like openvpn?
Staff replied to In*the*AIR's topic in General & Suggestions
Hello! We don't want to add security to the SSL layer. The SSL layer has the only purpose to encrypt the OpenVPN headers to prevent OpenVPN usage detection, it must not be thought as an additional security layer: the real security lies on the OpenVPN tunnel inside the SSL tunnel. Anyway, AES-128 is robust, even too much for our purposes. Remember that you should use OpenVPN over SSL only when absolutely unavoidable (for example from China, or whenever an ISP tries to block OpenVPN), because with OpenVPN over SSL you add a significant overhead and on top of that you force OpenVPN to work in TCP, while OpenVPN gives out its best performance in UDP. Kind regards -
Hello! The main frontend auth server was down and Eddie had to use some alternate connections to validate the client. Of course we can think about how to speed up this anti-censorship method but anyway it works and that's a good thing. Now that we have switched to a failover server the authentication will be much faster. Kind regards

Hello! Are you sure? On our test systems any text can be pasted in the password field. About the settings to be remembered after an upgrade, this will be fixed in version 2.4. Kind regards

Getting disconnected after checking route.
Staff replied to themystical's topic in Troubleshooting and Problems
Hello! And it's not a DNS issue. The system does not communicate at all in the VPN. First thing to check is firewall and antivirus, just in case they are either interfering with network modifications, or blocking OpenVPN packets. Feel free to post the output of command "ipconfig /all" and "route print" (edit it if some IP address may affect your privacy). Kind regards -

Hello, it does not seem and Eddie problem then. From the symptoms you report and from these log line: 2014.07.06 12:29:05 - Checking route W 2014.07.06 12:29:26 - Unable to connect to the remote server it seems that your system is unable to resolve name after it enters the VPN. Before proceeding with further attempts let's make sure that it's only a DNS issue and not something else: please connect with OpenVPN again, open a command prompt, issue the commands ping 10.4.0.1 ping 8.8.8.8 tracert 95.211.138.143 and paste the output here.
