Probably 1320 was choose as it usually just works. Most likely your network will function with a higher value, so give it a try. It all depends on your internet connection MTU. If you know it, you can calculate other MTUs. Check your router WAN interface settings or ask ISP. Standard Ethernet has 1500. Wireguard + the rest of the stack takes 80, so the Wireguard default is 1420. However, if the base MTU is lower than 1500, which happens with some internet connection types, you'll start getting issues. Usually low speed and stuff like HTTPS, SSH not working reliably.

Thank you go558a83nk and benfitita After setting the MTU and MSS I get values of 250 Mb/s in download and 300 Mb/s in upload. MTU: 1420 MSS: 1420 Good for you

New 10 Gbit/s server available (CA)

Hello! We're very glad to inform you that a new 10 Gbit/s (full duplex) server located in Toronto (Canada) is available: Wurren. The AirVPN client will show automatically the new server; if you use any other OpenVPN or WireGuard client you can generate all the files to access it through our configuration/certificates/key generator (menu "Client Area"->"Config generator"). The server accepts connections on ports 53, 80, 443, 1194, 2018 UDP and TCP for OpenVPN and ports 1637 and 47107 UDP for WireGuard. Wurren supports OpenVPN over SSL and OpenVPN over SSH, TLS 1.3, OpenVPN tls-crypt and WireGuard. Full IPv6 support is included as well. As usual no traffic limits, no logs, no discrimination on protocols and hardened security against various attacks with separate entry and exit-IP addresses and 4096 bit DH key not shared with any other VPN server. You can check the status as usual in our real time servers monitor: https://airvpn.org/servers/Wurren Do not hesitate to contact us for any information or issue. Kind regards and datalove

Hello! We're glad to inform you that all VPN servers are now connected to 1 Gbit/s or 10 Gbit/s full duplex lines and their hardware can use the full available bandwidth, even thanks to software optimization, load balancing and widespread WireGuard usage. To reflect project completion we have modified the real time servers monitor accordingly. https://airvpn.org/status The displayed throughput is again the sum of the total throughput (up+down bandwidth) as usual, but the total available bandwidth is the total up+down bandwidth which the server is, from now on, really capable to use. As usual, if you need a more detailed overview, including stats, history and distinction of up and down bandwidth, you can click the server name. Kind regards & datalove AirVPN Staff
