Hi. I'm new to mac and Airvpn after using PC and another VPN with Qbit. I hope these steps I've taken to torrent with Qbit are correct, but if I have misstepped, please correct me. Firewall settings: 1.Block all incoming connections: deselected - Eddie: Allow incoming connections - qBit: Allow incoming connections 2. Automaticallt allow built-in softwarre to receive incoming connections: selected 3. Automatically allow downloaded signed software to receive incoming conncections: selected 4. Enable stealth mode: selected. Qbit settings: 1. Behaviour: Untouched; as in, I haven't selected or deselected anything, because I have no idea what it all means. If anyone has recommendations, I would be grateful. 2. Downloads: See 1. 3. Connection: - Peer connetion protocol: TCP and UTP (same as the protocol on my Ports page) - Listening Port: set to the same port on my Ports page) - Use UPnP / NAT=PMP port forwarding from my router: deselected I have not messed with either: Connection Limits, I2p (experimental), Proxy Server, IP Filtering, etc. Speed: Default settings (any recommendations greatly appreciated) 1. Global Rate Limits: - Upload: infinite - Download: infinite 2. Alternative Rate Limits: - Upload: 10 KiB/s - Download: 10 KiB/s Rate Limits Settings: - Apply rate limit to UTP protocol, ticked. - " " " " peers on LAN, ticked. - Apply .... transport overhead, not ticked. BitTorrent: Default settings (any recommendations greatly appreciated) RSS Reader: Default settings (any recommendations greatly appreciated) Web User Interface (Remote control): entirely greyed out. Advanced: Default Settings (any recommendations greatly appreciated). 3. Network interface: Any interface 4. Optional IP address to bind to: All addresses (Q. Is the "::1" my best option, since a ":1" is the number beside my port number on my Ports page? Thank you for reading this and thank you in advance for any advice. On PC, with Proton VPN, I just selected "port forwarding" and added the App number to qBit and binded them. I have learned from reading AirVPN's guides and forums that I should have deselcted "Use UPnP / NAT=PMP port forwarding from my router", alas.

Raspberry Pi 5 & qBittorrent nox firewalled
EwieNaiad posted a topic in Troubleshooting and Problems
Hello, I write this message for help because, I try many things, I read many message about this problem but I can't find the solution. I have a totally working setup with a **Raspberry Pi 3 B+** with *qBittorent nox (v4.6.2)*, *AirVPN* and *port forwarding* working with *openvpn* on *Raspbian 11*. I want to upgrade my setup with a **Raspberry Pi 5**. I use new version of *qBittorent nox (v5.0.1)*, *hummingbird* CLI to use VPN and *port forwarding* with *AirVPN* on *Debian 12*. I try many things, but I can't make it work. When I check *Your forwarded ports* page, I see *Connection refused (111)*. My configuration is: Connection > Listening Port - Use only uTP - Port: forwarded port - Use UPnP / NAT-PMP port forwarding from my router: off Connection > Connections Limits - Global maximum number of connections: off - Maximum number of connected peers per torrent: off - Global maximum number of upload slots: off - Maximum number of upload slots per torrent: off Speed > Rate Limits Settings - Alternative global rate limits: off - Apply rate limit to transport overhead: off - Apply rate limit to peers on LAN: off BitTorrent - Torrent Queueing: off I try to let configuration as native too, but it doesn't work. I try to disable firewall with `ufw` or to enable it, but it doesn't work. BUT, it works with *transmission*! Everything is working and I see *Port is open* on *Your forwarded ports* page. When I use some tools to verify IP address, I see my VPN IP address. Some I don't understand what with my qBittorent configuration. I try to use *qBittorent nox (v4.6.2)* but it doesn't work too, even if I use config from my Raspberry Pi 3 B+. In best case, I have qBittorent firewalled as *Connection status*, and worst case, I have *Disconnected*. However if I disabled VPN, everything is working. So, I'm sorry if it's similar to other message, but I can't find the solution. I hope you can help me. I can provide more information if needed. Thanks you. -
So, for the past year or so I've been using the vpn without any issues while connected to my qbittorrent client. But this evening, for whatever reason, I cannot get qbit to connect when my vpn is on. After some trouble shooting I discovered that no matter which port I use, the connection will timeout and give a "connection timeout (110)" code. I'm not super knowledgeable about this sort of thing, and I've tried everything I know to try and am comfortable with. I tried updating qbit, changing the ports, renaming the network interface and then rebinding qbit to the new name, and restarting my computer, all of which yielded no results. I'd really appreciate any help on this.

I'm on macOS sonoma, using Eddie with network lock and port forwarding set up in qbittorrent. I'm not getting any transfer activity. The interface list in the advanced settings doesn't have "eddie" like it does on pc. I've been trying them all, but nothing seems to enable transfers. I've attached a screenshot of the options available to me. I have a feeling it's one of the utun0-6, but I can't get it to work. Any help?

Ive followed instructions below (both methods, same resulting interface) to bind qbit to Eddie and it did not work. I tested with this ubunti torrent which should stop when you disconnect and it did not stop.

Recently switched from Mullvad and everything is working fairly well except one issue with qBittorent. I have it bound to Eddie and the port is forwarded with that port in the box for the listening port. Use Upnp is unchecked. This work 90% of the time but every once in awhile I get stuck on all torrents downloading metadata despite many seeders. Fiddling with the listening port, selecting random, then putting the original forwarded port back in resolves the issues. The question is why is this happing if the port is open? I've had a fully automated setup with sonarr and radarr for years and just wondering what's causing this. All other settings have been working in qBittorent for as long as I've had this setup. I'm using the most recent version of qBittorent on windows 10 and using WireGuard for the protocol.

Hi, I would like to set up split-tunneling by using the "routes" tab within the Eddie client (Windows). I want all traffic to be sent outside of the tunnel, except for my torrent client qBittorrent like it is described in this forum post. Unfortunately, the comment by the staff member did not include an explanation with steps how to do this exactly. I want to be sure that I am doing it correctly, so just guessing or trial and error is not an option, as I am worried about exposing my IP address if I do not set it up correctly. I was not able to find an explanation for this as all the other forum posts that I found only explained how to do it with using external software and not the Eddie client. My knowledge about networking is somewhat limited. So how exactly do I either exclude all traffic except from the tunnel except for the one specified? And how do I know which IP addresses I need to include for qBittorrent? are there multiple or just one? If someone knows how to see which one(s) it is in the "execution log" within qBittorrent please let me know. Adding these details in case they make a difference: I have port forwarding set up and use wireguard as a protocol and I have the Web-UI enabled to use with Prowlarr. I don't know if I am using IPv4 and/or IPv6.

My knowledge is lower intermediate at best but let me explain myself. So I got the AIRVPN sub, setup port forwarding, setup port forwarding in qbitorrent and all seemed gravy. One problem the speeds are bad, like real bad terrible even. So I go on this forum and read a post about using wireguard with airvpn. So I download wireguard and generate a protocol thru this site and paste into the wireguard it connects. Speed much better and still says I'm in another country. Here's the rub: The torrent I'm downloading in qbitorrent is now saying "stalled" and I'm seeding nothing also Eddie is continuously saying "connecting" and "restarting". I read somewhere saying to go into protocols/ prefs/ uncheck auto/ choose wireguard/ and then save. No changes. I figured I did something wrong somewhere or didn't do something.... Now I'm wondering about something call DNS leaks? Basically any help you can give me would be appreciated.

Hello! I have a Win10 PC, with qBittorrent. I have been able to port forward successfully! However, I find that whenever I close qBittorent, and then open it back up later, the port is no longer open and says "Connection timed out (110)", so in the client I'm actually unable to download/upload/connect to peers. I did some research and found the fix for this on these forums (temporarily). Pretty much, I have to open my client, go to the advanced settings, Change it from "Eddie" for the Network Interface to "Any Interface". Then, close the client, open the client back up and then again change from "Any Interface" back to "Eddie", and it works again! I have to do this every time I close my qbit client/turn of PC. I do also confirm that the port on AirVPN's Client Area matches the one in qBitorrent. Then it works again, I'm connected/uploading/downloading and AirVPN's client area confirms that the port is Open. I would just rather not have to go to these steps everytime I close qbit. Could it be that I need to bind to an IP address/(an option I see in qbittorrent) IP address changing depending on the server that I join that makes this happen? Now, I'm not super knowledgeable in this area but I'm constantly trying to learn. So I don't know what I don't know.. If there is any additional information needed that I need to share to troubleshoot, please let me know. And thank you in advance for any help and suggestions.

ANSWERED Port Forwarding Not Working Docker
rockman193 posted a topic in Troubleshooting and Problems
Okay so I'm trying to port forward plex and qbittorrent but testing it using Airvpn returns " Connection timed out (110) " and using https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ tells me that both ports are closed. The setup I have is a bit complicated since Plex and Qbittorrent are running in docker along with an openvpn-client to connect to Airvpn. Docker is running in vm using Fedora CoreOS and the vm is running on a machine with a Fedora Server. I tried different ports, rebooting the machines and temporarily disabling the firewall on the vm and host but its still no working. Also, I'm behind a carrier grade nat but to my understanding that should not affect port forwarding using Airvpn, right? So not exactly sure were the problem is. -
Hi everyone, I'm using AIR for many years. Lately I had to reinstall my windows and had to install the newest versions of my programs. I noticed that there is a big change with my qbittorrent. I set my QBit as in the instructions on the site, set a forward port, made the torrent program use the port etc. Now when I start Qbit my overall download speed just goes down and periodically gets back up again. I tried to install an older version of qbit and when I was not using my forwarded port, the speeds were hi, thus I think that i's an issue with Air. https://airvpn.org/faq/p2p/ Can anyone help? Is there anything I can provide you with that might help?

Recently Qbittorrent has begun locking withing 60 seconds of startup when running Eddie. Even if no torrents are active, it locks up. I am running Fedora 34 and have tried a bunch of kernels and roll backs to no avail. I have downgraded openvpn and qbittorrent (both were updated recently). I even built qbittorrent from source to test. No luck. I have tried upgrading eddie ui to the 2.21 beta and downgrading to 2.16 and 2.18. (Still no positive result) I have tried using just the root user with no torrents, I have tried Fedora 35 beta with the same result. Frankly, I'm stumped. Are there other RPMs I could try downgrading or changing? Anyone else seeing something like this?

ANSWERED Using AirVPN with qBittorrent
AshleyNewVegas posted a topic in Troubleshooting and Problems
Super newbie here, apologies in advance: I'm new to AirVPN and VPNs in general. I'm trying to use qBittorent without any of my information leaking and I don't want lawyers and ISPs sending me letters anymore (got the letters before subscribing to AirVPN). Anyways, I read some tutorials here in setting things up for torrenting but some are old (from 2015) and some things explained were complicating to me. To sum it up- how do I go about setting everything up to torrent? OS: Windows 10 64-bit Location: Germany Firewall: Standard Windows one What I did so far: Went into qBittorrent and changed Global Connection limits and maximum connections to 1250 and 250, unchecked the UPnP/NAT -PMP. Thanks in advance for your help!
