  1. Hi, just an observation that IPleak shows two IP addresses when Chameleon is active. When you turn the plugin off, it only shows the (correct) Netherlans AIrVPN server I have configured. DNSLeak is really clumsy as it shows only the Chameleon IP. WhatsMyIP instread only shows the AitVPN address. Should IPLeak not try to be smarter and not be fooled by Chameleon? Although this makes me think that Chameleon is actually well designed if its hiding my IP so well. Regards
  2. Hello, I reconnected to AirVPN and for the first time ipleak.net show me only one DNS server, I have the confirm that is an AirVPN server but all the other times I got over 50 different DNS. Why this difference? Thanks
  3. I have been using IPLeak.net for over a year. And it has been helpful and correct all that time. I am using the Location Guard add-on to spoof my location. According to other sites similar to ipleak.net, my geolocation matches my spooked location as set in Location Guard. I am also blocking WebRTC. yet ipleak is showing my actual, real physical location. This should not be possible. There must be a bug in your latest code as it relates to geolocation. I have seen other reports on Reddit about this bug but no acknowledgment from IPLeak.net as to what is wrong.
  4. IPv6 IS NOW WORKING AGAIN. 1. Does anyone have an IPv6 address with Lich? I can get one normally with other servers but not Lich. I've messaged support, they said (on December 11 or earlier) that the datacenter had one business day to reply to them about the problem and they confirmed issues with it. But they seem to be ignoring my responses. So do you have IPv6 with this server? 2. Why does IPLeak.com say the long, lat is 0 , 0? I mentioned that in the above mentioned support ticket and it was completely ignored. Dnsleaktest.com says unknown as the location and not United States or something.

    Ipleak showing 3 DNS adresses

When using VPN on Linux with openvpn I get 3 DNS adresses on ipleak.net. 1. AirVpn-Server Exit Ipv4, 2. AirVpn-Server Exit Ipv6 and 3. the residential address of my ISP. Note: This is not my own home IP, but rather the one by my ISP. Should I be worried? Ipv6 is disabled.
  6. ipleak.net relies on using a specific js draft spec that is breaking with previous (and established) ECMAscript standards. The problem is that trailing commas in argument lists and arrow function arguments are not allowed in standard specification JS. Only the non-finalized draft spec for ES2017 allows trailing commas. Browsers which adhere to finalized standards will therefore have a lot of page elements missing on ipleak.net due to the following errors: SyntaxError: expected expression, got ')' index.js:129:12 ReferenceError: IpLeak is not defined ipleak.net:38:0 Please remove trailing commas. Not only is it nonstandard, it's also very sloppy.
  7. Hi, I have an issue with my home network. I have an ASUS RT-AC87U router. I use Expressvpn on the router with polcy routing. My Mac is connected straight to the WAN but I use AirVPN'd client Eddie. I have had no issues with either Expressvpn or AirVPN. Last night I spent serveral hours on my universities website doing work. At the end of the night I decided to just check everything was running ok with the VPN connections. I found no matter what I did (clear caches, delete cookies, check my dns settings, renew the lease etc) this problem persists. My iPhone uses the Expressvpn (openvpn in the router) and my mac uses the AirVPN client eddie. When I run the ipleak.net test I receive 100 DNS errors. I have not changed any settings in the router whatsoever. I've changed nothing. See the screenshots ... (Sweden is AirVPN, US is Expressvpn) Obviously the error is being caused within my router, which I have restarted and checked for a ASUS-WRT Merlin update).
  8. Hello everyone! This is my first post, so keep that in mind. Also, while I have better-than-average I.T. skills, I'm hardly an expert. I have recently encountered several problems, all of which I did not notice until after I installed the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. Note that that does not necessarily mean they weren't present before the update; I just didn't notice them until afterwards. I also have some other questions. 1. If I open Eddie and activate network lock, remain unconnected to a server, attempt to load a webpage, and it doesn't work -- does that definitively mean that Network Lock is working and secure? (Assuming, of course, that it does work with network lock deactivated.) 2. I keep getting the message, "Recovery. Unexpected Crash?" (the question mark is part of the message). 3. I keep getting this message too: "The requested protocol has not been configured into the system, or no implementation for it exists." 4. If I run ipleak.net while connected to an AirVPN server, and: my IPv4 is the AirVPN server, no forwarded IP is detected, IPv6 test is not reachable, RTCPeerConnection is not available, and the DNS addresses are all AirVPN servers -- then am I definitively secured? 5. It appears IPv6 doesn't work (I get the "IPv6 test not reachable" message on ipleak.net) at all times, even if I'm not running Eddie. This was not the case when I first installed and set up Eddie. Toggling Eddie's "Disable IPv6 at OS level if requested" option doesn't seem to make a difference. 6. In Eddie's preferences, under Advanced, for the IPv6 dropdown menu, what's the difference between "None" and "Disable"? 7. What does "Force TAP interface UP" mean? I probably won't have time to check this thread again until Sunday. Thanks a bunch!
  9. Hi guys I always use to check my network info on ipleak.net also to make sure I'm connected to the vpn but, recently, using the Austria servers ipleak.net started to show that I'm connecting from UK. It's not a real problem as long as there are no info discloused about my real IP or provider, but I'd like to understand why that's happening. Andrea
  10. Hi, Have upgraded to latest Eddie 2.11.15 windows 7 x64, and I'm getting weird results from ipleak.net, it's telling me I'm in the UK when Eddie is saying I'm in the Netherlands. Even have the UK blocked in the countries list, as don't want to connect to them with the government being the way they are regards privacy etc. Seems strange to me and has never happened before, is anyone here able to give an explanation as to why this might be, and is it anything to be worried about, do I need to make any alterations to Eddie's settings, or anywhere else on my system. Have included screenshots (a pictures worth!) to help illustrate what I'm on about... Thanks Mines
  11. I am a total noob. I am connected to air vpn and the internet seems to be functioning fine. I did look through the "how to" threads and found them to be very helpful. But....since I am still a noob I need further assistance. -How do I use the service correctly? I'm using safari, normally. Do I need to do anything extra? If airvpn is functioning properly are all my internet activities through safari scrambled? Do I need to do the RNS thing? Should I only use safari? Do I need to do anything special when using Tor? I am aware that I cannot torrent through tor? -When I do the ipleak test my IP address does not come up. It confirms the server I selected. Is there anything else I should be looking for? I'm also slightly bewildered about the "Network Lock" function. Should I be using it? -I am primarily using a vpn to torrent. If I pass my ipleak test is there anything else I need to do to remain anonymous? Am I good to go at that point? I was planning on using Pirate Bay on safari. is that a good combination? I'm pretty sure I changed the port correctly. when looking at my speeds they spike and drop down to zero. Is this the standard for speed I should be expecting? I tried a test torrent and a 15 song album took about 5 minutes. I haven't done any torrenting in about 8 years so I'm unsure if that is normal. I would like to optimize my torrent speeds, though. Is there anything a noob like myself could do to optimize my speeds through qbittorrent? I apologize if this post is redundant or annoying. Thanks in advance to any and all for help/advice. Here are my logs..hope it is formatted correctly. 12. For some reason, I can't access ipleak.net at all, whether or not I'm connected to a VPN server. This is baffling me- I've used the site many times in the past to check my connection. Now I get a DNS error. (DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN) How should I troubleshoot this?
  13. On the result page of on https://ipleak.net there is a referens to "AirVPN Exit Node". What is an "AirVPN Exit Node"? Why does ipleak.net check for "AirVPN Exit Node", is it a security/privacy issue in some way? Who becomes an "AirVPN Exit Node"? And under which circumstances could/will this happen? What is the result/impact/downside of being an "AirVPN Exit Node"? Will it limit functionality/access or anything else that would be available otherwise? If being an "AirVPN Exit Node" is a "bad" thing, can it then be avoided? is there any documentation available on "AirVPN Exit Node"?
  14. Hi there, I would like to inform the staff that I have found a bug in the ipleak.net website (Which I think is run by AirVPN staff) When I am connected to the Mekbuda server, and I visit ipleak.net, it says "M247 - Residential", instead of "M247 - AirVPN Server (Exit)" like all the other AirVPN servers do. Also, if you scroll down on that page, it says "AirVPN Exit Node: No" which is incorrect. Screenshots:
  15. Hi there everyone! Today I was runnning netstat -nbt on CMD in Windows with the intent to get the IP address of a game server I was connected to. But as I scrolled down, I saw this: [skype.exe] TCP 10.4.50.209:4855 xxx.xx.x.xxx:8080 ESTABLISHED The xxx.xx.x.xxx is my real IP address (I was running this command while connected to AirVPN). I wasn't sure if this was normal for my IP to appear here, so I ask everyone here. Is it normal to be seeing my real IP address in netstat -nbt? If not, how can I prevent it?
  16. https://www.perfect-privacy.com/blog/2015/12/21/wrong-way-security-problem-exposes-real-ip/ @AirVPN Does your client handle this problem with the Network Lock?
  17. Hi, I was connected to Phaet (NL) (automatically as best server at the time), checked ipleak.net as always and the results were that my IP was now defined in London (UK). Is this an expected behavior? I doubt.
  18. Hey, Serpentis doesn't show up as an AirVPN Exit Node on ipleak.net Also Ubuntu still uses localhost as the DNS server if connecting to AirVPN via OpenVPN (I can't use the client anywhere except home or it will fail to load the server list and therefore not connect)
