  1. of course. I can't wait for the release of the new software which should be better about this problem.
  2. Okay, thanks for letting me know, I should not worry. no, that's not the place to insert verb 4. Sorry, like this ? http://imgur.com/a/jBmAz If so : http://pastebin.com/SMB2N9nF two thoughts. what type of internet connection do you have? cable, fiber, DSL? try putting "mssfix 0" in the same place as you put "verb 4" and see if you still get the errors.
  3. arjanvirdi, thanks. but, that doesn't have all the info I was looking for due to the default verbosity setting of the log. if you can insert "verb 4" (without the quote marks) into the custom directives field in advanced preferences/settings that should do it.
  4. arjanvirdi, you should post here a log that shows the start up of the AirVPN client until connection to a server.
  5. I'd love to see your evidence that they are owned by 3rd parties.
  6. https://airvpn.org/topic/20481-suggestion-airvpn-ipv6-support/?hl=ipv6
  7. I run into the same problem every evening - the route to the VPN server is overloaded but other routes are just fine. For me it's cogent's peering/transit with comcast.
  8. Online Members: 13193 - BW: 44135 Mbit/s it's blowing up!

  10. wow, 12885 users online as I write this.
  11. is this correct? good idea to make an alias. looks correct to me.
  12. need to create a corresponding firewall rule in LAN section to allow outbound too, right?
  13. are you disconnecting from the VPN server and shutting Eddie down gracefully prior to restarting your PC?
  14. could it be a hard drive cache flushing problem or the like?
  15. I've always had that management info in my openvpn logs in pfense.
  16. my suggestion is to choose a server that works best for you and use its IP address specifically. That flows into the next question. Test different *locations* and ports and protocols to see which ones give you the best performance. This will largely be affected by your route to that datacenter. Your max line speed isn't very high to begin with if you really meant megabits/second so unless you're using really weak hardware in your pfsense box you should be able to reach close to 20mbit/s on the VPN.
  17. probably better to ask these questions at the asus-merlin forums http://www.snbforums.com/forums/asuswrt-merlin.42/ since they are technical questions about your router and not really AirVPN specific. I think your router should be able to do better than 20mbit/s (60mbit/s is my guess at max possible) but first make sure there's not another bottleneck in the path from you to the server. Have you tried testing from a PC using Eddie?
  18. I can't see anything wrong with my trace route. Is there supposed to be something here that tells me if there is packet loss? you could try winmtr http://winmtr.net/ or pathping http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles-tutorials/trouble/Using-Pathping.html
  19. I often have speed problems myself and when I test SSL the SSL tunnel it's worse, just like your experience. It's usually the transit/peer provider that's struggling, not my ISP. Have you tried only the same location or many different locations? The goal is to find a server that is learned by a different transit/peer provider than the one that's giving you problems.
  20. if you're using Eddie, the AirVPN software, it uses Air DNS by default. Micro Routing is done automatically for media providers for which Air has provided support. That means you could connect to any VPN server and micro-routing works. If your French media provider isn't working then create a post in the blocked web sites section of this forum describing what it is you'd like them to micro-route to you.
  21. you must be using Air DNS is the only requirement besides being connected to a VPN server.
  22. and now I see we're over 12268 online as I write this. Air is growing!
  23. but the point is that it changes often. it may be unique but if it changes upon the next visit to that site doesn't that do the job?
  24. just went to download a torrent and ran into some problems for the first time using qbittorrent on Mint 18. First I tried Rasalgethi, then Pollux. On both no DHT nodes were available. I connected to a Toronto server and there were plenty. I hope this doesn't become the norm for USA servers.
