I get a few services/sites blocking me from time to time, but never a problem with username/password. It's always a clear "you're blocked because you're on a block list", or the site doesn't respond, or 403 error.

So far I like Quantum's speed, though I disagree with their statement that it saves memory.

I'm using it, though I do feel a little naked not having some of the add-ons I liked. Namely, Ssleuth and Privacy Settings are missing for me. I think Privacy Settings will come along. But, SSleuth won't work unless Mozilla add a missing API.

It seems I got it fixed. Perhaps some problem with previous settings and how they were used in the new version.

My suggestion is for you to use Asus Merlin firmware, where you get much more control over openvpn. There you can specify what DNS you want to use. My thoughts are you're having a DNS problem.

Since you're running openvpn on your router you must forward port from TUN to LAN. Port forwarding GUI in router creates rules that go from WAN to LAN. You'll have to create rules with iptables.

curious. I don't get the whole ipv6 need. are there sites you can access only via ipv6?

The remote host/IP Address will be the IP address of the server you want to connect to. Leave remote network IP address and netmask blank as those are passed by DHCP.

All that does is choose the least busy server at the time of connection. It knows nothing of which one is actually best for you. If the connection goes down, then your firewall rules should prevent any traffic you don't desire. But, check out the stats for those servers. They rarely go down.

Well, if somebody's max speed is only 30mbit/s then an AC68 will do just fine.

That's not a trivial matter unless the tomato developers have coded a GUI for routing policy creation. If you have an asus router I suggest Merlin Asus firmware, as he's created such a thing, accessible in each openvpn client.

What router are you using?

There's an option to allow local network even with the network lock on. That should work. Try that without adding any extra routes. If local network is allowed and you're adding local routes that may cause a problem.

If you're using the AirVPN openvpn client (Eddie) then you DO NOT open ports on your router. Plex is giving you the error "could not set virtual servers" ? If so, ask the plex folks.

This is the proper way to exit Eddie, not a workaround.

Yes, turn on the network lock and connect to a server whenever you wish. Then disconnect and close the program properly when you don't want it on.
