  1. I posted instructions on this here https://airvpn.org/topic/17444-how-to-set-up-pfsense-23-for-airvpn/?view=findpost&p=56602 You might look over that and see if anything helps you.
  2. You need to post logs here for us to help you.
  3. All that does is choose the least busy server at the time of connection. It knows nothing of which one is actually best for you. If the connection goes down, then your firewall rules should prevent any traffic you don't desire. But, check out the stats for those servers. They rarely go down.
  4. Well, if somebody's max speed is only 30mbit/s then an AC68 will do just fine.
  5. Yep, that one is slow for openvpn. What speed are you wanting?
  6. all the info will be in the openvpn config files that you can create in your configuration generator. I suggest you select advanced settings, click resolved hosts in ovpn, and separate certs and keys.
  7. That's not a trivial matter unless the tomato developers have coded a GUI for routing policy creation. If you have an asus router I suggest Merlin Asus firmware, as he's created such a thing, accessible in each openvpn client.
  8. There's an option to allow local network even with the network lock on. That should work. Try that without adding any extra routes. If local network is allowed and you're adding local routes that may cause a problem.
  9. If you're using the AirVPN openvpn client (Eddie) then you DO NOT open ports on your router. Plex is giving you the error "could not set virtual servers" ? If so, ask the plex folks.
  10. This is the proper way to exit Eddie, not a workaround.
  11. Yes, turn on the network lock and connect to a server whenever you wish. Then disconnect and close the program properly when you don't want it on.
  12. First thing to do is update to the latest version. See if that works.
  13. If you're sweet something like: 1472 was my magic number... subtract 40 from that. Then under Advanced Config / Custom Options add: mssfix 1432; With luck it'll work for you... A possible problem with this is that by default openvpn uses an mssfix of 1450. Perhaps your test should be done with mssfix 0 in the custom options? Another possible problem is that a ping sent from that web GUI interface probably just goes out the WAN and not the VPN tunnel.
  14. Using the country config does not connect you to the nearest server. It connects you to the least busy server of that country.
  15. With the GUI the IP tables set for network lock are independent of connection status. I guess it's not the same for command line?
  16. Not a gimmick by the usual definition in that I believe this is something novel. A gimmick would be something that's colored by lots of pretty words but is actually a normal function of VPN. It sounds cool to me but I think it might have some frustrating side effects too....difficult for me to explain in writing.
  17. tell me more about iOS 11 leaking real IP.
  18. When you generate configs select the option on the bottom right that says resolved hosts in ovpn file. That way you can connect without having to resolve the server name - it puts IP address in instead of name.
  19. 1) Eddie knows the IP address of the servers and, thus, doesn't need any DNS lookups to connect to servers. If you use the IP address of the server you want in your openvpn client setup, and not the name (e.g. azha.airvpn.org) you will not need DNS lookups either. 2) You can't reach 10.4.0.1 until you're connected to the VPN because that's a private address. It doesn't exist on the internet but in private networks. Remember VPN = virtual private network.
  20. That's exactly what enabling geolocation in browser does. But, you can spoof it with an add-on such as location guard. Otherwise I suggest you disable that setting in your browser.
  21. So, you confirm that going back to a previous version fixes speed problems? If so, Air staff will be very intrigued by this.
  22. What application are you using?
  23. Something is odd as you're not the only one with this complaint lately. The odd thing is that if all settings are the same you shouldn't see a change in speed. Eddie is simply a GUI wrapper for OpenVPN. Is it only coincidence? Have you tried going back to the previous version?
