  1. I don't think it's filtering, because I live in the United States where there are no required filters by the government or anything like that. Also, the router is not using my ISP DNS servers, I have set it to use OpenNIC DNS servers. I know that I haven't set any filtering or anything like that. But if that is the case, is there any way for me to find out if this is happening? I'm not talking about your ISP filtering. I mean you with your setup. But, if you're not, you're not. But, you still might have setup your router to redirect DNS requests to other DNS to opennic DNS. That would mean that openvpn can't connect on UDP 53 unless you bypass the filter.
  2. Likely your router/gateway for your home network is capturing UDP 53 and rerouting such traffic to itself for DNS resolution. Perhaps you've set this up to prevent other DNS from being used, or perhaps it's a method of filtering web content for your home network users.
  3. Is it a mistake that Lepus still shows in the route check page?
  4. What do abuse complaints have to do with the problems?
  5. I'd say they're probably more upset about any problems than we are and are too busy to repeat in here what's already shown on the status page.
  6. Ara had been pretty steady until today. Now it's down with high packet loss. I wonder if the same problem affecting the new Atlanta servers is affecting these Dallas ones? Some new hardware, software, etc.?
  7. I think the problem with some of the new Dallas servers is that databases think they're in another country. That's common for new servers. Previously the IP was used somewhere else. Also, I've noticed that if I use the AirVPN DNS from some of the new servers (Phoenix servers too if I recall correctly) I'm sent to European servers not nearby USA ones.
  8. Explain more. What did you change for the TV that didn't work through AirVPN?
  9. Network lock will not run at installation and by default does not run when the app is started. (you can enable it to run at app startup if you wanted to do so) So, you should be happy with that. I haven't heard much complaining of tap drivers for a while now so the newest one may be OK??? Somebody else will have to answer that specific question.
  10. Pictor went down again with high packet loss after somebody heavily used it. Seems to be a fairly certain pattern with these servers.
  11. html5 geolocation. turn it off, or use location guard (extension) with fixed location in the area of the VPN server.
  12. 1) Selectivity of server locations is a pro, not a con. And live chat support would either be expensive or useless. 2) They don't mention great things such as creating multiple "devices"/keys, port forwarding with dynamic DNS, the best config generator I've ever seen. 3) The alternatives they mention are insulting.
  13. Yea I just noticed the web browsing (page loading) turned to crap on Fafnir which I was getting great speed with speedtest. Frankly my actual ISP speed. All of a sudden no pages would load. :-( Currently trying out Mico in Chicago I guess. Funny isn't said to be Chicago when Speedtests sees the closest test point in MD. Fafnir is currently being used heavily by somebody. Maybe that's why your speed went down? Certainly doesn't look like a problem with that server. Don't know where your seeing that since that stats page shows: "8 / 1000 Mbit/s" and only 37 people connected. Even if someone was heavily using it I highly doubt it would be so much to where a basic web page wouldn't even load. Seems Corvis has a status with High Packet Loss which is why it tanked. Fafnir just updated with low packet loss. I expect this to become more widespread since they all have been problematic this morning. You must have missed it because for a while it was over 800mbit/s usage, with one person in the top 10 speed section at 380mbit/s on Fafnir. Then a couple minutes later it was very little usage.

  15. These servers have been good for me until now. Corvus just stopped giving access to the internet. I couldn't ping an IP or anything. But, I could still ping the VPN gateway, so the tunnel was up. Connected to a different location for now.
  16. Yep, some devices work against us. With the recent changes to add the ability to stream Netflix again I've seen two devices (shield tv and apple tv) that work great, including Amazon. But, a roku ultra doesn't. So, who knows? I'm grateful to have AirVPN anyway.

  18. ipleak.net seems to not know what to do with these new servers. Thanks.
  19. I guess I shouldn't have said anything. Now a whole lot more servers fail besides the Phoenix ones. Is anything being changed that's causing this or is it my ISP? Nope, I'm having sudden problems with constant disconnects to all servers in the US right now... Canada is fine tho. I'm not talking about connections failing. Just the route checking to my WAN IP.
