    Update on Netflix USA access

@huckleberrybear88 Hello! Unfortunately, our OpenVPN 3 library, and/or an app based on it, is not planned for iOS currently, as GPL and similar licenses remain incompatible with the Apple store terms. Obviously we can not legally close the source code or provide a binary without source code or modify the license of the source code our apps are based on (not even if we wanted, and we don't), so we can't do anything for iOS in this case. The issue has been brought into light by FSF itself in 2010: https://www.fsf.org/blogs/licensing/more-about-the-app-store-gpl-enforcement and raised a lot of attention again when Apple took down VLC from the store. It is periodically debated, for example here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=12827624 That's also the reason for which openvpn-connect is the only app to use OpenVPN in iOS devices from the Apple Store (as the conditions enforced by OpenVPN Technologies to the commits by anyone is that they can change the license, close the code, redistribute it for their commercial purposes etc). Kind regards

The discussion about Eddie has become a real hot topic in the past weeks. And understandably so, given the fact that "Eddie" is a core element of the whole service and a highly sophicticated one too. But i think that one has to consider the fact that AIR has to develop software for 4 OS'es (WIndows, Linux, Mac and Android) if i am not mistaken. That's a hell lot of work to do and it takes lots of time to develop a fully functioning client from scratch. There are other VPN services out there that give a shit about their client, hell, they don't even have one for Linux, let alone for Mac OS X. The community itself is a little "spoiled" in this regard, if i may say so. I am a bit impatient too and i am awaiting the release of the new client quite eagerly. But it doesn't help much if the community puts pressure on the devs. If they release the new client too early with a lot of bugs, then the community complains about a buggy client, and all hell breaks loose. So just let the devs make their job and i am confident that a new version is coming soon. Regards, BB

Hello Notgund1, I am by no means an expert, but If you want someone to be able to help you, they will need more information. Like the operating system you are using, and logs from Eddie so they can figure out the reason why it is happening to you. Have you tried using different ports and connection protocols, to see if it still happens? Just out of curiosity?

How strange, I see the staff are replying to other threads, but the one that's critical of them...Silence... I mean, it's clear for all to see: They've entirely given up on Eddie for desktop, they KNOW it's broken and they have willingly ignored issuing patches instead favoring broken software (If you can install Eddie on Ubuntu 18.04 desktop then great, because when it loads for me it just crashes). So great job Air, thanks for supporting the people who fund your business. It's great to see you'd rather get involved with political nonsense rather than making your own damn software functional. ProMIND does an amazing job (although the Android version needs some improvements), so what is Clodo doing to actually get the new version out there? Because we're a month from 12 months of NO UPDATES. 1 year. NO UPDATES. Jesus.

Because it sure feels like they have, all we're hearing is it's "coming soon", but there's never any detail of what's coming or exactly when... I ask because the staff may be seemingly unaware that Eddie is completely broken on Ubuntu 18.04 and seemingly no care is taken to ensure a software that hasn't been updated in almost a year works. It's not okay to not update your major software for almost a year - at least issue patches and updates whilst working on the newer version.
