    So long, airvpn...

To the great staff and founders and the helpful (non-toxic) community, Recent unanticipated life things are forcing me to cut all but the most essential things from my "budget," which is not much. I've been using the veep for nearly 8 years, that's a long time to stick with a single service in internet time. I have recommended airvpn countless times and continue to do so, often in the same breath as "...but there's also ProtonVPN and Mullvad, and Duckduckgo which I have yet to try." In other words, airvpn is always at the top of recommendations. I still believe in the essential mission and need of services like AirVPN. When you find how difficult it is to actually research corporate VPNs like Nord, which do not have the best track record, it can be difficult because their parent companies own some of the top review outlets (PC Magazine, tomshardware) or influence them with ad revenue. Even the "anti-scammer" youtube celebrities take sponsorship deals from sketchy or at least unverifiable VPN companies, because Nord and Express and Ghost etc. aren't open source, so we have to rely on a fly-by-night "auditing authorities," which don't answer to regulations or transparent oversight either. It's a battle not many people feel is worth paying attention to, but I have tried. You will find my trails of AirVPN recommendations across forums over the past 7 years, and I hope they helped. Maybe I'll be back in a month. Maybe a year. I don't know with my life right now. Goodbye! Gow

Hello! We're very glad to inform you that Eddie Android edition 3.2.1 is available. This is a hot fix release addressing specific issues and improving overall usage: fixed a bug which caused an anomalous situation and a long delay when the user tried to connect to a specific server or area when no network is available removed the option to disable Eddie's Persistent Notification, as disabling the persistent notification is now strongly deprecated for any VPN app because of the dangerous instability to the VPN tunnel it causes fixed traffic volume counter variable overflow Eddie Android edition is free and open source software offering a comfortable GUI for both WireGuard and OpenVPN3-AirVPN library. Hello! Yes, that's probably why it is no more available. It was a FAQ and then removed as outdated. @Abstain9194 please ignore the out of date recommendation. Kind regards

Aah, please don't use ipv6-test.com anymore, it's been severely undermaintained for at least two years now. The v6 tests work maybe 10% of all times, and even the v4 tests are very slow to show. Kind of a bane to quote a post from five years ago; I wasn't even sure those Firefox options were still in effect but at least they still are. Day by day it seems nothing is changing but look back and everything is different.

Split from Not A, you need a CNAME pointing at a DDNS name from AirDNS. In the DDNS field, enter some name, like "testtest". Then point some CNAME RR to that DDNS name. website.mydomain.tld. CNAME testtest.airdns.org. Connect to the website via website.mydomain.tld:2688 or :4414

There was some form of discussion at the end there which turned a bit toxic, if I remember correctly. netsh interface ipv6 show prefixpolicies looks very similar.

@Abstain9194 Hello! We see the issue on that topic which is no more accessible by normal users, we must check with the web site maintainers, maybe there's a logic reason for this choice or maybe it's an error. In the meantime, if you run specific browsers on Mac and Windows here's the message posted by @OpenSourcerer as a solution at the time (August 2019, and limited to the mentioned browsers): Kind regards

New US 10Gb/s servers poor availability

Hello! A relevant part of the infrastructure in the USA has been under attack in the last 48 hours. The redundancy is currently guaranteeing the usual high quality of service: 200'000 Mbit/s are available and distributed throughout the whole USA territory. The uptime of the new 10 Gbit/s servers in Arizona and California is 100% so check your facts. Everything can be improved and we will work to improve, 14 years of experience are not chicken feed. In the meantime please take note that in the last 8 months the Tzulo infrastructure, provisioning connectivity to Polis and NYC servers you mention with disgraceful disdain and superficiality, as well as other servers in strategic areas of the USA, has been consistently providing the top speed in the world to AirVPN clients often beating the old "all time high" of 1 Gbit/s on the client side (2 Gbit/s on the server) with WireGuard. (EDIT: the current ATH is 1.5 Gbit/s client side). Kind regards

That feature was a godsend when I moved to qB many years ago from uTorrent. It completely obsoleted the need for any kind of "kill switch", especially the one provided by the VPN client I used in my Windows days, which essentially was just an OpenVPN feature wrapped in a fancy GUI. Man oh man, that was almost 11 years ago…

Oh, right, you just generally wrote you were using a BitTorrent software, not qBittorrent in particular. Okay, if it's really the BitTorrent client from BitTorrent Ltd., then it does not support binding to an interface. You must enter the IP address of the VPN interface (the one starting with 10.x.x.x), but I don't recommend you do that because this one changes with generally every connection; you'd be playing whack-a-mole with the mentioned net.bind_ip setting. I seriously recommend qBittorrent going further, and not simply because it's open source.

I am on Verizon Fios. Traffic to a new (Tzulo) server is routed through NTT for me, where the previous (M247) went through Lumen.

These replacement servers are extremely slow and only appear to have only 20% the speed of the previous NYC servers (Haeduis, Ikill, etc). What gives????
