Hello! DNS management has been improved in Eddie 2.24.2 beta version. Some systemd-resolved questionable working modes are now handled more properly. Since Ubuntu latest releases have systemd-resolved installed and running by default, can you please test the new Eddie and check whether the problem gets resolved? Please see here: https://airvpn.org/forums/topic/57401-eddie-desktop-224-beta-released/ An alternative is disabling systemd-resolved to revert back to a more robust, UNIX-like DNS management. https://gist.github.com/zoilomora/f7d264cefbb589f3f1b1fc2cea2c844c Please let us know whether or not the suggestion you will adopt solves the problem. Kind regards

Hello! Thank you for linking to this interesting and well written article. Yes, it has been highlighted by Windscribe, by us, and by multiple sources as early as 2022. For example: https://airvpn.org/forums/topic/53136-vpn-companies-relationship-mesh/?tab=comments#comment-189777 and you may also like to check the search results: https://airvpn.org/search/?q=crossrider The company name, VAT ID and the Registration Code at the Chamber of Commerce of Italy is written at the bottom of each web site page. Through the European Commission VIES you can verify the company data by entering the VAT ID: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/#/vat-validation If you have a subscription to a business intelligence and analytics reporting companies, for example Dun & Bradstreet, you can also get more information such as business reliability, solvency and so on, which, when correlated to other information, for example donations to specific organizations, can provide you with at least clues of what you may look for. Kind regards

    UA: Server withdrawal announcement

Hello! We're sorry to inform you that Altais (Kiev, Ukraine) has been canceled by the service provider due to our refusal to provide 100% warranty that non-permitted activities will ever take place on the server, which is of course an impossible commitment not only for VPN but for any ISP providing private citizens with any online service in general. We're also sorry to inform you that we have no plans at the moment to rent new servers in Kiev or anywhere else in Ukraine because of various factors, among which the behavior of local police (remember in the past the request for bribes masked as fines to unlock servers) and the unreliability of local datacenter managers, which seem to be used to cancel services without notification and without refunds. Over the past decade, the behavior of Ukrainian datacenters and local authorities has brought nothing but inconvenience to our customers, so it is time to (at least temporarily) suspend operations there. Kind regards AirVPN Staff

    UA: Server withdrawal announcement

As it is, it is almost impossible for internet companies to keep a stable, long-term presence free of harassment in nations in or adjacent to CIS region, even ones not at war. In any case, I'd rather a provider withdraw from a country entirely than submit to its corruption to remain. AirVPN made a sound decision imho.

ANSWERED No Servers in France ?

Wrong. There is a difference between censorship and illegal content. Americans cannot understand this nuance because of the 1st Amendment that allows everything. Laws banning illegal content are NOT censorship. In our country, advocating Nazism, publicly inciting the hijacking of planes to crash into buildings, advertising sects, or publishing suicide tutorials, that's not legal and therefore the public publication of this type of content is forbidden. As I said, in a country practicing censorship, you CANNOT consult media other than those controlled by the government, you CANNOT consult foreign media. Here, we can !!! “you cannot consult foreign sites that you do not even know exist” that is a false argument. Nothing stops you from reading articles in any newspaper, doing all the Google searches you want. In our country if you don't know the existence of a subject, NOBODY stops you from learning about it and finding out about it. Furthermore, the ramblings about France are biased because the example of Rumble is not just illegal in France but throughout Europe. I will not continue any further on this stupid subject, the allegations you are making about my country, which you clearly do not know, are infamous and borderline racist.

ANSWERED No Servers in France ?

Let's be clear. French web isn't closed, we can consult foreign websites unlike in North Corea, Russia or China. Name me any propagandized country who allows his people to consult other medias. Telling we wouldn't see anything is insulting our intelligence. Why don't we talk about US government who wants to ban TikTok, like Huawei and many others ? The difference between Rumble in France and Tiktok in US is pretty simple. Tiktok didn't boke US laws so the government had to find excuses related to "national security". Rumble hosts prohibit contents according french and european laws. France asked to Rumble to remove these contents (accounts belonging to russian medias doing disinformation (these medias are not only banned in France but also in whole Europe), to far right ppl, etc...). In France you're not allowed to publish anti-semitic speech in front of a nazi flag and that's normal. Sorry to tell you but it's the only truth, there's no conspiracy theory in this affair.
