fl4shm4n 0 Posted ... Hi, When I try to use the Tor (by enabling the AirVPN Preferences->Protocols ->Tor) settings AirVPN can no longer connect to a server (normally one based in the Netherlands). When I run the Tot Test in AirVPN I get the message: "TOR Test: Unable to communicate with TOR (Unable to find your TOR path.). Is TOR up and running?" I have checked that the SOCKS in Tor matches AirVPN. I noticed this started happening a couple of Tor updates ago but as I don't use Tor very often I thought it was a temporary glitch. The only way to run Tor with AirVPN is not to enable the Tor option in the Protocols section of AirVPN but I reading this forum I think that is not recommended as it creates problems for the AirVPN servers being flagged as Tor Exit nodes? This is happening on two computers, both have had Tor deleted and re-installed. Any ideas? Quote Share this post Link to post

But try to make sure that you're using the most updated versions of Eddie & Tor, as it should work out of the box. No the Tor exit nodes thing is if you run an actual Tor node, while using AirVPN - that would create problems for AirVPN. I assume you installed Tor at its default location too.As you can see here, both ways work and there's pros and cons to each. Kind regards I also have this problem since Tor Browser 6.0x was installed, and requested a support ticket some time ago. Yesterday I tried to install Eddie 2.11beta, but the same problem exists.
