When I'm using AirVPN, most simple IP tests report I'm in the netherlands, as I intend with my VPN. However, DNS leak tests can reveal my home IP address.

Why is this happening? I'm using the eddie client and have all the settings set to the default ones.

Hello!

Please enable Network Lock from the Overview tab in Eddie.

Do also try out ipleak.net

Moderators do not speak on behalf of AirVPN. Only the Official Staff account does. Please also do not run Tor Exit Servers behind AirVPN, thank you.

ipleak reports the same problem, network lock throws an error:

/usr/bin/iptables-save: unknown option --wait

Your iptables version does not support --wait, consider to upgrade to Eddie 2.14.2beta which does not use this option anymore with iptables. Since DNS leaks do not exist in Linux, the thread subject is misleading and the problem could lie somewhere else. Last but not least, it is odd that a DNS test shows your public residential IP address, are you running a DNS server in your local network?

Kind regards

the beta client won't run for me, is there a way to do network lock manually?
