ANSWERED Latest (linux) Experimental not 2.11.10?

Recommended Posts

I saw the release notes updated for 2.11.10, but after I downloaded and installed, Help...About still shows 2.11.9.  Have the downloadable bits not been updated for linux yet?  I'm not complaining, just want to make sure I'm not going mad.

Thanks.

Hello,

Eddie 2.11.10 is not public, it's only used internally. If nothing goes severely wrong the binaries will be made public very soon.

Kind regards

Thanks.  Is there any way for us to know when that happens?  The download page doesn't indicate the specific version being downloaded, only that it's 'experimental' and only the major.minor version is indicated in the file name.

Hello!

The short answer to that is: No.

The long answer to that is: Noooooooooo.

It's only if Air tells us, which they either don't, can't or won't most of the time, in my [limited] experience - I think it's because they like to surprise us! . They know about the filename thing. I recommend taking the same sort of stance to this as you would with a box of chocolates: you never know what you're going to get, but hey, it's still chocolate in the end yay! : D

Haha.

Yes, of course. As usual, any new Eddie version is announced in the "News and Announcement" forum. As long as Eddie 2.11.x remains beta, follow the thread pertaining to Eddie 2.11 beta. Release of the stable version will be announced in a separate thread too. We also provide RSS feed.

Kind regards
