reminder eddie win firewall deactivation problem

Hello guys,

 

for me the win firewall deactivation problem after disabling network lock is still alive and it sucks hard.

As far as i know there is no suitable workaround from staff so far.

Anyone else is still having that problem?

 

1. Win Firewall on

2. Start Eddie

3. Activate Network Lock

4. Connect to Server

5. Close Eddie / Disconnect and disable NL

6. Win Firewall is not restored and is deactivated

Are you using the latest stable version of Eddie? If so, perhaps you should check out the beta version .

A very rare Windows bug since it has never been reproduced in our machines. Reported anyway by another user who solved it with system re-installation (not very useful...), probably a broken update consequence. Hopefully solved by new Windows Filtering Platform used in the Eddie 2.11.x versions.

I also suffered from this bug on my WIN 7 Laptop. How I finally solved it ?

 

I switched to Linux!

thats probably the best solution, but i need at least one copy of windows for specific tasks

Yes, even in tickets, and above all we have never been able to reproduce it.

Simply go to the place you first downloaded the client and look for something mentioning "Other version" or something to that effect. Then download the experimental version
