  2. Good day, First of all I am running Ubuntu 14.04 on my laptop. What I want to achiev is to connect to tor via Airvpn. (That's the safest setup way, am I right?). Problems that I occure: To connect to Tor, I need to setup proxy in Airvpn client. Ant then use data in Tor configuration and achieve connection. Airvpn client without proxy setting works flawless. After I turn on proxy (socks5), I cant connect to server, I get reconnect loop, log: I 2015.03.09 11:03:54 - AirVPN client version: 2.8.8, System: Linux, Name: Ubuntu 14.10 \n \l, Architecture: x86 . 2015.03.09 11:03:54 - Reading options from /home/vibe/.airvpn/AirVPN.xml . 2015.03.09 11:03:56 - Data Path: /home/vibe/.airvpn . 2015.03.09 11:03:56 - App Path: /usr/lib/AirVPN . 2015.03.09 11:03:56 - Executable Path: /usr/lib/AirVPN/AirVPN.exe . 2015.03.09 11:03:56 - Command line arguments (1): path="/home/vibe/.airvpn" . 2015.03.09 11:03:57 - Operating System: Unix 3.16.0.23 - Linux Q 3.16.0-23-generic #31-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 21 18:00:35 UTC 2014 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux . 2015.03.09 11:03:57 - Updating systems & servers data ... 3. Hi everybody I don't want to open a ticket just for that so i ask here. I'm not a expert in tunneling or VPN. I was using during a year airvpn with my Xubuntu machine without problem. A simple " sudo openvpn myfile.ovpn" was ok to connect me. But not anymore now i have some error message at the end of the process. sudo openvpn AirVPN_Europe_TCP-443.ovpn Wed Dec 24 07:07:33 2014 OpenVPN 2.3.2 x86_64-pc-linux-gnu [SSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [EPOLL] [PKCS11] [eurephia] [MH] [IPv6] built on Dec 1 2014 Wed Dec 24 07:07:33 2014 WARNING: file 'user.key' is group or others accessible Wed Dec 24 07:07:33 2014 WARNING: file 'ta.key' is group or others accessible Wed Dec 24 07:07:33 2014 Control Channel Authentication: using 'ta.key' as a OpenVPN static key file Wed Dec 24 07:07:33 2014 Outgoing Control Channel Authentication: Using 160 bit message hash 'SHA1' for HMAC authentication Wed Dec 24 07:07:33 2014 Incoming Control Channel Authentication: Using 160 bit message hash 'SHA1' for HMAC authentication Wed Dec 24 07:07:33 2014 Socket Buffers: R=[87380->131072] S=[16384->131072] Wed Dec 24 07:07:38 2014 Attempting to establish TCP connection with [AF_INET]37.48.80.131:443 [nonblock] Wed Dec 24 07:07:39 2014 TCP connection established with [AF_INET]37.48.80.131:443 Wed Dec 24 07:07:39 2014 TCPv4_CLIENT link local: [undef] Wed Dec 24 07:07:39 2014 TCPv4_CLIENT link remote: [AF_INET]37.48.80.131:443 Wed Dec 24 07:07:39 2014 TLS: Initial packet from [AF_INET]37.48.80.131:443, sid=5518b3c7 aaf71d00 Wed Dec 24 07:07:39 2014 VERIFY OK: depth=1, C=IT, ST=IT, L=Perugia, O=airvpn.org, CN=airvpn.org CA, emailAddress=info@airvpn.org Wed Dec 24 07:07:39 2014 Validating certificate key usage Wed Dec 24 07:07:39 2014 ++ Certificate has key usage 00a0, expects 00a0 Wed Dec 24 07:07:39 2014 VERIFY KU OK Wed Dec 24 07:07:39 2014 Validating certificate extended key usage Wed Dec 24 07:07:39 2014 ++ Certificate has EKU (str) TLS Web Server Authentication, expects TLS Web Server Authentication Wed Dec 24 07:07:39 2014 VERIFY EKU OK Wed Dec 24 07:07:39 2014 VERIFY OK: depth=0, C=IT, ST=IT, L=Perugia, O=airvpn.org, CN=server, emailAddress=info@airvpn.org Wed Dec 24 07:07:42 2014 Data Channel Encrypt: Cipher 'AES-256-CBC' initialized with 256 bit key Wed Dec 24 07:07:42 2014 Data Channel Encrypt: Using 160 bit message hash 'SHA1' for HMAC authentication Wed Dec 24 07:07:42 2014 Data Channel Decrypt: Cipher 'AES-256-CBC' initialized with 256 bit key Wed Dec 24 07:07:42 2014 Data Channel Decrypt: Using 160 bit message hash 'SHA1' for HMAC authentication Wed Dec 24 07:07:42 2014 Control Channel: TLSv1, cipher TLSv1/SSLv3 DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA, 4096 bit RSA Wed Dec 24 07:07:42 2014 [server] Peer Connection Initiated with [AF_INET]37.48.80.131:443 Wed Dec 24 07:07:44 2014 SENT CONTROL [server]: 'PUSH_REQUEST' (status=1) Wed Dec 24 07:07:44 2014 AUTH: Received control message: AUTH_FAILED Wed Dec 24 07:07:44 2014 SIGTERM[soft,auth-failure] received, process exiting Can anyone help me for that? 4. Hi, I have a curios problem on Win7 x64 and no more ideas. Maybe someone can help ? I have a laptop with a freshly installed Windows 7 x64 and using the AirVPN software. I come to the point where it says "connect to ......" and nothing more. After 20-30 seconds it does a retry and so on. The funny thing is I can connect with my smartphone without any problems (Android, using OpenVPN, UDP 443). Let's make long story short. My test results are: - At home I can connect via smartphone but not via Laptop - But shouldn't be a Laptop problem because it works at work. - I tried several different VPN servers and countries. - I tried OpenVPN with the same result (can't connect). The log is shown below. - I tried it via WLAN and LAN. Same result - Internet works without problems - I checked some network settings. I'm using automatic IP address and have no proxy. - Switched off Firewall. Doesn't help. - Did a reinstall without success. No more ideas, now. Can someone help ? 6. Hi guys, I set up Comodo Firewall in the way you descriped it on this tutorial https://airvpn.org/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=3&id=3405&Itemid=142 I did everything correctly (I think so) but I'm still leaking DNS. When I access AirVPN homepage via VPNClient it says at the bottom "not connected" Any ideas how to fix this?? I can see my own IP address
  7. Hello, I have a strange problem: I'm using Linux Mint 17 (Cinnamon, 64-bit), no firewall settings applied. After connecting to AirVPN through the network-manager (using .ovpn config file imported) or using "Eddie 2.1 (Portable)" I cannot connect to my Jabber/XMPP profiles (i have two different profiles on two different jabber-servers, including Jitsi). I have tried Pidgin, Gajim and Jitsi. Pidgin cannot login into my accout, Gajim is seems to be connected but no one can see me logged in and I don't see any contacts online, and I cannot send/receive any messages - so I'm accually offline. When I am connected to Jitsi/XMPP account I can see other contacts and they can see me, but I cannot send messages only receive them and I cannot make/receive any calls. In all cases, when I use "Net Activity Viewer" application I see that there is a connection established from local address 10.4.x.x to a jabber-server on a remote port 5222 but still I cannot communicate. I have also tried to flush iptables settings just to be sure - it didn't help. // Just to be clear - I try to connect to XMPP after I have established AirVPN connection. Everything else working but XMPP. When I'm disconnected from AirVPN everything works just fine. // I was using AirVPN under Windows 7 and everything was working (with Comodo anti-leaking Global Rules applied). To be 100% sure, I have tried a clean install of Linux Mint 16 and 17 (both Cinnamon, 64-bit) on a flash drive. The problem repeated. There is more: I have tried to boot from Linux Mint Debian Edition (from a flash drive with installation iso image written on it) - there was NO problem connecting to XMPP accounts under AirVPN connection (using Eddie 2.1 Portable! I just don't know what to think about all of this... some kind of a mystery.
  8. must have RSA 4096 BIt when it doesnt impact performance and doesnt cost then why not ?? it is never been late to do the right thing other VPN giving RSA 4096 since 2013 and so many more and more higher encryption this is more important than Water after dinner and sex after party must have RSA 4096 Bit encryption guys
  9. Hi all, So recently I've started having issues running qBittorrent and remaining connected to AiVPN. If I connect to AirVPN (through the OpenVPN GUI) and just browse then there is no problem, speeds are good and the connection remains constant. If however I launch qBittorrent and download anything, within 3-4 minutes AirVPN drops. I can think of no explanation as to why this is happening - hence this post. I'm running Windows 8, tunneling through a Uni firewall on TCP 443, I've tried routing qBittorrent over a port explicitly opened in the Forward Ports section of AirVPN and through a randomly generated one, in both cases the results are the same. The only other thing to note is that I have modified the connection script slightly to change my DNS server to 10.5.0.1 (AirVPN's DNS) to prevent DNS leaks however like I say when I'm not running qBittorrent the connection doesn't drop, so I don't think this is the problem. It has only appeared in the last 2 weeks or so, prior to that there were no problems at all and I would quite like to get this fixed. Cheers, H. 10. I have a problem with Utorrent and uploading. My internet connection is 50/50 fiber and gives me these speeds. I didn't expect this for VPN, but I do actually get decent download speeds, so that's good. However, I do not manage to upload much at all. I have forwarded a port on from your web-console: 35295. This has then been setup as the listening port in Utorrent. I have turned off all portforwarding for this port or utorrent on the router. Your web-console shows thee port as open, but Utorrent setup guide reports that port is not open. Utorrent seems to be conflicting itself, cause the little checkmark in the bottom right corner turns green. The max speed i have seen uploading so far has been 250kbps or so, very sad story and not usable. I have included 3 screenshots showing my settings, utorrent status and your web-console. I have tried disabling my Comodo firewall just to see if it makes a difference, but it did not. I only use AirVPN for torrents at the moment, so I don't have it enabled all the time. What am I doing wrong, and what can I do to solve it?
  11. Hi! I realised since last OS X Skype version (6.4.0.833) it disconnects the actual connection to Skype servers once I connect to any of our VPN servers. I tried servers in Germany, Sweden and USA and connection drops everytime I connect to them. I worked perfectly with all previous versions of Skype The connection to Skype is restored as soon as I disconnect from vpn. Nothing to say about the rest of my "internet capable" software. All of them work ok. Did anyone experienced anything similiar? Thx in advance!
