Hello, I got a "bootstrap failed" error when starting Eddie. The error occurred roughly a week ago. Eddie is still connecting to servers, but the error remains. I haven't changed anything (nor Eddie, Windows or wifi/internet settings). Also, I want to add, that I am in China (but that wasn't a problem before). Anybody know why this error occurs? Just some personal experience: I am in China for a year now (and using Airvpn for the whole time). You don't need another service. Works without a problem (via SSL or tls-crypt) on windows, android and ios.

Again thank all of you. The log helps my paranoia a lot! Also thank you for the detailed answers. I changed / fixed all of the things + checked if I have the newest version. Changed the "Optional IP Adress to bind to" to the shown IP adress. But I just can't find that: Sorry for being to blind or stupid, but there is no tun0 option. Only Ehternet2, Ethernet, Wifi, Loop-Back-Pseudo-Interface and LanConnection*10. Not sure if that's relevant: I did the portforwarding, and everyhting, but my symbol is blue, not green. (Version: v4.0.4)

Hello everybody, it's my first time using torrent, that's why I am a little bit paranoid. I configured everything, port-forwarding, network-lock, checked via IPleak and so on. And everything seems to be fine. But it's odd, that during AirVPN connection the speed of qTorrent is much higher (shouldn't there be no connection at all during that phase?) and afterwards it drops a little. I am not concerned about the speed, just about any IP leaks. I attached screenshots of all my configurations. Can you please check. Maybe i am too paranoid, but better safe than sorry!

Hello everybody, first of all, I love AirVPN, and I will continue to use it. It works perfectly 99,9% of the times. But for these 00,1% I need a good alternative. I am living in China. I need a good VPN for China. Price isn’t important. It would be nice to run on Android and Windows and have a similar excellent policy like AirVPN. Does anybody have a suggestion? (and be sure that it works in China in the year 2018). Thank you very much for your help!

Even though I think it's useless to post something here, because you are not listing to reason. But I say it anyway: My speed is literally the same as without VPN (up to 7-8mb/s). So maybe, just maybe, it could be your (or torrent) fault. Good luck finding a new VPN service. If you would ask politlely the community here could easily help you find and solve the reasons for your problem. Good luck finding that at a different VPN service. Enjoy!

Its always a rollercoaster with the GCFW (chinese firewall). But the last year, no SSL was needed. Especially right now the government drives a harsh course against VPNs and VPN services. But again, the SSL protocol still works. Lets just hope it stays like this.

I am in China right know. Chinese government anounced a strikter VPN ban / firewall. They announced to implement these VPN counter techniques during January and February. I guess this happend last week. Since about 3 days most protocols are not working anymore (except ssl).

Hello everyone, about two days ago China went up against VPNs (I guess). Because since then I have to use the SSL protocol on my computer to connect. Unfortunately on my mobile phone (android) I don't have this option. Are there any suggestions how to solve this? How long does the eddie android app take? (I read Juli 2018, but is there a beta testing channel). I really like airvpn, I don't want to look for another service. Thanks for your help!
