Regarding this specific data point, it doesn't say anything. I can be on vacation in Poland and use the de-DE language setting, or I as a German live in Poland but don't want to use pl-PL. A block based on this data point doesn't make sense, you'd hurt the normal users much more than VPN users. Keep in mind though that websites have access to all sorts of info on the browser and system simply by using JavaScript. A tiny fraction of that is extracted and shown to you by IPLeak. If you combine some of these exposed data points, you might get restricted access. But usually the only websites doing that are those that have something to lose if people pretend to be somewhere else, such as VoD.

That domain isn't even accessible from my ISP line, so there's that. The sole purpose of the rerouting is geolocation blocks: Connect to Germany, and when you want to watch Swiss TV you don't need to reconnect to Switzerland. If the demand is extremely popular, such as with Binance, there can be exceptions, and as we all know, exceptions confirm the rule.

@yoyall afaik NL still has somewhat favorable legislation for ISPs / end users / hosting services. NL servers have low cost of ownership too, because a lot of traffic is exchanged there, it's a hotspot. Only few other countries come close if we don't regard third world countries for this purpose. PS: My advice about a blocklist from above sources still stands.

RT blocked from some EU servers

As someone who has worked internationally, I get my news from multiple sources: DW(Germany), The National(UAE), Global Times (China), Citizens Free Press (US), along with several others. THEY ALL HAVE PROPAGANDA. So what's important to me is to "triangulate" on the truth as much as possible. It's pretty easy to detect most of the bulls$^&t, but there is some sneaky stuff out there that no one will know unless you're on the inside. Anyway, the point is that there's no single source of "truth". It's best to gather as many of what appears to be the facts, and make your own mind up. All of that said, I had rt.com as one of my news sources too, so I'm bummed I can't see it now.

RT blocked from some EU servers

Hello. Absolutely not. Censorship of any legal free speech is totally unacceptable and must be completely rejected in all cases. If you prevent other people from speaking, you are no better than the ones you claim to be protecting other people from.
