News on CBS, MTV, Hulu and Sweden

With reference to our anti geographical discriminations experimental system, we're very glad to inform you that:

• CBS has been restored and it is now again accessible from all Air servers, regardless of their location
• Hulu has been added successfully to the system and it is now accessible from all Air servers, regardless of their location
• MTV has been added successfully to the system and it is now accessible from all Air servers, regardless of their location

 

It is mandatory to say that all of the above is due to the excellent job and the smart ideas of one single technician.

You forgot to mention how you can now also geographically bypass NBC (Saturday Night Live) and Comedy Central (Stewart and Colbert). I know this is brand new because I tried to access Comedy Central only yesterday and got the familiar message telling me to use the site in my own country, instead. But no more. FINALLY.

 

I know that Air's service was designed around protecting whistleblowers around the world from imprisonment and grievous bodily harm, but these developements are AWESOME!

Nice! We didn't test NBC and Comedy Central ourselves: maybe they use the same other services CDN servers under routing implemented by us.

Please feel free to report any issue (and, of course, if there are additional interesting services that perform geolocation censorship).

Feedback is very important because we can't do automatic reports of working routes (as explained, we can't distinguish automatically a video with people from a video with a red text ) and it is possible that a website can change something that needs routing adjustments from our side.

Another little explanation. For example the three services above are georestricted to the USA. For their websites, we add routing/double-hop from every server to our USA routing-server (see at the bottom here: https://airvpn.org/status/) EXCEPT the US servers, simply to avoid a useless double-hop. The routing US server is not blacklisted, we tested it.

However, we can't test every single US server, and if a US server gets blacklisted we can activate the double-hop also for it. But, as explained above, we can't test every day every server manually, we need your feedback.

comedy central works as well (i recognized that my browser was sending data to mtv.com)
also http://www.southparkstudios.com/full-episodes is accessible (you can watch videos) as long as you dont try to access the front page http://www.southparkstudios.com/ because then you get this thing blocking the hole page

It is mandatory to use one of our VPN DNS (10.4.0.1, 10.5.0.1 etc, see https://airvpn.org/specs) in order to have full access to the additional anti-geo-blocking service.

Hi!

 

I've been trying to connect to either Comedy Central and NBC on native american servers and tried a few other ones outside the US to see if I can cannot to them.  Both are giving me geolocation blocks.  I've checked that my DNS is correct at  -- funny enough I got to watch the Daily show three days ago, but now it's all blocked ... have they figured it all out again? or am I the only one with this problem?  I have also deleted all history and data from my browser, but still to no avail, I also have location services turned off.
