Hello,

the minimization on the system tray when you start the GUI is configured by the "Start minimized" option in Eddie's "Preferences" > "UI" window. Plausibly you have this option enabled on the installing version and disabled on the portable version.

If the app starts minimized you can bring up its main window by operating on its tray icon. Eddie's tray icon is a tiny cloud in a circle.
