Unlimited traffic --> congestion?

Recommended Posts

WindScribe terms say “Unlimited for reasonable personal use”, and as a home VPN user I don´t want to subsidise people who need 10TB/month slowing down servers and increasing prices for others, if you need 10TB/month get a seedbox or VPN business account.

I agree.  AirVPN is getting a reputation as a provider that allows everything but has poor performance because the servers are overloaded.

Hello!

The unlimited traffic has nothing to do with slowing or not slowing down servers. The bandwidth allocation per connection slot as well as the amount of simultaneous connections inside the tunnel originated by each slot are crucial factors in this case and both those variables have been addressed in AirVPN ever since a decade ago. There's no need to limit the traffic in a given time frame for the purpose you mention; in fact, it would be ineffective.
