ANSWERED Moving back to openvpn wireguard is not seamlessly connecting

I don’t know what has changed.. but my router and home network is disconnected from the internet. I checked server status and several servers are offline 
I am connecting to  us3.vpn.airdns.org using wireguard in Opnsense 

this used to round about reconnect but is no longer…. Having a faster connection is nice and all.. but open vpn with the remote command actually reconnects to a different server when one goes down!

WireGuard userspace native utilities do not offer this feature. As a side note, WireGuard features IP addresses roaming and we're not sure whether the ability you require would be compatible with this important feature.
