I wouldn't have imagined it like this Hello and thank you very much! 9 hours ago, Stalinium said: What are the current top arguments for not enabling exit IP selection (pool 1/2)? Not really substantiated arguments, only the generic fear that the support team could be overwhelmed by tickets. In reality, we are already working to migrate toward an easier and even more scalable solution with pools supporting all the protocols and not requiring anymore specific choices by the users. 9 hours ago, Stalinium said: Any service that's not a passive "I will wait for connections from outside" will have automatic WAN IP discovery built in. So once the "exit" IP is not selectable (as it is now), all those programs will not stop advertising, but instead actively advertise the wrong IP (due to default communication). Exactly. The system we're working on aims at getting rid of this relevant problem by dividing users into unique pools and exit-IP addresses, so they will not have to face multiple pools (where pool 1 is "superior" to the other pools) and multiple exit-IP addresses. We see this future new system as a better solution because it will not force choices on pools and IP addresses, and it will be scalable for real: when a pool is close to exhaustion we can just add a new pool and reserve it to future new users. Stay tuned. Kind regards 1 nexsteppe reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post

It's too early to claim anything, given the excellent growth rate of the user base and the rising costs of IPv4 subnets... Stay tuned! Staff 10115 Posted ... Hello! A very important update which improves the system dramatically has been finalized. Now you don't have to worry anymore about pools and p2p programs. Find the new features in the original message. The paragraphs that do not apply anymore appear with strike through characters. The new system is simpler, fully scalable and with zero impact on current and future users. Enjoy AirVPN! I only had forwarded ports within the first pool, however currently I only this pool which means only very few open ports are left Hello! Thank you very much. The system is already operational. You are on pool 1, where you can forward (if needed) all the ports available for your plan and account. Kind regards Quote Share this post Link to post
