Port-Forwarding for https-Webserver

Recommended Posts

Hey there

I'm using your service for a while now and I'm very happy with it. Thanks for the great work.

I still have one unresolved issue which I'm not able to fix: I'm not able to reach my (home)-server (which is the one connected to AirVPN) from the Internet. I set up several port-forwarding rules (e.g. SSH port 20*** to port 22) which are working well, but I'm not able to reach my Apache Server (Ubuntu) (neither on port 80 nor 443)

I set up a port-forwarding rule 50*** to 443, but when I try to connect to it with https://myhomepage.com/:50*** I'm not able to connect.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help.

Cheers

rawdan

Hello!

No problem is detected: your web server answers correctly on

https://<server exit-IP>:<50xxx>

This is the message this admin receives from your web server:

It works!

This is the default web page for this server.

The web server software is running but no content has been added, yet.

Make sure that you're trying to access it on the exit-IP of the server your client is currently connected to.

Kind regards

Hmm, strange. I'm able to reach the webserver, but no other content. Could you try if you can access https://<myip>/remote ? You should land on a logon page... (I was able to access this page before using the VPN, so I guess the problem must be somewhere there... I have set up iptables like this post https://airvpn.org/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=3&id=1713&limit=6&limitstart=30&Itemid=142#2010 mentioned.)

Thanks for your help.
