AirVPN Review: I've been using AirVPN for quite a while under different usernames and wanted to finally make a review for one of the providers that I've used a decent amount. My time with AirVPN started in 2013, sometime around the Snowden revelations. Internet: 500 Mbps and 2 Gbps fiber lines CPU: Various Intel and Apple chips Client: Stock WireGuard client and Eddie Pros: Various ways to connect that are built into the Eddie client Eddie is very customizable so everything can be configured to user's preferences Clearly states what AirVPN stands for Good support via community forum and CS support tickets Port forwarding available Daily updated DNS-based blocklists No 3rd-party analytics Full IPv6 support No weak/insecure VPN protocols that offer a false sense of security Lack of irresponsible marketing No personal information needed for account creation Deals for long-term customers Strict criteria for server quality Neutral: Later WireGuard adoption than competitors Captcha/IP Blocked every five seconds Client and website could get a fresh coat of paint Cons: I don't really like that the login attempts along with the last connection timestamps are logged, same with the device history TL:DR; Air does a lot of things well, that's why I'm still here :) Quote Share this post Link to post
