Aquarii dismissed

Recommended Posts

Hello!

Due to repeated copyright alleged infringement notices (three in one month :D) we have no choice but to dismiss Aquarii (the ISP will shut it down anyway).

Please disconnect from Aquarii as soon as possible.

Kind regards

Hello!

Yes, we should be able to provide more connectivity in Switzerland during the next week.

Kind regards

Sorry to hear about the Swiss server. But considering the rather strict internet laws in that country, I'm not too surprised about their overreaction to petty DMCA complaints. There was even a court ruling in Switzerland in which a WEB SERVER provider was held accountable for failing to keep IP address logs for the mandatory 6-month period. See here:

I'll defer to the admin's judgment on this, but IMO Switzerland probably isn't such a good location for hosting a VPN server after all.

From a P2P tolerance standpoint, I think your best server for filesharing is probably Sweden... followed by Netherlands, Germany, or Luxembourg. I know you guys don't discriminate against traffic, but just as a courtesy to Air I'd assume it would be best to avoid servers in the U.S., U.K., or Switzerland for P2P whenever possible. Is that an accurate assessment?
