Yes you do on the client-side. buffer-size for one:
-------------------
rcvbuf 562144
sndbuf 562144
-------------------

How do you change this. I can only see a drop down box in Eddie that gives me the option upto 512KB

I am using Linux.  Probably does not apply.

512 kibibytes = 562144 bytes. The option you mention is exactly what changes this value for you.

Ah, should've used a calculator before. It's actually 524288 :D But the second sentence is correct and 512 kB comes very close to what you want.

Actually, I just realized, 256 kiB = 262144. Someone simply substituted the 2 with a 5 and called it a day, but that makes the value not be a base 2 number.

Has anyone tried passing these parameters to hummingbird via Eddie? I’m on a Mac, I have Eddie with hummingbird activated and works fine with default settings. I tried adding these as custom OVPN parameters in the Eddie preferences but I don’t see any difference in the logs or VPN performance (in on a gigabit line)

Hello!

Hummingbird uses OpenVPN3-AirVPN library, which leaves dynamic, real time socket buffer adjustment to asio library. Fixed buffer sizes directives are ignored. It's a superior solution.

Kind regards
