Strange Screen When Accessing AirVPN Website?.

Recommended Posts

I have had this strange screen come up when I access the forums from my PC shortcut. Is it genuine perhaps as the mods are doing work on the forums or is it something else?. Screenshot included below.

Hello!

It's normal and is the default screen for when this website is unavailable due to something. Whether it's a poor connection somewhere, DDoS or whatever else.

It usually clears up within a couple of minutes and is nothing to really worry about. It's just an inconvenience :).

Community Mods like myself, Zhang and Giganerd don't do work on the forums that could create such downtime.

Moderators do not speak on behalf of AirVPN. Only the Official Staff account does. Please also do not run Tor Exit Servers behind AirVPN, thank you.
Did you make a guide or how-to for something? Then contact me to get it listed in my new user guide's Guides Section, so that the community can find it more easily.

On the contrary, I wonder more often than not what exactly is going on again everytime I see it.
Another hint: airvpn.info shows the same. Given that it's hosted somewhere else I don't believe it to be a mere DDoS. I think it's somewhere in the backbone, database or something else.

Might be just that.
airvpn.org and airvpn.info show that page if you "fluff" around the forum for too long.
Mostly happens when you connect UDP.

It's been better for me since I made a thread complaining about this problem.  I think staff have done some fixing.  But that's interesting that you note that it happens only when connected by UDP tunnel.

That implies that something is failing with packet fragmentation because we have MTU wrong.
