[SOLVED] AUTH_Failures across every server

Recommended Posts

I signed up for your service today, and am using openvpn on a fedora 17 platform. I have tried connecting to Leonis, Bootis and Sirius servers all with similar results. Of the 6 connections I am trying to male (port 53, 8 and 443 via both TCP and UDP) I get one or sometimes two successful connections. The rest fail after the network connection the this text in /var/log/messages:

Aug 17 20:37:52 fedorainstaller openvpn[3850]: Control Channel: TLSv1, cipher TLSv1/SSLv3 DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA, 2048 bit RSA

Aug 17 20:37:52 fedorainstaller openvpn[3850]: [server] Peer Connection Initiated with 85.17.123.26:443

Aug 17 20:37:54 fedorainstaller openvpn[3850]: SENT CONTROL [server]: 'PUSH_REQUEST' (status=1)

Aug 17 20:37:54 fedorainstaller openvpn[3850]: AUTH: Received AUTH_FAILED control message

Aug 17 20:37:54 fedorainstaller openvpn[3850]: SIGTERM received, sending exit notification to peer

Aug 17 20:37:59 fedorainstaller openvpn[3850]: SENT CONTROL [server]: 'PUSH_REQUEST' (status=1)

Aug 17 20:37:59 fedorainstaller openvpn[3850]: TCP/UDP: Closing socket

Aug 17 20:37:59 fedorainstaller openvpn[3850]: SIGTERM[soft,exit-with-notification] received, process exiting

This appears to be a server side authentication failure. If there was some problem with my certs or key, I would expect the authentication to fail in all cases, and it is not.

What is going on on the server side, and why am I esperiencing these server side authentication failures?

Hello!

Unfortunately we experienced a down on the backend servers for approximately 1 hour which prevented authorizations and front end access. Already connected users were not disconnected. The problem has been detected and fixed, we apologize for any inconvenience.

Kind regards
