robertoohoho 4 Posted ... Hi,Under OS X Mojave, when I launch Eddie, it sets DNS to 10.15.176.1 and fde6:7a:7d20:bb0::1. When I quit it, I'm in network lock mode (ii is not checked in the preferences). If I set another DNS (I use Open DNS 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222) and flush the DNS cache, things go back to normal. But if I launch Eddie, connect to a server and I go in the Network > Advanced > DNS it's back to 10.15.176.1 and fde6:7a:7d20:bb0::1. Any idea? Thanks. Quote Share this post Link to post
Staff 9973 Posted ... Hello! With default settings Eddie accepts the VPN DNS push to allow your system to query the VPN DNS. Since each VPN server runs its own DNS server, querying the VPN DNS implies total encryption and authentication of queries and replies, as well as names resolution improved performance. You can tell Eddie to not use VPN DNS, or even to not touch your DNS configuration, in "Preferences" > "DNS". Set the appropriate value in the combo box "DNS switch mode" and untick "Check Air VPN DNS" if necessary. Note: advertisements are not allowed in forum posts and will be removed from message. Ads may also cause messages deletion. Kind regards Quote Share this post Link to post

BTW, sorry if it sounded like an advertisement. It was not intended to. After my test, I renewed my subscription to AirVPN, even if I can't access IMDB . Best regards. Staff 9973 Posted ... Hellio! imdb.com is perfectly accessible from nearly all of our VPN servers (except just 5 servers which are blocked by imdb.com or imdb.com authoritative DNS) as you also see from the route check page. https://airvpn.org/routes Intermittent problems did sporadically arise from misconfiguration of IMDB DNS as we and many other services have thoroughly explained repeatedly in the past, but that's an imdb.com DNS configuration problem, not ours, which affect everybody. Kind regards That's weird, because I'm currently connected to AirVPN via Alshain, UK, and I can't connect to https://www.imdb.com/ while in the route check page Alshain has no problems connecting (see pic). I check IMDB a lot. 90% of the time it doesn't work. If I disconnect Eddie, it works. Quote Share this post Link to post

I'm using BATEN and i have lots of problems with imdb (i'm usually opening the page but it spends LOTS of time resolving: ia.media-imdb.com) Quote Share this post Link to post
kah0922 4 Posted ... Do you have ipV6 enabled? Because to my knowledge, the routing servers do not work with that enabled. Quote Share this post Link to post
robertoohoho 4 Posted ... I'm having the same king of problem again. For some reason, I had to disconnect Eddie because my IP had to match the country I live and AirVPN has no server there. When I did, I found myself in network lock. I went to check DNS in Preferences > Network > Advanced and it was set to 10.19.152.1 and fde6:7a:7d20:f98::1 (Eddie was disconnected), which is, if I understand well (I have a very basic understanding of all this) the AirVPN server's DNS I was previously using. I manually entered 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 then network lock stopped, and I could load web pages again. But shouldn't Eddie restore the DNS to the ones I've set, once it's off? Valerian 20 Posted ... Still having problems with IMDB.com. I know their domain is misconfigured, but if I use my ISP's servers or Google's DNS servers there is no problem. I only have a problem when using AirVPN's DNS servers. Can someone explain why this is? Quote Share this post Link to post

I only have a problem when using AirVPN's DNS servers. Can someone explain why this is? Hello! This problem should have been resolved in IMDB side, but the other problem (authoritative DNS servers blocking our DNS servers in some VPN server) is probably still ongoing. Can you tell us which VPN servers you experience this problem on (each VPN server runs its own DNS server)? Kind regards Quote Share this post Link to post

IMDB.com now seems to be working on all the servers I try, EXCEPT for IMDBPro (pro.imdb.com), where DNS lookups are still failing. Here are a few of the servers I haven't been able to reach pro.imdb.com with: AlathfarAlgediAlshainAndromedaAsterionBellatrixCarinaeHatysaOgma Again, this isn't a problem when using my own ISP's DNS servers.
