Since there's no Air client for Android, it's outside of Airs responsibility which apps you use. But Android Connect is not recommended. But this client is, by the process of elimination. Besides that, regardless of whether you use Eddie on the desktop and something else on Android, it's good practice to take other steps to increase your security, so you don't rely 100% on one product.
