Hello!

It would be helpful with some technical logs or any errors Minecraft is showing you, as we're otherwise working in the dark.

But it seems you're not alone. You could perhaps use Eddie in a VM and browse through that. Then keep the host computer running your ISP IP, for playing Minecraft .

Moderators do not speak on behalf of AirVPN. Only the Official Staff account does. Please also do not run Tor Exit Servers behind AirVPN, thank you.

Mojang/Microsoft in their infinite wisdom, have decided to prevent Minecraft users from logging in from VPN IP addresses.

They have cited security reasons for this, but as you'll find elsewhere, all support will tell you is that they don't recommend using a VPN while playing their game, and the solution is to turn it off.

Needless to say, i haven't played Minecraft in quite some time. That being said, some users have reported success in trying different VPN servers. It's the Netflix whackamole all over again.

Solution

Add this to your *.ovpn file or add them in Eddie preferences, "Routes" tab:

### UNBLOCK ###
# authserver.mojang.com, mcoapi.minecraft.net
route 54.230.147.107 255.255.255.255 192.168.21.1
route 34.195.179.245 255.255.255.255 192.168.21.1

Change 192.168.21.1 to your default gateway.

If it does not work, check the addresses you get for both domain names via nslookup, host or dig while you are not connected. Change the IP if it deviates from what is above. Examples below.

$ nslookup authserver.mojang.com
Server:        127.0.0.1
Address:    127.0.0.1#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    authserver.mojang.com
Address: 54.192.35.155

$ host authserver.mojang.com
authserver.mojang.com has address 54.192.35.155

$ dig a in authserver.mojang.com +short
54.192.35.155

» The community kindly asks you to not set up Tor exit relays when connected to AirVPN. Their IP addresses are subject to restrictions and these are relayed to all users of the affected servers.
