campvpn 0 Posted ... Apologies if this has been discussed before. I searched but didn't find anything. I use AirVPN on one PC (Win 10) connected to my home network via Ethernet. Prior to using AirVPN this PC immediately connected to the internet simply by plugging in the Ethernet cable. In other words, there was no software between the PC and the wired connection; Windows just "saw" the Internet and connected for me.Since installing AirVPN over a year ago this PC can only "see" the Internet if I connect to an AirVPN server. If I log out of AirVPN Windows immediately thinks the computer is no longer connected. My guess is the installation of AirVPN made some changes to Windows. I'm curious if it is possible to set up Windows so I can once again connect to the internet without using AirVPN. For example, if my daughter wants to play Minecraft (which, apparently, doesn't play nice with VPNs) I could simply log out of AirVPN and but still be connected to my ISP. Thanks in advance! Guest Posted ... I used to face similar issues with windows where using AirVPN changed the DNS settings. Check those settings and reset them if they have been changed. Quote Share this post Link to post
LZ1 672 Posted ... Hello! This has been raised many times before and it's nothing that can't be fixed. First of all, please check you're using the latest Eddie client, by going to Eddie's menu > About. Otherwise please head to the download page to get the latest stable release. Were you using Network Lock? If so, that's likely what went wrong: it was on and then you closed Eddie in an "improper" way and therefore it couldn't restore the pre-Network Lock settings. Thus no Internet access. Just follow this until step 3, but select the "Obtain automatically" option. Then you should be able to connect again.
